Epon AF101 Driver with NGS Superdelight SR shaft
Just re-read your last post and what is this KBS shaft? Are you talking about a steel shaft on the 101 head? I just dont see such a high torque shaft such as the delight on the 101. I would be all over the place.

Epon AF101 Driver with NGS Superdelight SR shaft
What, A800 for a NGS shaft? That guy must be crazy. Has he heard of Internet trade or online commerce? What this about 145g for an AF101 head? I am totally confused now. My 101 and 460 head is around 200g. I think you are better off getting facts from our friend Gocchin here then your local expert.

Epon AF101 Driver with NGS Superdelight SR shaft
I am using a 7061 Proto on a AF101 and another 7061 proto on a 460ZR. Just for fun, I am using a 5350 Proto on my Epon 380. Epon driver works just as well with Diamana White Board and the Kai'li. The stock shaft for Epon driver is the E line from NGS. The Delight line is relative new from NGS but certainly not the most expensive. You should take a look at the Drev line. NGS also added some models recently for more aggressive swinger and hitter.

Bridgestone Science Eye, useful analysis program?
I don't think this personal 'LM" is going to fix your swing. It would be more useful in an indoor range but if you have access to outdoor practice fac., nothing beats looking at ball flight. BTW, there is no English user manual. Gocchin here in this forum translated some basic operating manual for forum members and those purchased the unit here but software I believe is still in Japanese.

Japan Model Taylormade R9 Driver
Thanks T, I pretty much know how an after market would play but have not play a JDM stock shaft for the longest time. It is my impression that a stock would play 1/2 a flex to a full flex softer than after market depending on torque and bend point. Unfortunately R9 is not something one can change/swap shaft easily as with other clubs.

Japan Model Taylormade R9 Driver
Hi T: Is it true that the JDM stock Motore a TM only shaft? Fuji site only lists the F1 and Speeder. Is this stock Motore same as USDM stock except lighter and also 0.35 tip? The reason for all these questions is to find out how to compare flex stiffness on different models. I know I would be able to play the Kai'li 60 in R (or the USDM stock R) which they do not offer but would that be comparable to the stock Motore SR in term of flex (not necessary in shaft profile) ? ps: I am referring to the R9 max and not the regular R9.

Japan Model Taylormade R9 Driver
Golftown in Toronto had it out since last Tuesday or Wednesday for cad499 which is usd250 ( just kidding) and FW at cad279. I do not think the TP model would be out in Canada for awhile.

Gold's iron cover picture
We know the Gold's is using the Vega 40th anniversary line/head for its new mb and cb but was the old CB from Kyoei too? It does look a bit like the V-Cavity.

ViQ Driver shaft recommendations
Since the ViQ 2008 is a very good driver, I would experiment with the shaft first. Recently I had very good experience with two shafts, both by Diamana, the Kai'li and Bassara Hawk. Both shafts are mid/high kick which would give you a lower launch and more roll. Although the White would be even lower and less spin but the first two and particularly the Bassara, would makes a great FW shaft if it does not work out as a driver shaft. White Board as a FW shaft is a challenge.

opinions needed(JDM woods and shaft)
Bat, I actually had a Epon 101 built with the ali'isle for a friend but did not have a chance to play it or talk with him about it yet. It is just on spec that I like the Kai'li better. It has lower torque and higher kick like the White. Somehow I have the impression that the ali'isle is a bit of a compromise yet the Kai'li is totally new. It is just a feeling when I recommend the Kai'li to my friend which I play with often. I have not play the Fubuki as it is not an Asian model I don't believe but out of the Red, Blue, White and Kai'li, I like the last two the best on a driver. FYI, I love the feel of the new Bassara Hawk 53 on my 7 wood but no chance to test it on a driver yet. I would love to test the new EV first. ps: I would be in BKK next week for some R n R but no golf though.

opinions needed(JDM woods and shaft)
I think most JDM brands offer senior line but they are ususally more or very expensive. Some how they equate seniors with money. To name a few, Mizuno, S Yard, Maruman and probably others all have senior lines. I am sure Gocchin can give you more on that although he is just a few years older than my son.

opinions needed(JDM woods and shaft)
To answer your first question Kai'li, I had a chance to play it for 3 games this past week and I am very impressed by it. Since I was a former White Board flower band player (on the same Epon 460 head), I can tell you that the I like the Kai'li just as much if not more than the White. It has great feel and a very nice kick to it but different than the White. It launches the ball somewhere between the Blue and White and gives out similar roll out. I had recommended the GD EV5 and the Kai'li for my friend to install in his Epon and he ended up with the Kai'li since it is more readily available. I did not want to recommend the ali'islei as he is a high single and think this would suit him better. The reason I did not get one myself is that my Machline Proto 7061 feels every bit as good and I love the stiffer tip not unlike the white but with a different bend point. BTW, is your Callaway a composite head? If it is, you should change it as well to the new Legacy (for better feel). To answer your 2nd question, how 'senior' is your father in law? I am a senior by some official designation (62). Honma Beres 6 and 7 series are great for seniors but I am not there yet. My older brothers compensate loss of distance with longer, softer and lighter shafts at 47 and 48". Mind you that to use such as length, you need very good tempo and they were single players before hence much easier to adopt to new swing. FYI, one uses a GD MD5 and the other ZCom BW 44. Besides the Beres line, PRGR mades great clubs for senior such as the premium red line.

EPON product line for 2009
There is more room to adjust margin when the oem (most USDM and some JDM) makes their products off shore places such as China but more difficult for Japan made products. I think that the reason one does not see a any large increase in USDM pricing.

EPON product line for 2009
If you look at the current dollar yen rate and rate about 6 months ago, you would realize the Tourspec has not change the price for quite awhile (while Yen appreicated 10 to 15% against the usd). All J spec stuff are priced in yen and I am sure TSG has to settle with them in Yen but sell them to you in USD.

FOURTEEN Fairway Woods
Check out the new Geotech B Stream 3 wood at the Proshop now. Its 57* vs. 56.5* for the PRGR.

FOURTEEN Fairway Woods
I am sixty two and my measured ss is 90 mph. I do have a late release with my wrist so that would add some ss to it. Instead of a sweep/brush action on my FW, I tend to take a very small divot. I never had too much problem with FW regardless of lie angle of the clubs but 14* is just 1* stronger than the regular 15* 3 wood. I would prefer a 16.5* 4w but the distance gap with my UT3 is just too small now. I play a 10* driver at 45.5" and my #2 bro who is 71 plays a 9* at 46" and my oldest bro who is 77, a 10* driver at 48". They were all high singles when they were younger.

FOURTEEN Fairway Woods
It is labeled a 3 wood but I look at it as a 4 wood. I hit the recently constructed 19.5* Geotech hybrid so far, I have not hit the PRGR once during the last two rounds. I might take out my trusty RC CV pro 14* to replace the 16.5* soon. BTW, I would be posting in the BST section (hopefully tonight) your favorite Kenneth Smith driver for sale and please do not ask me about the lie angle.

T: Any idea of the lie angle of TR-X 505 Preimum Red 16.5* 4 wood (that I've just acquired)? I dont think it is listed at the web catalogue.
