  1. The forgiveness between the IC and the egg are night and day. The egg is much easier to hit, from any lie.
  2. It seems the VG3's will fit the bill best.... for what you're asking for.
  3. I'm Teeing slightly higher than you are. I have more control with the higher Tee. I have found max distance to be located in the upper toe section of the sweet spot.
  4. R U after conforming or non conforming or just whatever spins the most?? A few years back the Gold's Factory wedges were available in different models.... the stage 5 was his "hand made" and spun way more than the "regular" wedges. At $400 a pop they didn't disappoint. Chipping indoors in the house the club still marks up the ball.....I can flop it over the couch and have it stop before it hits the window.... none of the other wedges will do that..... As JMCMB said, the Master could make anything you want..... spin away!!!! Chikira's spin as much as any wedge.... at least the proto's i have do. My son's Kenmochi spins way more than the Spin milled it replaced..... a lot more...
  5. My hand made Stage 5 Gold's Factory spins the most. You have to be careful running you hand along the face of the club.... if you press to hard it will will shave the skin off.. very sharp.... The Yamaha Wedges I just sold are amongst the most spin of any wedge and made of S15C, they are non conforming. Conforming: The new SDJ's are amazing.
  6. 58* DP2010 PROTO Shaft doesn't matter Thanks
  7. For me, raw spin, Gold's Factory Need stock in the Golf ball you play as they ruin a ball with anything close to a full shot.

You can make the ball do what ever you want it to do with these wedges. Great wedges I'm going to have my set buried with me.

Sorry to hear. I'd check the pawn shops, we'll be watching ebay..... Just as sad to say I don't trust anyone with my gear. Never out of sight unless locked in the trunk.
  10. I wonder what they'll crank the COR up to. 86-87 hardly worth it IMO. The average player (90mph ss) will see an increase of not more than 5 about yards. The guy that swings 120mph wouldn't be able to control it... It should be geared toward the recreational golfer. The high capers will get more benefit from it. Hope they do something in the 90+ range... that would be fun!!!

I don't hit off of mats anymore. I don't know what took the worst beating, me or the clubs!!!! starting to ache thinking about it. Hitting off of hard mats would certainly contribute to shaft failure

For me, if I ever give up my steel iron and wedge shafts it will be for my joints. I have a set of irons with graphite shafts that I use just to hit balls at the range with. It does make a difference on the body at the end of the day. Back on topic..... I didn't get along with steel in the utes. Graphite (for me) works better in every way. Especially like the feel of graph over steel Can't wait to hit the DI ute shaft here soon Detailed review soon!!!

I originally had the quattrotechs in my Epon technity woods. I pulled them (5 and 9 woods) and installed them in the 5,9 egg fw's I don't think I can count as high as the # of balls I've hit with each. Never had an issue with breaking..... stopped slamming my club an the ground a long time a go... as per goodsie;s heads up I'm really careful putting them in the trunk, taking them out, letting them snag on anything... "They are tools not jewels" not in my bag!!! treated as jewels :) Sorry.. I just had to say that
  14. The GD Quattro Tech gets my vote. (quattrotech) FWIW... move it back in your stance slightly....

Old school look at address... still the best looking. I had a hard time adjusting to some of the different shapes of the new drivers. the Kamui looks as good or better than any of them at address. You know you're going to put the hurt on the ball when you're setting up...
  16. I swear there was a set on ebay very recently. Having had a set of 502's.. those are not even good fakes. Never more true than with golf clubs... if it seems to good to be true... it most certainly is just that. I really don't like counterfeiters. Such a feeling of being violated.... I've been turned into ebay so many times for PMing people telling them to pull their counterfeits and not just golf clubs.
  17. That's kinda funny because that's what I say about your stuff. I'd be all over half of it if I could swing as hard as I could 30 yrs a go!!!!! The 420 is probably the overall most SOLID head I've ever hit. You hit it and kinda grit your teeth after because you feel like you killed it..... EM-S Sold
  18. Well... have some really good drivers that want to go out and play. All of them worthy of top spot in someones bag. Kamui 10* 420cc - Sq face - non conforming. w/'ilima 60x5ct Stiff flex 45" D3 Black Iomic Excellent Driver - Solid - Had this custom made IMO. would work best with a 95-100mph swing. Med ball flight - LONG $450 Shipped US Kamui 11* 400cc - 1* closed - non conforming. w/fubuki 63x5ct stiff flex 45" D1 Blk/Wht Golf Pride Multi/compound Very solid, looks great looking down at the perfect size and shape a driver should be. IMO, would work best for the more aggressive swinger at around 100mph. Don't let the 11* fool you. No high launch here. You can work this driver with ease. $400 Shipped US Outside US send me your shippy addy for a Shipping cost. Any questions - please ask

Not sure why but I passed on the Crazy Ut shaft in favor of a Tour AD DI.... I've had nothing but success with the Crazy shafts in Drivers and FW woods....... dang it Won't know for a couple of weeks if I make the right choice..... but now... seems a Crazy ut shaft might be in my future.
  20. I've had the GD Quattro's in my 5 and 9 FW's for a while now. So stable and predictable. I like the higher ball flight with the QT"s. I'm able to stop a ball on the green with this shaft. Of course.... I'm trying the DI shafts in my Akira's Goodsie is putting together right now. I know if they don't work well the QT's will and will change them out quickly. Hoping the ball flight is just a little and not a lot lower with the DI's Still about 2 weeks for the review. I've also found the Diamana's make good FW shafts as well. The Kai'li in particular.

I love(d) my EM-S. Many a driver tried to knock it out of the bag. The Ryoma was the only one able to do so. Tight course, the Ryoma. AF152 everywhere else. The 152 has an almost perfect set up at address.

My playing partner who swears by his Callaway driver hit the Ryoma while we were playing a couple of days a go. He called me begging to play it in a tournament tomorrow. It is so superior to his Cally it's kind of sad.... He said... what I have already said, it may not be the absolute distance champion on flushed shots, But, when you miss the sweet spot it almost doesn't matter. He says there's a difference of at least 30 yards in distance compared to his Cally driver and the ball lands in the fairway, not the rough. I'm going to have to sneak in to his house and arm rob the guy to get it back.... So, the 152 has had it's chance the last couple of days... been waiting to play it by its self instead of side by side. It is longer than the Ryoma. i was consistently 10 yards past my normal landing areas. Almost 20 on a par 5 that I was able to reach in 2 with an iron. I've played that hole a 100 times and never hit an iron on my second shot. Moderately forgiving. Not as forgiving as the Ryoma but it is geared toward the better player looking to work the ball if needed. For the better player that does not need added forgiveness this driver is an absolute dream to hit. Shaft is a Crazy LY-02 Noir. playing at 45" Low to med. trajectory that just keeps going and going and...... then hits the ground and rolls and rolls and..... I can work this driver easily. If you're playing the Ryoma you know it isn't easy to work, it just goes straight (good thing) Feel is excellent, sound just a hair tinny but still very acceptable. I was kinda hoping I wouldn't get the results I did. Going to make it really hard to decide which one to play.... if I ever get the Ryoma back. This combo is the longest I have had the pleasure to play. Probably one of the lowest launching combos I've hit as well. I have not had much luck with the lower launchers but this one is different. The ball just doesn't come down... the wind has almost no effect on it. If you are a fan of the Epon Drivers you will love this one. Can't wait to hit this again tomorrow.
  23. Would be surprised if the 2012 release will be any different (tour model) than WITB now.(Fujita) I know it's impossible to tell from the pics but the soles look very wide for a tour model. will be very interested to see in hand, side by side comparisons of the 11's and the new (12's) release. Really curious why he would be sporting Tity wedges instead of Yamaha... Never got the feel with the Yams that I do with the Epons. What shaft are guys playing in them??
  24. I've had my finger on the button a couple of times.... is this what you're looking for. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230499010882&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT I've been looking at Oakley club covers for a while..... I'm headed the same route as you....
  25. #1 Driver that would work best is the Ryoma with the right shaft. It is the most forgiving most consistent driver on the planet. the EMS would be a great second choice. I love mine and has been very good to me. Sadly it now sits at home in the bag.... I have the new Epon 152 competing with the Ryoma and for the higher handicap it's no contest, Ryoma. Single digit capper will love the 152 Re read Duffers replay as he is right on. I would add that, IMO, the PRGR red FW's would be a good choice as well.
