  1. Looks like you might need to throw the Zero into the mix. Remember Epon does do some customization.

Looking at the chart it looks pretty much like a low handi / pro model. Remember that's a real 10.5* ..... Alot of 9.5* drivers have more actual loft.... at least my buddies new 9.5 rbz... just had checked... it's 11.2* with all the low launch, low spin shafts out I don't think 10.5 is too bad. Something tells me the hard hitting, good ball strikers have something to get excited about.
  3. Just confirming everything... I don't think it's possible to balloon the ball with this shaft, in any head. With the Ryoma it's a low-mid piercing shot that rolls. Wind doesn't get it, unlike any other driver combo's I've ever played. If you play in the wind.....

If I had the SS for that shaft I'd be playing it. Someone is going to be very happy when they get this puppy.
  5. At 180yds this is what I use. Haven't really found a lie I can't hit it from with this club. I think the confidence to do so makes a difference as well.

Gotta say.... I'd be pretty disappointed with discolorization...... especially if it was on all of them. I thought the torch was more of a last resort rather than standard procedure.
  7. You could plate the AFT's with cement and they'd still feel better than most. One of the most pure feeling Irons on the Planet.
  8. 12 handicap is considered a "better player" You can play whatever you want. Now decide if you want forgiveness/ease of use, or 3 iron like. What suits your eye??
  9. Here's wishing everyone a fantastic 2012

IMO, If you are a very good ball striker, or at least working hard at it, buy the Tours. If a bit of forgivieness would come in handy on occasion, buy the 302's. A mid capper to a scratch player can play the 302's. A mid capper would struggle a bit with the Tours.
  11. I think they are going to model it after the Oregon Ducks new Football helmet.....
  12. Can't argue against the RC's as they are as good as it gets. I also think they are for the better player in general. I'm surprised PRGR doesn't get more love. If you are the average mid-high handicapper the PRGR Utes and FW's are some of the easiest to hit.

This probably won't help you but.... I just turn my hearing aids down. I hate adding anything to a head besides lead tape. The sound will be muted...... as the performance dwarfs it.
  14. In my First Ryoma Premia I installed a TJ46. Monster My friend hit it. It's still in his bag. He won't give it back.
  15. Good Luck with your competition. Don't be afraid to swing it..... hit it warming up as the adjustment will be the longer length, not the shaft.

I haven't played a club with that kind of SW. When you pick it up, address the ball etc. can you feel much difference? Can you tell it;s no D1 SW? You know it's heavier?
  17. I've been warned by the club builder, Goodsie Snap potential is high, examples: Taking the clubs in and out of the trunk, don't snag the driver.... don't let the clubs tip over... don't snag the door or door frame walking thru the door. TEE BOX - don't lean on them.... don't bang them on ground.... used to be guilty of both of these. not anymore. Super thin walls on these. Warranty is for manufacturer defects only.
  18. Hoping T will chime in...... but Heads only - no different finishes - yes just a couple of irons??? not sure - not sure why not

Played my AF152 w/Crazy LY-02 yesterday. Completely different feel, sound, everything compared to the Ryoma. Not nearly as muted. Louder, not loud but any sound is louder than the Ryoma. Felt really soft to me. I'd forgotten how nice a combo this is.
  20. Might as well get the PW while your at it...... :)

do you know the specs of the head? thanks
  22. Played my second round with them today. I started with the attitude that I'm not going to like them. They spin very well... could maybe pass off as non conforming... I could feel the entire face of the club on contact... it was different, not in a bad way. Very solid, I could draw a visual of the club face and where and how the ball was being hit on it from the feel..... I'm all about feel. Need more time as well but I like 'em to this point.. 7iron shoot out tomorrow....
  23. Thanks, would ship to US 84765

If you're going to talk softest...... Epon Technity My #1 - I wish I'd never sold club The Technity 460 Anniversary edition - Deep Blue..... Anyone have one laying around??

I think a lot has to do with the right shaft for the head. But I haven't hit too many Epon Drivers that were anything but harsh. Very soft feel. Kamui feels soft and solid. Put an i'lima in it and it is real soft feeling. Most of the PRGR and ONOFF has a soft feel..... They're out there. :)
