Actually this isn't usually the case. Only recently for Epon. The Zero, Personal and Zen are the first time I have seen more than one limited model from Epon in a year. (some years none). But its certainly a ploy used by many brands to create demand and raise prices.

I know but right now I can't tell. But I might have something to show you next week. (^_^)

Though the Yamaha is also very soft. Remember feel can be subjective!

For any wood, legal cor is 0.83 and under. The smaller the head the harder it is to increase the spring efficiency which is why its rare for FW's to have COR's that high. I know for sure the ERC HOT drivers were non conforming but as far as I can remember the ERC FW's were conforming. I don't know of any mainstream Japan model that has been non conforming. -
Its unfortunate this bag is sold out..:o(

UPDATED Oct 10th: Custom Mizunos from Yoro Craft Thread
gocchin replied to gocchin's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
So far only a few custom Mizuno orders have come in or are about to come it. They are not exactly cheap so it has taken some time for people to bite the bullet. So far I've been quite impressed with the quality of the work, at least the finish and workmanship. They are beautiful! -
It really depends. The LY02 is about 10g heavier than the RoyDeco and is the highest launching. The Protos are both different from one another as I noted on the blog, the 531 is butt stiff while the 513 is butt soft. This translates into quite different feel. The RoyDecos and its protos are also firm in the center and tip though the LY02 is softer in the tip.

Differences include, shape, grind. and even materials. The two new wedges the SX and Alcobaca are amazing. I had a chance to check them out a few months ago and they are beauties. The SX is a tad rounder and is S20C. It has the groove in the sole which is very nice for versatility . The Alcobaca is a bit more of a teardrop and is also S20C. Its sole is a multi level sole and what they call a double arch sole. The SX is probably the more all around wide variety of player wedge while the Alcobaca is the wedge players want to open up and try all kinds of more difficult shots like flop shots, lobs etc thanks to the sole design. The VX and W are older models actually and were out last year. The W is one of Romaro's older designs and is a more classic no frills kind of shape whole the VX really compliments the Ray v Forged irons with the similar sole and shape and size. If you are looking at a new Romaro now its certainly the SX or Alcobaca. I am about to build a SX in 50 56 and an Alcobaca in 60.

New PRGR egg spoon HD heavier and deeper model
gocchin replied to Spoon's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The thing that stands out for me is that they not only made it deeper faced and heavier, they actually changed the face material which appears to make it more hot. It's 0.81 COR is only surpassed by Ryoma's FW. Apparently most fairway woods average around 0.73ish for COR meaning there is much more spring effect from the Egg Spoon HD and Ryoma FW. -
The Proto 519 is available in 65 and 75g weights.

Hard to believe its a 50g shaft eh? Many have given feedback that the protos are superb. Rarely does a 50g or lighter shaft excel with faster swingers but the RoyDeco and its protos do for the following reasons: high torque equals not only great feel but... forgiveness as its easy to square to the ball Lightweight making it easy to swing easy easy to load easy to unload... big kick for awesome carry Spins pretty darn low for an ultralight... Rob it could very well be the shaft!

Next up are Craig's MP69 with W sole grind and the beautiful double nickel satin. This is how satin should be done. Mizuno blue paintfill, white for CRAIG. are all a nice touch. -
Andrew I am surprised though that they fly a little high for you. Most find the SP Blue rather penetrating. In that case I would probably have to attribute the flight more to the design of the AF-Tour than the Blues. The Personal Iron would be a better choice with a thicker muscle and higher CG.

They were satin from the factory. Beautiful set.

Crazy shaft or ryoma supplier in Macau or Singapore ?

We have nearly 13000 customers worldwide now, Vietnam included. Cost is about the same for a shaft around 20.00 -
Ant is exactly right, so many different factors reflect stiffness of a shaft including design and the fact is Bassara and Diamama while both made by Mitsubishi are different materials, different designs and usually targeting different players. weight, torque, materials, kickpoints, tip stiffness. center stiffness, butt stiffness all affect general "flex". A 40g stiff flex will of course be softer than a 70g stiff flex but even that is a generalization. A stiff flex RoyDeco will cpm out less than an R flex TJ80, but the types of players going after these two shafts would be completely different.

Wedge Recommendation to go along with Epon AF-Tour Blacks

Yururi is a nice fit for the finish and feel wise. Forged at Kyoei, less offset than the Fourteens. -
Ikasu is not even a Japanese brand, just a Japanese name. As people mentioned they use Kyoei open models.
