this was a funny chance meeting thats ryoma relevant..., i was playing yesterday at my home course in japan and we were the last group off at 10.00 am . yes u read that right tee times here form 730-10am thats it. so on 16 we were told to pull over and let the seniors comp guys come thru. no probs. i turned to get my kasco out of my bag for the short par 4 and i heard "stewart-san ?" i turned back in utter amazement to see "ryoma-san" beaming at me. what u doing. i asked ? "oh im in the match play mens final club champs right now , "were just finishing a 36 hole final" "oh hey is that the ryoma i sent u on thursday he asked.. " "yup." "sugoi ne!, ( excellent !!!) " yes its is i replied its a littele on the stiff side but this thing KILLS the ball. first game just breaking it in. "ganabatta ne.. (good luck)" same i replied yes my new ryoma d-1 202 gram 9.5* square headed, / shingo spec m6 proto 2010 shafted beast! yes this is the new one. nad its humongously long, the extra weight make all the differnce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they were being , followed by a flock of blazer wearing membe officials and a cpl of compulsory kawaii girls. he teed off .. i turned to see what he was using in his bag .... ryoma black d1 with STOCK dg 65 s made for ryoma shaft driver and the f2 similar shafted stock shaft. he killed his f2 form the tee to a point where you could not walk down and place it any better about 260 ish. great tee shot when they played thru i teed my kasco 12.8* FD stinger X shafted weapon and hit it to just about the exact spot he was . i KILLED mine. cudnt hit it any better high soaring draw. hes prob 50-53 yrs old ish id think and he clobbered the regualr shafted f2. that got me thinking. bec i m sure faster harder than him and we re wre no more than 5-10 yards apart , at most! his was a great flight not low not too high and all carry. he went on thwin the final 3 and 2 so i just learned ryoma san is the club champ at my home club AND he practices what he preaches! yes the ryoma fw is a hell of a club!
  2. glad u mentiond TS x series chris. bec they DO play very much differntly to the other lines. and realy only the very best ball striker should be hitting this line to get the most out of what the clubs were designed to do . ive got several x blade series and the old maru US blades form 03 and these lines are without doubt the smallest most compact heads there are. they dont feel as good as most of the other brands (besides the marus which it think are peerless with the NS mv226 shafts) unless u really hit the sweet spot. and u loose a ton of distance if u dont. the new x905s are easily thier best designed irons, the look is fantastic + they are just a wee bit easier to hit that the older models. in fact ill go so far as to say they are THE best designed blades ive seen. that dont play easy or sweetly unless u middle the hell outta them. u miss the sweet spot and u know about it. if u get the middle 90% or moret then there arnt many better blades, if at all. they are like scimitars u can make the ball do anything u want. just dont miss the middle.!

  7. gotta have at LEAST one idle bag... at least one. i have changed my idea this yr , each week i play a differnt set. no real reason, just bec i got so damn many i gotta play them well....., unless tha baron gets fruity and fancies a flutter then the mack daddy bag gets taken out . so i guess i got a top dog bag which is usually the safest most relaible non theatrical clubs ..., and the rest. spoon u gotta get more..!
  8. hgahaaha gollum. the yamaha bag is taking shape it gets to all good hos i n the end bec the quality is just undeniable and irresistable. i think once u hit the power length with that little extra weight u will be converted fully. oh and the 17* FW is just so damn fine i was hititng mine agn alst night i rebuilt a set of 2007 tour fft woods with roddio tour protos . guess whats in the bag for sunday!

  10. yea i told u i built the yamaha last weekend.. its bloody good belts the hell outta the ball . very long. small compact head.., 410 cc i and very workable. as chris said not really that forgiving at all. i puthe GD bb6x in it and ill say i like it a lot. prob NOT as good as the new ones, in fact.... its quite away behind. but its miles better than the callway and no idea abt the TS sorry
  11. yes its tip weighted. just to get the SW to d3 43.75 inch raw inch play. to 45in non tipped.

after last nights session agaisnt a DGp9003x..a crazy ls noir 80....and a roddio m6 shingo spec proto....in all honesty, it was the nicest feeling shaft. but i think its just a bit too flexy. it seems to lag a bit, and dispersion was nt quite what i need, the good shots with it go like the wind. the misses right were minimal and hardly noticeable, but the misses left went quite a bit left. if ur a slicer.............. then this isnt abd shaft it doesnt need to be murdeed to get it to go, can just smooth ito ut there, and as i said it feels awsome to hit.... i think its prob for the slower swing er than the more robsut hitter. i dont think its bad at all, its cetianly long.its not a control shaft, ithink a little tipping might just get this thing tighter. ilike it ,but its not for me.
  13. excellent.. PHEW...! sold close her up cheers TSG..!

thtas what im finding.. m yhead is behind the shaft and im getting big draws. im not used to that. its a tryely wonderful feel maybe i just need to hang in there a bit. im hittng the 70x and it doesnt feel like an x , not by a long shot. i love it. but i think i need tighter. ithink this is more like a stiff.

can see why.. its prob perfect for him. i ahve issues with sleek faced clubs anyway.. even the egg gets under my nose most times, as much as i love it i dont like thin faces. i much prefer the yamahs looks or eps the RC new model ,THAT thing looks incredible
  25. yes..! ill tell you the results now yes!! these heads just LAP up NS shafts so much better than the DGs i boughth the sponsored J -pros in 2003 0r 2004 s unused set a few months ago with DG s300 adn they were very good, but iswapped them out for a set of NS c10s protoype wich are heavy like the NS blue X and these are now my all time favourite clubs. they are just perfect in enery way better withthese shafts than thelighter ones. now im not 100% sure.. but if i got the right nod form old mate.., i think these were endo forged. dont shoot me o nthis but im sure thats what i was told. they certianly feel mushy enough to be . havnt gotten 100% confo on it yet , maybe someone else can chime in that knows , but i was told they are. if they are..., then u guys s def ome cheap asssssssssssss super clubs!!!!
