  1. Interesting that you mentioning the Ks7001. My local fitter told me about the livelier kick of the 7001 vs. the 3001 I had installed a few months ago. Is that true?
  2. Isnt the Type S more comparable to 501 while the X with 701? or did I get this turn around.
  3. This is indeed the deal of the year.
  4. Anything is possible but just not recommended. Then again, you can always try.
  5. You do this all the time but not the other way around.
  6. I dont why this is a good thing but isnt it the convention for most steel shafts anyway, not just the BG? The only 'constant weight' shaft I know is a few models in the Shimada line up and they use it as a marketing point.

My local fitter mentioned that the new 7001 shaft is very good and I am tempted to give it a try. I already have the K's3001 on a set of Mizuno which I am happy with but interested to find out the difference since both weight in the high 80s g. I play DG before and currently have two sets of nspro 850. Any comment would be appreciated.
  8. Off-season training, I have never seen you at the Launch?
  9. No idea but probably not as limited as one might think. Regardless they are still very sweet and IMO still softer than recent models.
  10. Your season is almost over so wait until when they coming out with a new line. The Td+ is being discounted at my club here and if you are serious pm or pin me. If you have not see it in person, it looks like a miniture Md with a much shorter heel to toe.
  11. Years ago, RC had a line of FW that were similar to the new FDs, wide and big but with a bored thru shaft. I do not recall the model but it is also a 14 degree and 43 inches long. I had a hell of a time hitting that FW and so were the people I gave (not sell) away the club. It had channel and everything but it is just a slice machine. I have no problem later with the Sonartec ss 01 03 and 07 and recently the very classic looking and feeling CV Pro. If you are a mid to low handicap player, the Fd is not for you. I am going to pick up a td+ though as it looks much better than the md.
  12. To be fair to Jack, the cover from ComoCome he mentioned does look plasticy as it is plastic i think while most, if not all SC are soft leather. I too were put off by some of the earlier ComoCome material, notwithstanding the novel designs. I particularly do not like the pattern leather looks that feels rigid and hard.
  13. If the difference is 30 to 40 yards, it is really a no brainer no matter how ugly the PRGR looks nowadays. No Epon, or any iron would be able to match that with or without fitting.
  14. what is the value of the R 7 jacket that Freak is looking for? T, I would take a look at Festival while there to see whether they have off season items. I got some great bargins for off season stuff from BIC last year.
  15. That particular x is probably designed for 60 to 70 g graphite and your black gold is probably 120 to 130 g. IMO, one should not put steel shafts into graphite irons or vice versa. You can remedy the SW by having the fitter to put some lead tape inside the grip end to counter balance it but the total weight would increase but decrease in SW. You can even balance certified each club but that would be an expensive way to go.

My son used to be crazy about the movie. Sorry but seriously they are good clubs, more drivers than irons although it was tested and rated highly in one of Golf Gear Mag.
  17. I seem to recall that the old Epon FW is forged Titanium vs stainless this time or am I just confused as always?
  18. We really need a serious talk, son, about this 'habit' of yours.
  19. Is the 58MD just the Limited X wedge 58 degree loft and 11 degree bounce? That's it?
  20. I wasnt interested before but now I want to look for it.
  21. I do not think it really work by placing lead tape inside the grip area. I had it done to 'counter-balance' the club so it would feel lighter in swing weight, i.e. from a D4 back down to a D1 or D0. To increase head weight, some people would use tungsten powder in the hosel but it really doesnt not mean the shaft is heavier, only the head feel.
  22. Is it your personal design or a design by The Master?
  23. While I dont read Japanese, did I make out the weight is 600 g? That's nice and heavy for the little O ring.
  24. Alpha, Notwithstanding your very nice bag, I like your new Avatar. Is that Maggie? She looks so badd.
  25. I would resist all temptations. I would absolutely not buy another piece of gear until I reach my handicap goal for the year....... T, did you get my email about the head?
