Well for the record IF Epon is coming out with a non conforming (470cc) driver for the slow swinger and not make a conforming one (for the slow swinger) I think it's a shame. And, it doesn't make sense. If you can't hit the face of a 460cc driver you're not going to be able to hit the face of a 470cc either. The difference of the extra 10cc isn't going to help/make a difference. IMO It will certainly be one of the few Epon drivers that I will not own/buy A niche company making an even more niche driver..... just doesn't make sense.... and you know it ain't gonna be cheap!!!

Slower swing Driver is the average player??... oh, unless you're a wrx member.... I agree that a 470cc doesn't make sense. I would (almost) bet if there is a new Driver in the works it won't be 470cc.
  3. Not sure you'd notice much difference in feel or playability with copper. Looks so much better, no glare and helps frame the ball very nicely. IF anything, I would say it does feel ever so slightly softer. (to me) I have the copper technity, X wedge and 208KGX wedges in copper. I always have them bent at the factory to my specs and when it came to the 208 they would only bend it 1* lie or loft. Was told that because of the particular grind/bounce on the wedge that moving anymore than that would change the dynamics of the sole and change the playability of it. IMO bending any wedge 4* weaker is not good. An increase of 4* bounce..... not good unless you're playing it out of some super deep sugar (soft) bunkers or it's very low bounce and want a much higher bounce. Usually 56* wedges are already higher bounce wedges. Epon wil also tell you that anything (Epon) bent past 2* will possibly crinkle the finish.
  4. Pictures just don't do them justice. It's amazing how different they look in your hand....... Congrats

Considering looks, feel, performance, and forgiveness the OnOff's would get my vote. My only objection to the VG3's is the chunkier look. If you like a thin top line they don't have it. If forgiveness is what is more important then the VG3's would rate first with the OnOff's close behind. the V-forged are a bit more the Players/better ball strikers club.

aaaaaaaaa how come all my betting money was left behind in Japan? ;) How to hit a long drive: Hurry and tee it up after Stew has just hit and have your ball sucked into the vacuum his ball has created. Good for an extra 20 yards .
  7. After having seen these "combo's" in action....... You know which one my vote went to so this Ryoma build must be incredible.

Congrats on the win!!! No matter who's putter you're using or how well it fits you, you're still the one pulling the trigger, they don't go in by themselves. Do you think the confidence level is up with a Putter you know fits you right? Soooooo.... I guess you won't be needing the Miura anymore. :)
  9. Nothing better than being happy with the new gear. IMO having the ball go straight is very under rated. Any temptation trying the 5* Egg??
  10. These irons were built by Goodsie Pur/flo'd shafts This is one very tight (good) set
  11. I don't know what was more spectacular, the golf course or Stews 300 yard bombs down the middle of the fairway. I've been fortunate to play a lot of really nice course in some amazing places but this one is my new #1 overtaking the "Challenge at Manele" located on Lanai in Hawaii. I was just amazing. When I got up to the green and didn't see the ball I figured it went long and into the bunker behind the green. The bunker was so big and deep they had steps cut into the back of it so you could get in and out. As I was peering down over the edge I hear "we have a winner" as Stew pulls the ball out from the cup. Helped ease some of the pain..... It's kind of funny in that I don't really have the memory of making eagle but of the magnificent golf course and the beauty of it all. What an experience I'll not soon forget.
  12. Does your club builder have any 302's to demo, or that matter some AFTours? If you're hitting the ball all over the club face he might be right about the 502's... if you're striking the ball consistently in the sweet spot I don't see why you couldn't hit the Personals. I'd see if you could demo a club if he has one... you just might surprise yourself. :)

I've always thought of Golf as two different games.. there's Golf and there's Putting. IMO what separates the Pro golfer and the rest of us is Putting. Rife could be a "top" brand if they would make a Putter that was just a bit more on the quality side. I've gamed a barbados (still have 2 of them) and just don't think they're made as well or use the quality of materials that would set them above or even equal to the rest. Putting... I think most of us are in the same boat as you nifty
  14. Wish I'd have snapped a picture of the look on your face when you saw how much longer it was (than you thought) when you set it up next to the Kamui.
  15. My thoughts are... Epon is trying to make a blade (or has) that is more forgiving than the traditional blade. Even tho a limited edition it allows more people to play a blade that otherwise might not. Hitting these perfect is not required to still have decent results and good feel.
  16. I won't swear that was my first JDM iron set.. although I believe it was but that is the exact set, set-up that hooked me into JDM the rest is history
  17. Got mine.... now you just need the matching head cover.
  18. I can't comment on the Tmag but the egg spoon with that shaft will be at least 10 yards longer, much more forgiving and easier to hit IMO. Probably the best of the best. Send it my way if you don't get along with it.
  19. Works for me... idrive-crazy :)
  20. C, did you do the heel and toe on the face of the clubs? My hands, fingers are aching looking at those as I have done a few sets myself. I'll def be giving this a try starting with the 3 iron when I get back home in Aug., only diff is I'll be using a dremel. have found the perfect attachment BTW they look fantastic
  21. I do not know.... but, having said that I think there will be: New FW's and Irons that are GI or SGI We've seen the new blades... (personals) new driver (zero), putter (zen),,,, we're told no new 302 or 502's... what's left??
  22. +1 on the Yururi Tours Shape, color, performance.... = Yururi tours
  23. I'd simply name it Tourspec I do agree that the name is really not a good fit..... Like the looks tho
