  1. You are probably one of those players with a more 'active' wrist for playing a draw. I have the same problem with these new low profile, wide big driver like the EMB and Cleveland Hi Bore and have to adjust my swing accordingly. The design seems better fitted to a less wristy type of swing. I am also looking at a XCON 5 for a 460ZR head but would you mind telling me what flex you have and your SS? At the same time, what flex is your SL5 on the EMB? note: just read your other post on Axiv club fitting so no need to response on ss and sl5 flex. Thanks
  2. The TP version I have seen is all black and the head weight is 196 g. Yours looks grey.
  3. Sorry dont know much about TM, USDM or JDM and had never been a big fan.
  4. I have been reading this discussion with interest and this thing with TP forged. If it is coolness factor and real quality that you are after, then you should consider: All Epon line Japanese only Miura such as mb5003 or cb1006 Fourteen 770 or 1000 forged cb Limited Edition OnOff 247 forged irons by Miura Yamaha Tour Forged limited edition or just forged cb Gold's CB or MB last but not least, Matsumoto forged CB
  5. My Epon 380 is my 'fool around' club and I am now shafting it with a Diamana White Board d63 in R flex. My SS is 86 to 88 mph but play the older Fuji such as SIX, 569 and Zcom in stiff flex. I would be interesting to see how a high kick low spin shaft like the White would work with the 380. I would let you know how it works out after Easter.

11 deg bounce for a 60 deg wedge is higher than normal but you must have demo'ed on matt since there is still 2 foot of snow on the ground in Toronto. We do have softer than normal ground and bunkers, except on hardpan. Try again in real condition before making the decision. My problem with previous 56 or 58 Epon wedges was not enough bounce, i.e. Technity wedge 58/10. For fluffy soft Ohio sand, I like something in the 12 to 14 deg. range.

If you look at his join date and #, you would know he has been around a bit but just does not post much.
  8. My V-Steel 3 and 5 are 0.335 tip but they are J-spec TM.
  9. If you want to go cheaper, consider the Machline FW75. I have two installed on my 3 and 5 FW V-Steel and they are like new clubs.

Thanks for the reply and I would take a look at the Yamaha. It is unlikely that I would be replacing a set of type S with the 701. There is nothing wrong with my type S except I am giving them away to my cousin who is a 6 hdcp and really loves playing them.

I am just wondering whether there would be any new CB from Miura Giken in the immediate future. Besides the 5003, I am considering the cb1006 but it is almost 2 years old. I am already playing a set of CB201 and Epon AF301 and looking to replace my Epon type S with another Miura model. While the 5003 is very tempting, I dont know whether I have the game (consistently) for it. I would not consider the Passing Point due to its offset and strong loft. Any insight would be appreciated.
  12. Most, if not all, Miuras are satin finish as compare to the chrome in Gold's blades.
  13. I think the XR line was marketed a few years ago but did not realize that it is forged. edit: sorry, just look it up and they are forged and appears to be relatively new.
  14. The W60 would be a great FW shaft. Most lower handicap/players FW out from Japan is in the mid 60g. The W60 is a great progression in weight from the 55 g driver shaft.
  15. The 306 is a prototype (after the 206 about 6 to 8 months ago) that have not or might not be offically launched to the general public.
  16. Any Spec or technical difference between this new one and the exisiting 460? edit: Any Moi figures?

Anything organized by TSG for forum members that might or would attend this year's Fair?
  18. Can one oreder the MB-5003, 5-AW instead of 3 to PW? edit: should have check the proshop first before writing this post. Sorry please ignore.

Is it still warm enough to play at Chiba or you have to wear heavy winter golf gear?

Didnt he just sold (reasonalby) a set of retail today ?
  21. Perhaps it is really not a back-up bag but rather a second bag stored at a different club location. IMO the SF206 is as good as the Epon in feel. I have almost all Epons in one bag and Fourteen woods and Miura irons on the other.
  22. I dont know the 8 series so good luck in your search.
  23. I didnt look at the rest of your bag before and now I think the Drev Tour Stiff at NGS's flex of 13.5 kg is indeed very stout since your are playing R flex the rest of your bag. If you are going with the ARMRQ, the B54 R or B62 R would be a good choice. The B49 is too light and too flex for a mid to low handicap player.
  24. The Drev Tour Stiff with your Epon would be better than any J-spec driver stock shafts from anyone. So why change as Jack said? NGS is begining to get the recognition it deserves.
