  1. yup. they are the softer version or shigekis which are an x flex, and they are stout!
  2. yes and get the weight right.. its ok to just say ok build this to d2.5 but that might need tip weights, gel shots, lead tape. the thicker the shafts u got he less "feel" u get so it kinda hurts all that is good in JDM feel. lord knows ive tried to get it perfect. still not there yet. i do know in my heart tho that 44.5 and 45.25 are the perfect length, the 45.25 i can get toe hang which i like on some clubs like the yammy tour, 45.5 is too much and 45 isnt quite enough 44.5 im at the end of the butt and i get great control. weird, but thats how i play best.
  3. heres what id really really like.., contmeplated selling all my watches and just getting these
  4. m=maruyama 266= his score v=victory in 2006 i think ur right here actually yes these are his NS shafs made only for tourstge reverse weight something or other. pw is much lighter than the 3iron. strange but true. for some reason i love this style nad i play them really well. ive rung. ive begged, ive pleaded t oget antoher set. no.........can...................do.
  5. IMO ..... tourstage drivers dont get a lot of air play , even in japan. i think its becease they might be viewed more like the professionals clubs. my mate just bought the old 703 dg di7s last firday, which i think was made ot be a very forgiving easy to hit stlye club. we were at hte range having a bash around and its no more harder than anything else. wasnt overly long but was lovely to hit. thsi model goes ok, but agaisnt the yamaha same model, the yam i thought was way better i did the TS /YAM test a cpl of yrs back, yama was miles better IMO i dont see them in many bags, and no one i know has them except him the old TS p51 ai-chan model form 3-4 yrs ago was an undergorund type of hit . but seriosuly it was really hard and stupidly low. my bud had one and on a good day it was great on a bad day he was dead ,every drive way to unforgiving to game, and, when theres so much more out there thats is much more forgiving obv its TS so quality is great, but just saying its viewed as a more demanding club i think. i saw this , and had a good look at it at he show in feb and thought while the shape looked ok, the business of the sole and the very rounded compact shape ddint appeal at all. its just looks hard to hit, hard to like i never think to look at any TS model beceause to me they conjure up "thouhgts of uncomfortable difficulty."
  6. epon zero epon personals epon zen damn, now theres a bag.!
  7. its a pretty big change right? doent take long to get used to looking at the club shorter and lookiing at spots on the fairway spcifically, not just"out there somewhere" the tree lined courses are perfect for these drivers, to me they look like hitting a 3 wood every hole. distance but with control. even 1/2 inch makes a big differnce. that 10.5* kamui pro with GD p9003x has become my safety club. gets another session this weekend at a very tree lined beauty of a course thats at altitude right under mt fuji so distacne is much less important bec the ball flies so much longer, but get off the tee well and your laughing!. i tink im going to cut hte ryoma down to 44.5 as well.
  8. these are the best shafts ever. i ve got the blades withthese shafts . if no one buys them as a sett i wil take the shafts if uwant to go down that route.
  9. U havnt really gone a similar path here they all look. vEry different the pp dont look that forgiving really they are cavity but def players clubs the heads small the soles thin remind me of fourteen tc1000 the aftours are a blade all be it forgiving compared to the othrr blades in blade land. But a blade none the less. The callaway x forged might be the easiest to play out of these big heads pretty chunky butter soft all good clubs id go af tours of these in my book they are the best if this lot.
  10. yea id like my own as well.
  11. crazy Daimyo crazy Shogun crazy takezo crazy kojiro crazy minamoto crazy masamune crazy ishikiri crazy teppokiri
  12. jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee that took cojones! rustic.. like that description love the result. jeeeee thats ballsy mate!
  13. do NOT consider buying anything golf related in singapore. last yr after the quake i was gobsmacked at the prices of things. get it here.. get it sent there. just pay up for instalation. if u need it that urgently. sinagpaore golf gear pricing is uttely rediculous.
  14. what kind of specs are these going to come out at. and price range. we talking 80t? i dont mid the colour scheme, looks fine to me. maybe a little differnt style font might be an idea. the name...hmmmmm i dont mind it but im sure this aint aimed at my area. yea ....,prob better to soften that name up a bit . like the idea tho gettiing ur own shaft. supo pro/ proto tour X-long, /+19y would be my shaft. in ferarri RED
  15. well u r irons ae largish for balde and straight edged so mayeb a set that look not too disimilar to that shape prob rules out pear shaped ones. and brings things like the vokeys. yururi tour , yes esepecially, these i think will match easutifully, similar shape and i nthe dark colour. yes thats my choice.... yururi tour
  16. next time i see this driver it will be eating peking duck.. BIG cheers TSG. SOLD.
  17. the 435 i rebuilt it with a crazy cb50 8.2, my equal fav shaft. comes in at 323 d3 can get this airborn no probs. but its more over a thumping wind cheating low ball lama driver. the run i get with it is a lot. and its made for specific stlye of courses that i can get some run on, and to keep the diseprsion tighter. im not really wanting this for out and out distance, although, thats what it delivers. this i think is also one of the most stable , straight driver heads there is. the shaft and this head are a great match. feel is terrific. and thats saying something bec this head has a tendency to dull everyting in it. when the ground gets harder and the ball starts to ping off the not greenstufff this comes alive. oh and hawaii..........! i doubt if ill take anything else other than this to hawaii. its just not for the sumemr months in japan thats for sure, giving up too much but another one i wont be touching , bec the head actually likes this shaft this is a great horse for a hard course!
  18. ok further on these 2 clubs.., my SS is about 110 mph+- a few depending on the day.... i rebuilt the epon zero with the diamana X 70s at 44.75 inch ive been hitting it a lot at the ranges , but not gaming it, for no other reason , other than i want to quelch my uncotrollable desire to build more drivers. nothing to do with ease nor quality , iwill say i hadnt gotten it completely wired so, thats might be a reason, but not over riding. also the tighter course i pay , i was nt sure if this was hte best choice considering how many soecificlly made drivers i have. i never considerd it..... so..........., there is a special person in tokyo town this week, so i figuered this was the perfect time to "rebag the epons" the af tours + the zero got a game at my old favourite corse in ibaraki , old orchard ( not to far form the tsunami), in fact this course split from the earth quake so i havnt played it in a while. but yesterdays game was on wet grass in the morn to dry in the afternoon, and it was in super condition! (it feel like id just met and old girl friend in a bar unexpectadly, and alone.....!) anyway..............., took the epon zero and nothing else., so i had to game it. glad i did. got a few of these out nicely during the day with pretty good distance. there was literally NO roll what so ever, in fact on the mega par 5 the bloody ball plugged, luckily jeff nearly walked on it and found it.otherwise it was lost middle of the fairway! so, overall distance wasnt what i normally get, but,, the carry was awsome! i really gotta rethink this bec with some roll out this might be right up here. ill say AGAIN...and AGAIN... there is NOTHING , driver wise thats ever been made in this good a quality . the kasco super hyten FD is the closest thing. everything else pails in to insignificance. yes, i really think its that good. i hit 10/12 fairways or first cut. only one i really missed was on 18. a hideous slice, after waiting 15 mins for the tee box to clear! but even that i wasnt completely dead. apart from that felt i was hitting it pretty well, got the shape i like to hit going, a (semi) controled fade and as always.., the stock cpl of excessive "fades"........................., , but the ball ended up perfectly good on the first cut. so no probs. the diamana X is magnificent. it will NOT go left. no matter what u do to it. BUT its not a slicematron either. i love this shaft. this course i know as good as any course ive palyed, lord knows ive seen enough of it over the years. so, i know what to expect, its nto a brutal tight one, nor is it bomb gouge. if u miss the drive ur hitting out of woods or in water, but u can go hard at the ball most holes and get good reward for ur efforts. bad shots DONT go O/B , u will be in thick rough or in trees chipping out . its a very good fair course. and its LONG its 7100 yards but plays well longer. a cpl of the par 4s.. well really... i hit driver 5w and was 30 yards short in the bloddy pond! so i know what to expect here. with how i hit it yesteday and some dry conds ill say def ths driver could well be up there overall distance. its NOT the longest. no way but the unepxpected accuracy i was getting makes this driver a LOT better than i frst thought. after my session in the nets i think i got it wired now its real test comes when i game it against in comp on the tighter TCCJ course. but i dont know why i would do that. ive got drivers specifically made for that course. no.. this driver is just perfect when u can have a good old go at it , with a bit of room. oh did i say its the best feeling driver by a country mile? diamana X + epon zero = a bloody good driver. RIGHT up there gents.. right up there, for the STRONGER faster swing driver of the ball. the feeling of it is just amazing

  21. i gamed my af tours today, first time in eons, wet grass on lush greens grass fairways. todays divots taken were close to 6 meters long, u get the idea cud not hit them better they are peerless on this turf the DP s shafts were perfect. abolutely perfect. moving them will nilly in no wind. wet greens the ball didnt roll, it was close to perfect scoring conditions as u can get. the differnce in feel of these to everything else i have was noticeable. or rather, u cant feel the ball on the face forgot how good they are from now on, wil be hard to get these out of bag till autumn sensational irons
