Yeah they were released about 6 months ago and I do like the design except the shiny enamal. They remind me of the G-field bags, not only the way the enamel scratches but as you cans see from the pics, how they easily lose their shape.

Yes T, it definitely has a lower profile and slight offset, it's also using that new SUP10 face which is supposedly high intesity and only 2.5mm thick. I've added it to the pro shop for anyone who's interested in trying it, though it won't be out till November so it'd be pre-order. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/proshop/p1445/...oduct_info.html

The rombax's will always play a little bit stiffer than the Axiv's but sammo is right, more kick in the axiv.
-
The Axiv CPM ratings are taken raw (with no grip) and unfinished with a 7" clamp (others measure with 5") and because of this the CPM numbers are skewed higher. My finished guess of that shaft at 45" is around 251-256cpm which would be similar to the 6W06.

Hi T, as you probably already know, the Hyper ERC is made by Endo which means super quality.... Almost every Callaway pro in Asia made the switch to the Hyper ERC as they consider it the best driver Callaway has ever made, the combination of feel and performance. The face of the Hyper ERC is Hot Forged SP700 Titanium and is the first club with Callaway's Hyperbolic face technology. The rest of the body is a 15-3-3-3 Titanium Crown + Ttitanium body + Ttitanium weight tip/chip = 23g which is called the Power Generator or what creates the low center of gravity that gets the ball up and on trajectory. As for the Hyper X, all I know is that it uses the Hyperbolic face technology but I'm unsure about the rest of it's design and materials used. T

The Black G's were an older model before Tour AD time... they are slightly lighter than the Pro's and have low kick points on the longer iron shafts. They also have higher torque and are parallel tip. The Tour AD's being taper is a massive plus for me. Every time I wanted to put the Axiv's which are parallel in a set of irons I had to bore them out to 0.370. The Axiv's were smooth and played much softer than the GD's but they just didn't feel right in my hands. Honestly the AD-65 and 75 for me feel like superlightweight steel with nice feel.
-
The pros are heavier than some steel shafts. They weigh from 100=118g depending on which shaft. Swingweight should not be a problem unless you want like D5 or something. Honestly I love the GD shafts. My Axiv graphite iron shafts are on the shelf right now and I have two sets of the Tour AD AD-75 and AD-65 in my irons. SOOOOO smooth, long and tight. All the GD iron shafts have mid kickpoints and do not balloon at all, even my lighter weight ones. Torque on the Pro's is at 1.5* which is pretty much steel like. You will pretty much get the dispersion of steel but the performance and feel of graphite. If you can splurge for them I think they are well worth it.

It's slated for a mid November release.

Face angle is square on this driver, not fade biased bit made to go straight. It's interesting they actually describe the crown as black ion plated with a red spider web like design.
-
Square face angles on all lofts according to RC.

Tourstage is releasing their next generation X-Blade CB3! Pretty much ZERO offset: Tungsten weights in the long irons: Club 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 PW Loft 18 20.5 23 26 30 34 38 42 46

Tourstage has released an all new all black 445cc version of their X-Drive driver. The target audience is lower handicappers looking for a smaller more solid feel. They recommend swing speeds of 100mph and above for this driver. It is longer front to back but less potruding in the heel area to give it more of a pear shape. The face is shallower and is considerably longer heel to toe. Comes with a special Tour Design Diamana shaft: Carbon red pearl like finish on the crown: Tested to produce far more carry than the X Drive 460, due to it's lower center of gravity and higher trajectory and lower spin (Orange bar is carry): Available in 9.5 and 10.5 lofts.
-
Already showing tour use among TS pros, they finally introduce a new driving iron. The iron is forged and uses a SUP10 face. (I'm not familiar with this material... yet) Available in 18, 20.5, 23 and 25.5* lofts!

First the driver: Tourstage has completely redesigned their ViQ driver. Still 460cc like the MX and deep it houses an all new look and design. It features more forgiveness than any previous Tourstage driver and higher MOI than any other ViQ: It features a dual fin face unlike other drivers that have a standard shaped face welded on, the dual fin actually extends to the crown and sole to transfer ball energy better. The dual fin space also makes the CG or Sweet spot extra large on the face as shown in the pics below that off center hits still produce close to 100%. A special bridge in the back creates stability and stops head twisting for straighter than ever shots:

Royal Collection has been doing this for 10+ years and is on every model of their Fairways and Utilities... every other manufacturer that uses a similar sole patterned their soles after RC. (^_^)
-
Based on inputs from touring pros and 10 years of making some of the best performing fairways in the golfing world.... Royal Collection is releasing their new Pro TP Fairway. For the scratch golfer and low handicapper, this is a 145cc and smaller, compact steel fairway wood with v sole and RC's patented channel sole. Available from TSG with multiple lofts and with some of the best JDM shafts. (please note one of the pics, the quattro tech is mistakenly showing a PT series).

The two dots in this case are 58 and 57.
-
C, The dots only designate loft not grind type.

I did a little research on the web and since the limited edition which are retail are from labo spec ONOFF they are the same sets as being used on tour. Hence the high price.

Very difficult to choose right now.... and my Chikara's are still on the way...

PRGR's New M3 Hit **TOUR** w/ PICS!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
PRGR makes their own proprietary shafts and they aren't too bad, they would probably be considered one of the better oem/stock shafts around. Very wide range of flex available, mostly mid to high kick points, nothing over 68g torque ranging between 4.5-6.7. Typical OEM specs but good quality carbon. -
Here you go Jack... it's quite a beauty, 100% hand made... we're "still" working on getting them to TSG....
-
I have both those issues. I will check.

1070 steel is equivalent to S70C and is a high carbon steel. Never heard of it being used in clubs but then again there are tons of different steels out there.

It's actually about to be put on the Epon head (^_^). It's in transit from Japan right now, will review it when it gets here. I get excited and prematurely add things to my signature. (^_^)
