  1. Thanks, can anyone else confirm this?
  2. I've had these for about a month now and used them in a couple rounds as well as at the range a handful of times. They are extremely nice looking, even more so in person. I love the setup at address. Compact but not intimidating. Right now they are shafted with Modus 3 - 120 - stiff. These are standard length which is too short for me. The grips are also standard and are way too small for me. However, with that being said, these may very well be the best performing iron I've ever hit. No, they're not the most forgiving, no they're not the softest on off-center hits but in terms of the best all around iron (accuracy, ability to work the ball, etc) these may very well be the best. I absolutely love them. The 302s are softer and more forgiving but I don't find them as accurate and you can't work the ball as easily. These Tourstage irons are like a perfect blade with less intimidation and more forgiveness. I know Tatsuro said they are harsh on off-center hits. I don't totally agree. I find they give you wonderful feedback but harsh might be, well... harsh. Pure'd shots have a wonderful fee - think combination of Epon and Miura. Soft yet strong. Off-center hits are firm but not harsh. Honestly, these are the most "point and shoot" irons I've ever played. I think the modus 120's are a fantastic shaft to go with them, too. For anyone on the fence with these, don't hesitate to pull the trigger. I'm a 10HC and a mediocre ball striker (thin) yet these aren't challenging to play with. Now, since these modus 3 120s are too short for me and I'm not interested in plugs and I already have Modus 3 120s in TX in my Onoff forged irons, I'm not interested in using them in these irons. I'm considering the following: Shimada Tours Fujikura MCI Steel Fibres i125 I've never tried any of those shafts so advice would be great! Help me out. Thanks.

Ya, this would be GREAT to have nailed down. I wouldn't have to send every new head and shaft I get, away, to get FLO'd/Spined/Tuned/etc.
  4. Ok so the CB 50 is still a better control shaft than the CB Tour? Both low/mid launch, low spin, right?
  5. No, not necessarily. I do like the 50t and above shafts though. I think there is something to them.
  6. The top three shafts I've ever used (that I can remember) are the Diamana X, GD P9003X and Crazy CB 50. I don't know which of these is low spin/low launch but these are the ones I've narrowed it down to: Crazy Black Tour 75 - XX - 76g/4.4* - not sure why it's only 46T considering it's their newest, premiere shaft... Crazy Black CB 50 - 72g/2.9* (their ultimate control shaft - mid launch). GD Z9003 - - 78g - 2.8*. Not high modulus carbon. Not sure if it's a low launch, low spin or what Quadra Fire Express MAX WBQ 75 - 80g/2.6*. Not sure about the metal tip and kind of heavy... CURIOUS ABOUT THESE: Basileus Pro Spec Z - 79.5g/2.7*. Haven't heard anything though... Fujikura - What's the story on the BangVoo 787, the Platinum, the Type X and the VT series of shafts made from space age material type s**t. Nippon Pro Regio Formula shaft - haven't heard a word... Diamana B - 77g/2.9*. Again, made from space aged s**t... No clue about it. What do you guys think?

  8. Thanks! You're not big on Baselius shaft right? I'm thinking I might just put a CB Black 50 8.7 in there. 70g, 2.8* and Crazy's most accurate shaft, apparently... These PNOEZ shafts... meh... if they were that good would TSG carry them?
  9. Hmmm, never heard of them, thanks for the tip! Chris, Tario, know much about them?
  10. WBQ is 80g. I'd like to stay closer to 70g.
  11. Thanks Chris! Which of these will launch and spin lowest? Since the Maxima is such an accurate driver and so long, I was hoping to put a fairly light shaft in it, to make it the ultimate accurate bomber. Something 70-75g. Of the 70-75g shafts, which is the lowest spinning and lowest launching?
  12. I could but that makes things even more confusing! Haha.
  13. Good to know. I ordered the Maxima! Still not sure about shafts but I did read your post regarding the Bangvoo. Thanks for the insight!
  14. I'm looking for the lightest, but lowest spin and launch shaft there is. Torque is a tough thing to determine because you never know what how each company measures it and there are plenty of exaggerations. Obviously I still want something with low torque, though. Strange the new Crazy Tour is such high torque. If possible I'd also like to stick with high modulus carbon fibre. That's why this is tough! This what I was up to last night... like a true sicko! 17. Thanks! Ya I used to have a P9003X in some head, I forget now. It was heavy but wonderful. Straight, piercing, great feel, long. I'm thinking I may try this or the Crazy Boron or the Crazy Black 50. Thanks for the feedback man! MUCH appreciated. Good to know!
  18. Say I went with the V, 190g. If I went with the middle weight kit and added 10 grams to get it to 200g, won't that change the launch/spin characteristics slightly? More weight at the back of a head launches higher and spins more, I believe...
  19. Great writeup! Thanks.
  20. I'm just about to sell my Yamada. Great putter but I have too many.
  21. I'm leaning towards the LS or TJ or Black Tour. Gocchin told me the 4U, the Regio, BangVoo and Fujikura X aren't strong enough for me. I'm also considering the Z9003 but Gocchin said it's a successor to both the 9003x and the P9003x, not just a successor to the P9003x so it's more of a combo. I'd probably be better off to just get a P9003X. Other options are the Diamana B, Quadra MAX WBQ (I had the previous version and I felt it always launched high...), the Matrix 7M3 which I have now in XX (seems whippy still) or the Myizaki Kena (don't know much about it...) and the Fujikura Fuel (supposedly excellent and ugly!) I really don't know which way to go here. For such a top of the line head, it'd be nice to put in an exotic shaft although sometimes I think the Fujikura Fuels of the world suite my swing more....
  22. Jimmieboi, what's your swing speed? So is the lowest spinning and launching Crazy shaft the TJ80, the new Black Tour by Labomba or the LSII? Is the Z9003 the successor to the 9003X or the P9003x. There's a big difference between the two. No one's tried the NS Pro Regio or ATTUS 4U? Anyone else care to chime in on any of this I'd appreciate it (Chris, Gocchin). Thanks.
  23. Looking for lowest possible spin and launch.
  24. For the me, ultra hard, aggressive swinger, Z9003 or P9003X? What do you recommend?
  25. Come on, someone's gotta know..
