GeoTech 3 wood?
The GT model I reviewed is significantly better feel and technology wise than the Prorotype. I would highly recommend it over the other.

Basileus fiamma shaft
I've had the Fiamma for a month now. I have not written that much about it. It went in my Ryoma and came out with the same CPM as the STOCK Ryoma shaft. It was much softer than I expected and was less stable than the stock shaft. I went left all the time with the Fiamma but not so much with the stock shaft. Also while the finish is pretty its durability is very poor, chips too easily and even prepping the tip flakes off the finish. Went back to a Crazy LY01 Hot.

Yururi Chili vs. Tour
Most good ball strikers wanting best spin and maximum workability including tight lies will go for the Tours. The Tours have reasonably high bounce as well which will benefit a digger like yourself.

all titanium is shaped in china.. what does this mean
Sigh... what to say. All these experts. Epon is certainly not made in China, neither is the Ti. Though some of those brands listed certainly are made in China, TM, Miura, Ping, USDM Titleist, all made in China. Callaway, JDM Titleist, Epon, Yamaha, Tourstage are all done at Endo, either in Japan or in Thailand.

New Ryoma Special Tuning Driver
C, the RoyDeco is a superb distance shaft but it really does fit a specific type of swing. If you have been working on your swing which I think you have and you find the roydeco is not giving you the dispersion you want, a different more balanced shaft may be better as the Roydeco is a pure distance shaft.

Ryoma Hi COR, when
Same here Jay, with a soft distance ball, the rebound off the face is superb.

Epon Technity 415
The 460 and 415 Technity drivers have the same general shape and design with the 415 being more compact and pear shaped. Its a bit harder to hit but very good feel and very good distance.

Geotech components
We all must keep in mind that there is a reason why Geotech clubs are made in different locations and its because of cost. None of their drivers are made in Japan because if they were, their prices would double. However we must also remember, Geotech has 2 decades of metal woods manufacturing experience. They are not just a brand but a manufacturer and because of this they know what they are doing. The check manufacturing and quality assurance extensively and as their staff always tell me, many of the China and Taiwan clubs they produce have quality rivaling Japanese made clubs. But they are able to keep much lower price points due to manufacturing the products outside of Japan. You can read a bit about their background in the blog I made here http://www.golftoimpress.com/visiting-geotech-golf-a-brief-look-into-japans-leading-component-golf-club-company/

Yururi wedges - conforming or not?
Nope no raw conforming wedge at all, it was too difficult for Yururi to make the Raw conforming without losing its "edge".

New Ryoma Special Tuning Driver
Craig, its interesting your comment on the feel. I have tested the Special Tuning head to head vs the conforming models and I think the Special Tuning feels better. Nice pop and but that soft but crisp feel off the face. It can only feel this way since its probably got a thinner face than any other driver. Distance wise its about 20y longer than my conforming Ryoma but it does launch higher. I find it more forgiving. I hit shots off the heel and low on the face that traveled as far as my conforming Ryoma. And even those miss hits felt good, I thought I hit center.

Driver shaft flex.... Really?
I've stressed this many times on the forum and blog, shaft flex is so generic. It is a general rating of how stiff a shaft "might play". So many other factors that affect a shaft and how it fits a player. Top end Crazy shafts naturally CPM high due to their high carbon which returns to original shape much quicker so when checking the CPM numbers come out high. But when you play the shaft, they come alive and produce very good feel and are very playable even with the higher CPM ratings which again is just one measurement. One of the reasons why Crazy is so popular.

Ryoma Hi COR, when
Ryoma claims 20-30 yards... hontoni. So far some customers have reported 10-25y gains, depending on the customer and shaft. Good news is these are all slower swingers under 100mph so if they are indeed gaining that distance it is quite subarashii!

Ryoma Hi COR, when
They are finally officially here and have begun shipping in small numbers. Orders will fill as they were received. Ryoma has already sold out 75% of the Special Tuning. So there are some still available. I have a gold and black here to test against the standard D-1 and Premia!

Why are the premium Japanese fairway woods so upright?
Christian is correct, that is what I said. Manufacturers have found that a more upright lie favors the slicer while the flatter lie favors one who pulls or hooks the ball. Also there are several brands that produce high trajectory models but it depends on what you consider high loft. 13*?

Shaft advice Ryoma D-1 and EPON AF-151
If you build the Ryoma at 46" stick the TJ46 in there. The TJ46 will spin lower than the stock shaft by quite a bit which will help get your ball flight down a tad and give you a more penetrating trajectory and run.
