  1. me too, I gotta TS XD435 with Diamana and a set of x-blade cb2's just itching to see some grass....

I have both, I didn't/do not find 'much' difference in distance, maybe average of about 5 yards diff. But as the shafts were different, GD ADM65 as opposed to Diamana Red 65, it is not a very valid comparison. And the lofts were different. However for me the fact that the 435 is avaialable in 10.5 deg loft where the 405 max was 9.5. This means I have a much better ball flight as I am a notorious low ball hitter. The 435 is slightly more forgiving for me as well, mis**ts going straighter..... either one is a visual beauty though!
  3. Oh boy... those sure look good! I think I prefer them to the black......
  4. I'm not sure if the TM version is strictly a 'Romabax' or a different version using Rombax technology. Anbody else know?
  5. The things the Japanese write on their products really crack me up. .... e.g. 'Athletic Spirit' 'For the discerning Golfer' 'Tour Versatile edition'.......... WTF? mind you I do like to COMO COME headcover with 'For Brave Golfers Only' on it LOL :tsg_smilie_wink:
  6. wow what a wedge fest........! The Crews wedge is lovely, prices? specs? availability? thanks

......poor? The only one that seems to be informative (OK I don't speak Japanese so can't really tell) is the Fujikura.... They at least keep it upto date, easily navigable etc. but TS? rubbish, flash nonsense.... Bridgestone itself...... who wants representations of their products, we want photos.......Zodia....... wtf, G-field/gauge not much better..... Are websites not considered a valuable marketing tool in Japan? I can't believe their golfing population are not very Web savvy? ....... or is it just me?
  8. I'm not usually a mallet kind of guy, but that looks like a souped-up Red-X, very nice!

'Every cloud has a silver lining'....... I'm glad it has worked out for you, maybe fate had a hand? I have to say though that I never really uderstood why you went to all that trouble in getting them and then having the set made up only to try to sell them..... without even trying them, you showed amazing restraint, much more than I could have LOL. I hope the good feelings last.
  10. yeahhhh that's what I want to hear! ..... Bridgestone sure know how to create a straight faced driver..... it certainly has a deeep face compared to the TM. were the 425 results recorded with the afterburners on? LOL :tsg_smiley_embarrassed: thanks for the review and pics C, most informative. I'm v. interested in the Vector Numbers....
  11. Golf is a game played between the 6 inches of your head.
  12. one word...... 'profit'.... not everybody that works at a company is concerned with the quality.
  13. No mention of it on TT's site(s) ..... is it a 'tour concept' verion of a putter shaft? ....if so it isn't on their TC micro site either.... Anbody know anything about it?
  14. The photos make it look even better..... one of the better looking fairway woods out there, and when you figure all the technological additions, it adds up to one great package. :tsg_smilie_smile:

Thanks for the clarifications...... always good to know others opinions on what may or may not be legit.... mind you there's no doubt with Chris and TSG!
  16. ooohhh your pics make them look even better! can't wait for mine to arrive! Happy New Year (certainly for me!)
  17. yep 2 daughters and a wife........ I know how you feel Shoe....... Golf= Sanctuary eh? That 435 is just soooooooo hot!
  18. I prefer the G-field name more than Gauge (apart from being easier to spell) seems classier somehow.
  19. I don't think the average US golfer does know that the US product prices reflect high mkting costs v Jpn product prices relect high R & D costs.... there are also a miriad of other factors:- coolness, locker-room bragging (I've got the just released Tm driver that everyone lusts after V I've got the latest TS driver(that nobody knows about)). Maybe still some post WW 2 anti Jpn product, still lingering. Lots of people just want to play with what their heroes use.... Laziness..... it's easy to wander down to GG and try the latest US products. Also they know that warranty issues will be dealt with more easily. Bottom line is ...... if they are that bothered they'll seek out and purchase what's best for them.
  20. Tourstage X-drive 405, but also I suspect I'm going to like the 435 :tsg_smilie_cool: oh sorry I just saw your 'not too expensive' subtitle...... think that counts the TS out!

  24. Also as part of your product investigation don't forget to ask PLUS1...... he'll have tried it already (maybe he could sell it to you at a a 'nice' price). LOL :tsg_smiley_yes:
