T, Other way around?? Tours weaker, 302's stronger...

I hated this thing................... initially. I thought I was swinging a little faster than what this thing was reading. But like has been said, after making a few adjustments (to my swing) I was able to bring it up almost 8 mph. Was swinging a little harder than I wanted to but still the way I should be. I'm glad I picked one up. Paid for itself in 10 minutes. Going to have a lot of fun with it. 2 thumbs up

I was told there is nothing in the near future that will replace the AFTours. Not sure about the 302's.... You would have one of the most desirable sets on the planet with the combo set of tours and 302's.
  4. The DP2010's are very very durable. I have the 2010 proto's and for me they are by far the best wedges I've ever hit or owned. The new conforming wedges are again the best conforming groove wedges I've hit. Except for the original "by carl" chikara's they are the wedges I play when it's game on. People that don't play Sky Dream Jump wedges have never tried them..... Will be interested in your review.
  5. Still not sure. I think I'm going DI-6 I love em in the 18 and 21* FW's Not in stone, figure I have about 2 more weeks before a decision has to be made. I'm open to suggestions
  6. I pre-ordered. a 3 wood. We were sent an update a couple of weeks ago that they were delayed a couple 3 weeks. Don't think anyone has one yet to give a review.

You're going to love hitting the Crazy. The shaft works but half of the fun is the feel. If you think you might want to try the super lightweight shaft the Royal Decoration is amazing. Edit: What are you going to mate it with?

It looks like a 3 iron in the bag. :) Is that part of the windy thing??? Looks like Crazy's in the Woods, what are the irons shafted with?

    Head only? Shafted?? Preferences??
  10. I'm killing this combo. I have never been so consistently long and straight

Have a couple of PRGR FW's with the PT-7 shafts. S flex I think they're as good as just about anything. I don't think they made a very good Driver shaft but excellent FW shafts. IMO they do not play stiff to flex, perhaps a bit soft. If it's that hard to launch I'd bet it has been tipped.
  12. I think it's the combo..... lighter shaft.... shaft I choked down a couple of times to see if it made much diff... not really. but hitting the full 46.5" with a good full swing is a mid. penetrating ball flight with the ball landing in the fairway. There is no way you will balloon the ball with this combo. Sound is a nice solid thud. Very muted
  13. Finally got to play on a course I am familiar with today. All of the other rounds have been on courses I didn't know or know very well. Everything is landing in the fairway. I am simply hitting this combo longer and more consistently than anything I've tried. I find myself (after an initial 15-20 balls) having know problem with the length..... I kinda like it....
  14. What shaft is everybody going to use?? I'm thinking Crazy CBI Evolution The body is ready for graphite if the dispersion is as good as steel. A little extra kick would be nice too.
  15. I'm just finishing my honeymoon with this same setup. My Vspec is 9.5* loft SW came out D2 @ 46.5" Has as Iomic sticky on it. I've never played a Driver over 45" before. I'm not sure why. probably the length. but the club intimidated me for the first few swings. Never been afraid of a club before. Took me about 15-20 balls to get the feel and the timing at the range. After that it has been 4 rounds of Golf. I'm officially on the band wagon. Between the longer shaft, lighter weight, and royal deco I'm seeing gains of 10-15 yards. Amazing smooth kick you can feel. I've also put some bad swings on it that seem to just keep ending up in the fairway. Ryoma / Royal Decoration What a combo I'm swinging easier, smoother, and the ball is going farther.
  16. Looking more and more like my 302's.... :) :)

When I got my set I didn't like the look of the Technity Type J badge in the cavity. I found it just peeled right off with a little work. Underneath it should say PRO 1 Looks waaaaaayy better without the rebadgeing sticker stuck on. You'll see what I mean when you get them. Sweet irons, I'd never let mine go. Besides, I'd have an empty Epon bag if I did.
  18. I'm inviting myself right now....
  19. This afternoon would have been the time for it.... I played the tips with my boys.... not as easy to score when you're hitting your 200 yard shot into the green after hitting a 250-60 yard drive. I did order the 3 wood though.... :)
  20. The guys (group) I play with on a regular basis already give me sh*t about my clubs (Driver(s)).... if I showed up with a "hot" driver I would be in trouble especially when I'm already the longest most consistent driver of the group. No brag just fact. Keep in mind at 55yrs old I am the second to youngest out of about 40 guys. I have been very quick to point out as of late that I am the only one playing both conforming irons and wedges.
  21. Nice vacation bag. The Miura PE's are as solid as they come. Nothing fancy, they just perform. Have fun

Have you had a chance to Putt with it yet?? I'm been experimenting with face bal. putters but have yet to find one that I like to look down at. R U putting SBST?
  23. Excellent 3 wood. Good possibility it is the 3 wood I'd play or at least give a run with IF it was a bit less upright.... or carrying one. I guess there's a few courses out there that you need one. I been hitting the 18* far enough and more accurately to get away not carry the 3 The rescue has really filled in the 180yd shot nicely. A big part of what makes the Akira's work for me is the flatter lie. For example the Epon 3 wood is 3* more upright than the Akira. Makes a big difference when you're not wearing just the heel out on the FW;s..... I'm always bugging Tario to try and get diff. manufactures to bend their FW's a couple * for me....
  24. Welllllllll......... I took the plunge for the 18 and 21*. Don't have a 3 wood in the bag at the moment.... I find I don't hit it very often. They have officially knocked the Eggs out of the bag. It wasn't easy. I also tried the rescue in 24', why I don't know as I've never met a rescue that stayed in the bag more than 5 minutes. The Akira rescue has landed a spot in the bag and knocked out the 3 wood. I kept the 3 wood in the bag a couple of rounds with the rescue and hit the 3 wood 3 times, the rescue 11. Having said that I'm about to flip a coin and see if we should pick up the Akira 3 wood or the Ryoma 3 wood...... I really believed I would never find a FW I hit as well or better as the eggs. The Akira's have done it. Bob, When are you going to try/buy the Driver??
