  1. My Gamer for 4 years now. I play a lot. Finish is holding up well. I can't believe it's still in the bag with no desire to change it.
  2. I am a huge fan and believer in the pzmilling. I really believe it helps get the ball rolling better. Not sure what finish options you have. I have become a dark, non reflective finish guy for the Putter. Nothing worse than a bright reflection from the Putter. My gamer is the teflon black. The Master would have no problem dialing a desired finish weight.
  3. All you have to do is read my sig: This thread will help http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/topic/30414-best-forged-irons-poll/ There are at least 4-5 different Players CB'S that I would be happy with. Yama's Tourstage Yuyuri Royal Collection.... Shaft.... lots of variables, how are the KBS working now?
  4. Generally speaking.... Basic rule of thumb, 33" = 350 g head 35" = 330g head Playing the club longer will more than offset any weight reduction. Me, I like the heavier Putter weight. What I could come up with to have done to that Putter..... :) IMO the best finish is the dark (smoke) chrome.
  5. gotta be a way to get a shaft of those mentioned to demo......
  6. IF you're going to play them a lot, you might like Copper, it wears very well, much better than the black. As a trophy set I'd get black.
  7. Will probably be the best looking and playing irons on the Planet.
  8. We're here for you guys!!! Anything!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Hang on T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd bet the same... check the bst out on some of the other forums.... My thoughts.... JDM is purchased by the buyer who has more spendable income than the average golfer. .... So, we tend to buy more clubs.... every year... = more clubs to sell...

great review. Has me thinking.... Thanks Any idea when these will be available to the rest of us?
  12. FWIW I have been having my playing partners (about 20 so far) hit the Ryoma/Quadra Driver setup. they hit the Ryoma after they hit their t shot IF they have hit a good drive. EVERYONE without exception hits the Ryoma farther and straighter. EVERYONE. This is the first driver that has yet to have a negative in any way from anyone that has hit it and some of the guys I play with are very skeptical... tough crowd. Is it the longest driver?? Maybe, maybe not but it is the most forgiving, best overall driver for the recreational golfer out there that I've come across. Matched with the right shaft for your swing and you will be a better golfer. I don't usually say that about a golf club. Bad swing, bad results... the ryoma makes the bad swings end up longer, straighter. My buddy who gives me a bad time about my J-spec eq. called me yesterday to see if he could use the driver for his tournament today... that's almost like changing lead into gold. doesn't happen. I told him no.... didn't want him to have an unfair advantage... Anyone else getting these same results?? would like to hear from everyone else that's hitting/testing this driver. It may not make my bag but I think I can rent it out and end up coming out ahead.... If you don't hit the sweet spot every time, want more distance on mis**ts... this is your driver. Feels and sounds good too.

The launch angle for both is very similar, I'd call it mid, almost mid high when I went after it. I don't have any problem getting the ball air born with this set up. I don't. I was surprised at the stopping power of the TS ball. It has actually spun too much a couple of times. Just don't expect it... getting used to it in a real hurry. :) When I'm done with 18 the ball still looks new.

The Ryoma is the bottom pic. Order specs for the Ryoma were/are Head Only 198 G Square 9.5* More testing today.... Unless you hit the sweet spot every time/consistently, the Ryoma is going to be the better performer. It just doesn't matter where you hit it on the face it just goes and goes. Rather than change the shaft on the EMS I think I'm going to shaft the Ryoma with a Crazy to get a more accurate test. I just can't see messing up a combo (ems/crazy) that just plain works for me. The new tourstage (solid) ball is the best ball I've played yet. Long, spins like mad around the green and very durable in comparison to other premium balls.
  15. 302's they are everything you're looking for. no better iron

For Me - My Swing I'm hitting the ball very well right now. I'm within the sweet spot most every time. Feel Both are excellent, mis**ts don't really feel like mis**ts w/the Ryoma over the ems Dispersion tough one here. both fantastic. Both amazing. Very easy to dial either one up. Absolute fairway finders I have NEVER hit fairways the way I'm hitting them right now with the ems/crazy setup. To this point the ryoma is every bit as good perhaps slightly better at going straight down the fairway. Distance Well... when it comes down to raw distance... The EMS/Crazy is longer for me. No less than 5, as many as 10yds. consistently Off center hits, outside the sweet spot the ryoma did shine and produce better results. Doesn't seem to matter how bad you hit it, it still produces a decent shot. The ems is very generous with off center hits, the Ryoma is better. Sound Both sound great. No tinks. The Ryoma is the more muted of the two. overall workability Both meant to hit hard and go straight. Doesn't mean you can't work the ball, just means you have to no how. Looks I've grown to like the looks of most everything, (I own the eggs) so no problems here. The Ryoma has a much cleaner look at address than it seems it might at first look. Both of these Driver combo's are (in my book) AMAZING I hit every fairway today but one and it was still deep, just off. Still very playable. that includes the 12 extra drives i hit comparing both drivers. I have witnesses. :) I'm thinking about switching the shafts.... should I even bother? More testing will continue... but right now the EMS/Crazy is STILL "In the Bag"
  17. What * was it? I know... I probably missed it..

Both at 45" L - D1 Ever had a day when you can't put the same swing down... at all. today was my day. I just sucked... I think I hurt myself.... One thing I can say is both are forgiving drivers. They had too have been.... The shafts do play differently.. the crazy was dialed.... Driving range today and just a terrible one for consistent golf balls, roll out, my lousy swing. On course testing the next 2 days. Much more to come

Defending champion, my current gamer, EMS/Crazy LY-01 vs: Ryoma Premia/Quadra - Fire Express Nothing has been able to take the EMS/Crazy out of the bag. Recent challengers include: Kamui/i'lima Kamui/fubuki Adams Classic/Voodoo proto TS 901/GD md6 PRGR GN/M43 TM Burner/? and many other stock offerings from both US and JDM. Have on course test in 80* humid Hawaii... todays test is cold (45*) dry, St George Ut. I believe I have already determined the winner.... but want to test in all conditions before declaring so. Comparing: Feel Dispersion Distance Sound overall consistency overall workability Looks Care to take a guess which setup you think is going to win????
  20. not sure of the thread size... i have a couple of replacement packs if anyone is looking. the newer models use a regular twist lock, no screws

This might seem strange to some, but..... Knowing that I have the finest clubs to play.. that were made to my specs, perhaps designed by me, built buy the finest craftsman anywhere... makes me play better. I have a set of the Gold's cavity backs.... what a great set of irons. I have never had a Putter I would never let go of until I got my GF Putter. I don't see it ever leaving the bag... except when it goes back to the master to be refurbed. Also like having clubs nobody else has. It doesn't matter what you customize, from cars to golf clubs it costs more money. The extra money spent is money well spent to me. Done rambling.... for now :)
  22. IMHO, Quadra has eliminated the middleman... they manufacture the carbon sheets so don't have to pay a marked up price for the CF sheets. Also, advertising costs plenty... I don't see quadra and crazy advertising like Fuji, matrix and the others do. Newer companies will sometimes keep a lower price point to get their foot in the door, after much success and the demand goes up I think you'll see the price points creep up more in line with the others. get them while they're cheap!!!

Should have my hands on the Premia w/Quadra by the end of the week. Goodsie is tuning it up right now. Full report in 2 weeks. I love my current combo. I consider it unbeatable (for me)
  24. After 6 months of hitting just about everything out there during the wandering... Nothing can take the eggs out of the bag, and I have the old ones. I don't know how they could have improved them. I have a friend I have to hide the spoon from, I swear he'd try and make off with it.
  25. Geee... thanks everyone. Good to be back after having a trip of a lifetime. :) Wasn't planned, just happened. After 6 months of hitting all kind of clubs from around the world, nobody had anything that could kick out any of the clubs in my bag. Anyway, good to be back and sorry about the PM's and such I didn't/haven't replied to. Will be back in the swing here soon. New Crazy coming soon..... and... :)
