  1. How much is 'so expensive'? I also saw a set of brand new mb2 today and it is around 1,250 for 3 to pw.
  2. I totally agree with Idrive. Anything magnetic near an iron is a terrible idea. I had a UT cover that is magnetic and it kept snagging with the irons. That was one cover and can you imagine 8 or 10 magnetic covers?
  3. That was not true a month ago as there were at least over 10 premium zones (in a sale bin) at Central Golf in Hong Kong and Chris was also saying that shops in Japan were dumping them. Maybe they are not popular in the P. I. hence difficult to find.
  4. Spoon: Just buy the one that looks good to you and thats that. It is only a putter and you can adjust to any putter not unlike a set of irons. If it does not work out, just put it aside and play with it 6 months later.
  5. I would go for the 3 wood and 5 wood combo. I also obtained recently from a member here, a G-Field 4 wood with a red board playing at 42 inches. It is at least 30 yards shorter than my Fourteen 3 wood both off the tee and off the deck. If you have 'space', carry a 3 and 5 wood plus a 22 to 24 degree hybrid. This should meeting 95% of your need. Having said that, carry a 4 wood f you have problem hitting a 43 inch 3 wood off the turf.
  6. 4 to 6 times the cost, would the Quattro Tech be 4 to 6 times better? Your call. Since people here that play the quattro tech would not play a ys 6 which effectively a shaft for the north American market.
  7. Any time you bend a wedge, you would change the bounce slightly. As to whether it would play negatively, I cannot say for just 1 to 2 degrees espeically already high loft. I have bended my 55 degree Miura sand to to play it like a 53 degree gap, it just did not play right perhaps of the bounce (it has since been bended back as a SW,)
  8. When you play a demo, you are demo'ing the head together with whatever shaft the rep or store had at the time, so you are taking a risk anyway on your question of shaft upgrade. It is always a risk with JDM shaft if you never play the brand or that particular shaft. TSG have some fitting advices but it is still a risk at the end. Is GD Quattro tech an option for special order with Titleist or are you simply ask opinion on different shafts? You would get tons of comment on shaft only but not necessary on the Titleist 907 D2 combo.
  9. I think the reason you dont see a lot of high end Japanese shaft with the Titleist driver is that not many in this post play with Titleist drivers in the first place, espcially the new 907. On domestics, there are probably more TM here than Titleist in this site.
  10. I had an older model Onesider and the face is on a hard side (as compared with the Epon driver soft). The one I had definitely was closed face and made alignment difficult at times.
  11. M-43 is a reference to 43 m/s swing speed for driver. This has been PRGR designation for years on shaft stiffness.
  12. You can still find those drivers? Those are at least 4 years old.
  13. This is the way PRGR rates their shafts, it is a reference to driver ss.
  14. Well T: I just cannot keep up with you on all these. My head is still spinning from all these beautiful gears. I guess I would just have to stop looking at your posts from now on.
  15. That is the reason I brought the Matsu MG 8. I think it is the best of both worlds -Small neo mallet with anser style head and two sight lines for alignment and it is relative heavy.
  16. Did I see the 5 degree of bounce on the 59 sand or lob (2004 Maru)? It may be too little bounce if you use it as sand wedge here in Ontario since most premium courses have fluffy Ohio. If you are just collection as usual, I would say the 04.
  17. I know I am the spoiler here and apology to Gocchin in advance... I think Gauge putters are overrated and wouldnt compare it with Betts which are special.
  18. Soft=Forgiveness? I think not. If you looking for forged and forgiveness, try the new XXIO forged. XXIO is famous for forgiveness but I have my doubt on Yururi.
  19. Is that one of those Studio B?
  20. Titleist does not have a Japanese version with the exception of shaft options. Cleveland made some lame attemp with a Japanese line but not caught on yet. Mizuno JPX E500 is #8. This is a list for ranking models sales and not brand sales.
  21. And they go to discount (steep) very quickly particularly the older models when NX came out early this year. The NX had some good early review as well. I still have a Japanese version NV2 that I lend to friends on occassion and they make great FW.
  22. The shaft alone would explain 90% of the distance difference. I am surprised the gain was not more.
  23. What is the reason why so many people have single 4 iron for sale? I can understand a 3 irons since most do not play 3 but a 4?
  24. Wow! Nice stuff
