Really need your help - which shaft for the Maxima Type V?
Decided I'm going with the Maxima Type V and I need to shaft it with something top of the line, to do it justice. I'm looking for the lowest possible spin and lowest launch. My misses are usually snap hooks and push slices (brutal combo, I know). Here are the shafts I'm considering: GD P9003X (legend) GD Z9003 (haven't heard much...) Crazy Black Tour by LaBomba (oddly high torque) Crazy Black TJ 80 Crazy Black 50 Rombax Type X Motore Speeder VC.2 BangVoo 787 NS Pro Regio Type 75 (haven't heard much about this shaft...) Diamana 3rd Gen B Series UST ATTAS 4U Quadra Fire Express MAX WBQ Or something else I'm missing... I'm not up to date with shafts so I really need your help here. Thanks guys! I appreciate it!

Let's compare TourStage 709 Drivers!
I haven't tried the 388. I like the size but it's only 9.5. Too much loft for me. I think I'm going to go Maxima V 8.5 and Tourstage 430. The adapters though... can I get one so I can put my Diamana X in it?

new graphite design TOUR AD Z9003 shaft
What's the deal with this shaft? Compares to the 9003x or more of the P9003x? Anyone??? Is this Graphite Design's lowest spin and launch shaft or is it still the P9003x?

Blemish in my bag. Need to eradicate the blemish, with your help!
I have it. Best shaft I've ever used. Better even than the P9003X. What about these new Crazy Black by Labomba shaft? High torque and only 40T carbon but supposedly for aggressive swings...

Let's compare TourStage 709 Drivers!
How fast does Tatsuro swing? I'm debating between getting the 709 - 430 model or the 909 model, or something else like the Kamui Pro or Maxima Type V. Or maybe a combo of two... Thoughts?

Thanks guys. I'm thinking either the Kamui or Tourstage and then the Maxima. What about shafts? Haven't heard much about shafts recently...

Blemish in my bag. Need to eradicate the blemish, with your help!
So I've always had an all J-spec bag but something came across me recently, something diabolical, something crazy... and I purchased the Callaway Razr-Fit and Nike Covert Tour drivers. I think they're both great. However, they're both not japanese (double negative) and I'm starting to feel withdraw by not feeding my sickness. So ya, my bag looks and plays fantastic except for those two zits sitting in there. Therefore I ask... who can recommend me a new Jspec driver and shaft? As per usual, I need lowest possible spin, with low launch, neutral face, 8.5* loft. I don't mind less than 460CCs but obviously more forgiveness is nice to have. Distance is also nice to have. Feel is nice to have. Adjustability I like. I have the Egg-7 and it's great except that the face is slightly closed (I wasn't aware of this when I ordered it and I hit hooks with it) and the feel is meh Right now I'm thinking one of these. 2013 Tourstage drivers, Ryoma Maxima Type V The new The new Kamui Pro KP-X Kamui Aero As for shafts, I have no idea. I have a Diamana X and it's bloody fantastic. It's not going anywhere. Is there any other new shaft from anyone I should consider? Super low spin and launch. Please help me out guys, if you can. Much appreciated!! Rob.

New Driver Shafts? Where are they?
What's the best shaft to suit me right now? I'm currently playing the Diamana X in a Callaway Razr FIT and it's not going anywhere. However, is there any new "breakthrough" shaft for the very fast, aggressive swinger out there I should know about? Thanks.

New Ryoma Maxima Type V review....
So between this new Maxima, the 388, the XV and a new Tourstage model, which should I go with? Also, do any of them come in 8.5?

S-Yard XV vs T.388 vs XT - Official Comparison Thread!
I have a question. Why does the very shallow faced 388 launch lower and and spin lower than both deeper faced drivers (XV and the other one)?

I played Pelican Hill this past weekend and had a chance to hit the 709MC's at the range after the round. I'll share my comments tomorrow.

Tourstage 709mc/CB comparisons?
Bought the demo set of 709MBs. Got them yesterday. First of all guys, don't hesitate to buy a demo set from Chris and company. Only two irons have been hit and both with only a few little normal nicks on the face. All the other clubs are brand new, still in plastic. Hell of a deal. To the irons now, I haven't hit a ball with them other than into the end of my bed and comforter but I don't know what this harsh feel talk is all about? These feel bloody amazing! I love the size of them too. Honestly, these may be the most perfect irons (looks, feel, size, setup) I've ever seen. I'll share my range and round thoughts after they happen.

what would you change if designing the af303?
Try the face milling like on the 2013 on off and yamaha models. More versatile grind? Less offset.

For Sale - EGG 7, Spinners & Matrix Program 130s!
Free Shipping on all purchases in North America. 100% ebayer buyer feedback! Everything is in MINT condition as I baby the hell out of my gear. JAPAN ONLY PRGR EGG 7 - $599 7* loft but don't be scared, it's honestly quite easy to hit. It's VERY low spin, low launch but surprisingly forgiving. This is a very beautiful and impressive performing driver. I only used it in two rounds. There are some white tee marks on the sole but the club itself is basically new, condition. The shaft is a brand new Kuro Kage 60x. It's only installed by fish netting (according to the guy at Cool Clubs in Scottsdale) so you'll need to epoxy it before use. Brand new it goes for about $150. Brand new this club goes for $1050 Matix Ozik Program 130 graphite iron shafts - $499 Top of the line New these retail for $720! They are buttery smooth feeling with outstanding kick and dispersement. Easy to stop the ball on approach shots with these as they are mid/high launch with high'ish spin. NO BALLOONING though. These have never been tipped and I had them playing +1" in length in my irons. They are in perfect condition. They are XX flex but feel more like an X. 117 grams and ultra low torque at 1.2! These feel softer than any steel shaft but with every bit as good of dispersion.

Sold the Personals, now what to get... Advice please. Also - CoolClubs in Scottsdale experience - Fantastic.
Hahaha, no I like the advice! I appreciate it. I know I have some big fundamental problems with my swing technique that affect my ability to consistently compress the ball, properly. I don't however, have swing problems that limit my power. It'd be nice to play golf without the constant harsh feeling shots.

Good advice, thanks! I've tried doing this and it does seem to help. My biggest problem is conceptually understand how I'm supposed to be striking the ball. It's almost as if I've convinced myself over the years that taking a divot is a mistake. What's weird though, is off a mat, I can pure the ball 7/10 times no problem and my shaft lean at impact, according the Cool Clubs, was within a normal range. Maybe I have a phobia of dirt I wasn't aware of... As far as forward pressing, I don't mind it except that I always piss around with my grip when I do it. If my grip is strong is feel fine but if my grip is neutral with a forward press, my right hand feels too on top of the grip/club and it seems to force a lot of forearm rotation in the takeaway/backswing to feel normal. I'm not well rehearsed enough in the golf swing to know if this is right or perhaps I've untrained what is considered "normal" or "right". Thoughts on this?

Personally, I didn't like the "Personals" but it may have had to do with the C-Taper shafts that were installed in them. I now have C-Tapers in my 302s in super XXXXXXXX flex hard stepped, etc and they feel better than they did in the Personals but on the whole, I still think they're a bad feeling shaft. Peformance seems decent, though. Although I'm still not seeing the low launch everyone claims they produce.

Fourteen RM12 feel
I have the Gold's. They're nice feeling (I believe Kyoei blanks...). On the larger side which is ok. Spin it pretty well.

If they're very young and just starting out, I'd teach them how to hold the ball, the importance of always picking a target and a few basic mechanical steps but I wouldn't want to risk compromising their enjoyment of the game for over analytical mechanical focus. You really want to allow their body to figure itself out before making any major changes. Too many times coaches who think they know what they're talking about start tampering with a young kids natural mechanics and delivery and little do they know they've opened up a can of worms that has the potential to compromise their natural talent for years to come. It happened to me and many other I know.
