I tested the line, and it falls within the SFD models which are aimed at the more average golfer. I much prefer the TRC, 505 and 305 models. The utility review is here from last year... http://www.golftoimpress.com/royal-collection-sfd-black-utility-review/

We are very happy to have Tats as part of the team. Great guy, and AWESOME golfer. Waiting for you go get back to Japan so we can go for another round!

It's hard to vote for some of the models that are very new or the ones that are not even out yet. It also depends on the best CB for who. For the better player I'd say the Yamaha Tour. For the medium capper and improving player the ONOFF Forged. And for the average golfer the D Forged or the original VG3 Forged for those who want something smaller.

Awesome to hear Michael! I'm glad could fuel your new JDM obsession! Next is the driver which you should have any day now!

Tourstage 2012 X-Blade 707 - First Impressions

Great feedback R! I am glad they worked out for you. Definitely a great design with lots of technology which helps create better impact! -
Glad you like it Carl! The Zero should be on the way soon!
-
The right profile for you would also be a Z, similar to the 50 in that it can handle harder swingers and provide control and stability plus distance. Yes there will be thread for Basileus coming up soon.
-
The Fiamma vs the Z and Spada are quite different profiles. Based on what you are considering with the BB and Diamana X you are better off looking at the Z as you suggested yourself, which is stiff all through the shaft from tip to butt. Very much like the Diamana X. All the descriptions of every Basileus model is in the pro shop. http://www.tourspecgolf.com/m104/Basileus---Triphas/index.html

I don't want to scratch the beautiful club's finish. (^_^) I also don't want to ruin its performance with my 90 mph swing!

It's hard to tell from that photo. You are correct though that this color combo would be a custom order.
-
Depends what flex. 7.2 is 4.4
-
Please note that while the release date is the 7th, that is a Saturday here in Japan. The heads will come to us the following week from Ryoma and for those who have custom builds, there will be some time to complete those. But the date appears to be firm now.

Difference Between Onoff Pro and caddie .....
gocchin replied to DaleUK's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Where is the pro replica caddy bag? There is a tour caddy bag OB0912 which is in the shop and an all new Limited Edition Shingo Bag OB0112 which is even bigger and available in 3 Shingo colors which he uses. Shingo has his own bag, all other onoff pros use OB0912 -
Any info on PRGR ID460X Non-conforming Driver?
gocchin replied to suheric's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
PRGR is never at the Golf Fair, and thats their decision just like Yamaha. They don't believe they need the extra marketing and prefer to place their yen on web and internet marketing here in Japan instead. But as we all know they are two great brands and not showing up at the golf fair doesn't change that. -

Roddio Pentacross w-5ba (vs. Royal deco vs. Wyvern/Griffin)
gocchin replied to Shankopotamus's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
I played the W5BA for over a year in an old Epon Technity 460. It was a great shaft with very good feel. It's not quite as light as the RoyDeco or the lightest Wyvern but its just as soft as the torque is also quite high which translates into a lot of that feel. I would rank it inbetween the RoyDeco and Wyvern for distance and stability and quality is very close to the Crazy as are all Roddio Shafts. -
Tatsuro get's fitted at the Crazy HQ in Japan!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
As for why the softer flexes straightened out its quite hard to say as I can't recall now what the monitor numbers were but the fact that it did for both Tats and Taka-san who are both aggressive (especially Taka-san) can be attributed to the RoyDeco and its ability to square up. Back in October when I tested the RoyDeco on the launch monitor I also did better with R flex vs SR which is what I originally though I would be using since I can be aggressive. What I found was that even shots that seemed to want to left or right would straighten out especially with the softer flex. Keep in mind this is not the way it would work for everyone but perhaps it is a new concept, the harder you swing the softer flex you should get. (^_^) That said, the royDeco has an uncanny ability to meet the ball which is really what allows players to swing away without thinking. The torque is high which certainly helps the club return quickly which is probably a big reason why the fast swingers had the club release right at the ball. Once again when you all watch the video, remember every player is different. the CB46 was best for Tatz but its profile fitting is quite narrow for that shaft as are most of the "Black" models. -
Working on it... so far very nice. Feel is not quite as soft as the very nice 703 Limited. Distance may actually be better and the adjustability a plus. So far so good.

I have gamed an ONOFF fairway wood in my bag every year for the last 3 years. They are one of the hottest feeling but solid heads around. Are more traditional shaped and more deep faced. I have also had all the eggs, the Ryoma, the RC TRC and VS Tour, as well as countless others I've tested for the blog. The ONOFF has the hottest feel and is my favorite to tee off with. My apologies the Type S and D FW's are not in the shop yet. I should have them in by early next week.
-
Most brands do only offer a year. For you the E, your swing speed like mine is well under the limit so we should be okay.
-
Of course. We sell everything PRGR. The new bags should be out soon.

2012 Japan Golf Fair - Official TourSpecGolf Thread!
gocchin replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
They should all be in next week, what's missing are the drivers, FW's and shingo spec wedge. But as always people don't have to wait for them to be in the pro shop to order. -
As always they have real lofts with a variance usually of around 0.5* meaning you could probably get as low as 10* real loft. Epon has stressed to me and I mean stressed... that this is a VERY VERY low spin driver (yes they used the word very twice!)
-
Its not leading to frustration Ed, it already is and has been very frustrating!! (^_^)

If it was an ADR driver then it was definitely the shaft since thats not that great a head. But as I always say, a great shaft can turn and average head into a very good one. The LY02 has good distance but the RoyDeco even more. If the 02 felt soft in an R, you are definitely SR in the RoyDeco as it does NOT feel stiff... T
