  1. I have the SF206 3W in my backup bag. Like all Fourteen clubs (I have a 606 driver and a 106 hybrid), it is very solid but changed the stock R flex to a Fuji Six S and it is rocket now. The face angle is very similar to Epon 3w. It is either square or slightly closed. Head size is slightly larger than the Epon with face depth almost identical. Sorry, I dont have a camera handy.
  2. Would that be Graphite Design I-65 shaft or 1.65 as stated by you in your post? It does not appear to be a TM stock (Jspec or otherwise) shaft but could it be a J-spec option?
  3. The premium shaft upcharge is $140 for the Axiv X, $125 for the White and $200 for the GD Tour AD 9003, a difference of $60 to $75. I dont quite understand this " that's too much to spend to be the genuie pig!" IMO, the stock NGS is quite good already.
  4. Since you are a strong player with the handicap to go with it, why not consider the latest Graphite Design 9003 or p9003 for the strong and pro golfers. Take a chance and be the first one on the block to use it.
  5. Even I am not that crazy. The day I took T's beloved out for a test drive was a balmy +1c during the day. For those interested, the stock R measures at 215 cpm at 46" yet does not feel like a wet noodle.
  6. I have used the Axiv (5556m and 6060m) on drivers but found Machline shafts to be just as good if not better. I have installed Machline FW65 R on 3 and 5 wood and hybrid with very good result (you would be looking at SR or S flex). At $120 here at TSG, the Maclline FW is an inexpensive way to experiement. p.s. k22, what am I suppose to do in Toronto with -10c outside?
  7. It would be interesting to see the stock shaft or shaft option of the new hybrids.
  8. This thread is older than any of the clubs in my bag.
  9. Man, this thread was 3 1/2 years old and regardless, all drivers from Japan are conforming as of Jan 1 unless you want to find the Katana Max Cor or something similar.
  10. I have never heard about this model from PRGR. Can you post a few pictures?
  11. I am actually leaning towards the White Board and not the Axiv V. I never play the V but found the normal Axiv to be ok but not exceptional. The JC 606 is a fine head and just the right size at 420 or 430 cc. while the spec says 1* close, it does not look that close at address. I have too many drivers so the JC606 is just my backup now. With so many good driver heads, the club is really a function of the shaft and I find my hook and or push/slices are not as severe with the white board. If you are a decent ball striker with good enough swing speed, the white is a great driver shaft with good feel of the club head since it is butt soft. If you really launch the ball low regardless, then perhaps its not the right shaft. If you are to go with a Rombax, the X series would be the only one I would consider. Dont know much about the new Z. For whats worth, I am one of those guys that just cannot play the Roddio.
  12. Just to add my 2 cents- the Diamana White Board d63/73/83 is a Tip stiff, high kick but low spin shaft. Your right or left mistakes would tend to be less severe with a lower spin head and shaft. BTW, I do have a JC606 but it is shafted now with a Machline Proto 5350.
  13. A bit disappointed that it is a driving iron type of hybrid. Hey rbtlin, we have many clubs/shafts in common in WITB.
  14. From the catalog/website, it is not a constant weight as in 3001 and its 97 to 88 g for stiff flex with low/mid kp. I have the 3001 in R and the AC10 R80 but on different heads. I refer the feel of the 3001 (rifle like stepless) over the AC10 (step).
  15. Free advertising if only you like the food.
  16. I dont believe so but I know which one you are talking about. GM is mainly some club testings and instructional text/video and informerical stuff.
  17. You did not include the very junky Golf Mechanic? At least you get a free DVD with every issue.
  18. It is indeed a very nice bag but I do have one small concern as to the placement of the pockets/zippers. This is for sure a cart bag and by placing on the golf cart or pull/push cart, one or some of the pockets would be facing in and not readily accessible. Did I see the picture correctly?
  19. Dont they also come in model numbers for different head shapes, i.e. #0 or #2?
  20. Which model of epon irons did you try?
  21. www.shimadagolf.com
  22. It is likely more for the benefit of the large Japanese fans base.
  23. Welcome to the forum and by finding it, you would have known that this is also an online store for all the latest and the best of J-Spec golf gears so I find your comment : most interesting and kind of difficult to answer. You should spend time in going thru the proshop and all the old post on J spec stuff before settling in a new set.
  24. I have never seen anything longer than 4 inch parallel tip out of Japan.
  25. New fairway woods come and go but the RC CV Pro and now the new CV Pro TP must be one of the all time best if you are a player.
