  1. You want a low launch hybrid or you actually want to control trajectory with weights and things?
  2. I just had my Fourteen 3 wood reshafted with a old Fuji SIX driver shaft in S. Due to lightness of the Six, I had to leave the length at half inch longer than standard now at 43.5 inch playing at 255 cpm. Wow this thing just rocks now with a mid launch and long. The stock Fourteen R was not bad but just too soft for me and now this combo just go straight and long. I have forgotten how good the Fuji SIX was and I am glad I renew the acquaintance.
  3. I have not play either but if you look at the spec of both clubs, your conclusion might be the Mizuno E500 over the ViQ Mx for forgiveness. We could very well be splitting hair here too but the E500 is a high MOI driver while the other two make no such claim. Only if you believe in the MOI hype.
  4. I have 2 sonartec 03 with Tour Platform, a 14 and a 16 and both play slightly higher than my new Fourteen 15 degree 3 wood which has a slightly deeper face. It is my understanding that a deeper face would promote a lower flight rather than higher. At the same time, the flight, besides a function of CG, would largely be a function of the profile of the shaft used. Then again, I am not expert in club design or function but most JDM fairway woods would not have deep face as a way to promote higher launch.
  5. Don't you think you have enough, son?
  6. This could very well be true as we were playing Mizuno forged irons before Tourstage came on the scene strong and appeal to the younger players. Mizuno players (like Honma of yester years) also display certain loyalty too perhaps Miz was the big daddy of forged/player's irons in Japan for the longest time.
  7. T: In order to truly test your irons, particularly wedges, you must go and find a outdoor grass range instead of indoor mat. You just cannot get the same feel on mats. We are looking forward to your next test.
  8. There was a ball test in the May issue of Golf Classic. The test was for 10 of the newest and latest JDM balls with 17 latest JDM drivers. You can figure out the permutations. Perhaps Gocchin can do a translated summary for us.
  9. Hi Tourstage bape I love the look and the workmanship. Let's get one, T.
  10. Hi T: While we are on the tread of obscure brands, would you be able to find the official website and share it with us, for Pnoez shafts or more particularly the PX-1 line which was featured in the recent shaft shootout on GolfGear. The shaft looks interesting.
  11. If you are ordering one T, put me down for one at 50* A wedge, NSPRO850 R flex with the name DUFF19 (max of 6 letters) on it. I love the laser etched logo 'GS'.
  12. It has been said (by Gocchin) that I like obscure Japanese brands (somewhat true) but this is one for you -www.grindstudio.com for those who like custom wedges and soon irons. Just looking at the pictures, the wedges look fantastic. I found this link accidentally from a well known Japanese golf blogger site, Toshi at www.anserfreak.ne.jp (an older Japanese version of Inpakuto?) p.s. For your infornation T, Matsumoto is not an obscure brand; unlike GD, HM has been a putter maker for over 40 years.
  13. What is the final playing length of the captioned driver and did you feel like a pull due to weight of shaft?
  14. go to www.golf-ngs.co.jp Great little company for handmade shaft and I have the 5350 Proto. It is still relatively unknown hence reasonable price compared to big names. They are just as good if not better. I would take a NGS product over Fuji anytime having use both.

The 611 is for stronger ladies and/or seniors and in your case senior lady? haha PRGR 502 M36 or M40 would be a way better choice and also the InpresX 460d in R.

I took out a Beres 711 for a game last year and it was crap for the price. The head is way too big for my taste and distance is short compare to my own. I think they realize the problem with the 711 hence came up with the 712 in a hurry. The 712 seems to be much better looking. I am not good enough to play the 9 series.
  17. Just looking at the description of your swing, it is my feeling that the Epon driver and 3 wood might be the wrong club for you at least the 460 cc model. I have the 460 and my ss is just 90 mph. It is just my feeling that the Tourstage new X Drive would be better fit than the Epon, regardless of the hype but choose your shaft wisely and carefully.
  18. Gocchin Take the PRGR instead of the ViQ. I have seen it and it is a very attractive driver but then you can always consider the Yamaha 460 also.
  19. This is exactly my point- putter shafts of equal weight with the rest (head weight, loft and grip) being equal would make very little difference in feel.

While I did not have a chance to hit one, I did held it in my hand at a store in Japan last week. The first impression is that the head is long front to back, than any current Mizuno drivers and it is extremely light. The weight and shape might put some people off.
  21. My Japanese is limited but I think the finalists for Class 5 were NSPro Tour 85 X vs. Diamana D85 X.
  22. I have seen the picture of a 'Lucky 39' somewhere in this forum. While I believe they are made by the same company, it is totally different then the Fit39 on material and feel when I put one on this afternoon in Japan. I would stick to my Fit39.
  23. Class 5 (ss 48m/s +) Contenders: Riddio W8WA GD QT 85s Quad 8 PX 1 8001 NSPRO Tour Romax 8X07 Drev Proto Diamana D83
  24. Class 4 (s/p 45-48 m/s) Contenders: Quad 7,GD Proto CP02,PX-1 7001(?), DREV ICN Tour, NSPRO GT700, AXIV V-7072, FSP MX4, Roddio W-W7A, Diamana D75, GD QT 75, Rombax 7X07, Quadra Red Tour X. Finalists: FSP MX4 and Diamana D75 with FSP the winner. I have heard the name FSP name for a few years but never seem one on the market. It must be one of the hand made boutique shaft outfit like the NGS but only smaller. There is the Class 5 for ss over 48 m/s with Diamana D85 the winner in overall performance.
