most anti-left driver shaft?
I thought you were playing some extremely high swing weight clubs, like e6 or something like that.....i would put a 30-40g counterweight into the butt and then the head would not snap over as much.....its a quick fix and should not be too pricey...just drill a hole in the grip and insert weight

Yamaha rmx tour model cb vs mb
Welcome Mike, by following you on the other forum WRX, you should fit right at home here.....You have had some of the nicest domestic irons with shaft setups imaginable and all in mint condition. I can't wait to see what u can do with the JDM stuff. As for Yamahas I have not tried the 2014 stuff and have only hit the 2013 sparingly.....I have however hit the 2011/2012 tour models and they are very nice irons....However the irons you are hitting are probably just as nice if not nicer ! I am hitting the AF302 in copper and do not feel there is a need to change for performance sake but i change irons up for a different feel or look.

Kamui TP-07 460 Drivers Nitro & Foam Heads
im a firm believer of the "air" technology being used employed by Kamui and i absolutely love the muted sound of the driver ! Since i am playing the stock 55g stiff shaft, it really flies. Im not sure i would get the same distance with my normal gamer shafts but the ball flight and feel are very distinct. Some may love it and some may not, its a sound you either love or hate and the feel is quite subjective too !

Kamui TP-07 460 Drivers Nitro & Foam Heads
Now now....even i am not that gullible, the launch monitors are about as truthful as the ladies at the gentleman's club !!!! All i know is that golf courses are getting too darn long. Each year i look for the secret combo that will get me 2-3 yards longer and then the courses decide to lengthen by a few hundred yards !!! I can keep up with technology, but not the course designers ! And for those of you who are more "experienced" golfers will know that if you play 36 holes on friday, you will be a bit shorter on saturday and on sunday you will be in search of a "Tee it Forward" sign. * As for swing speed lets split the difference.....i think I'm 105 mph and the absolute worst i can be is 95 mph so 100mph should be a safe estimate !

Kamui TP-07 460 Drivers Nitro & Foam Heads
the swing monitors have me as fast as 118-122 mph !!! haha.....all i know for certain is that on a warm sunny day with no wind and ill be anywhere from 280-310 yards off the tee ! * Any idea when the Kamui Works Air is being released or has it been released ???

Kamui TP-07 460 Drivers Nitro & Foam Heads
Damn, I'm getting the longest drives of my life with this setup.....Thats the good news, the bad new is that i swing 95mph ??!!?? Oh well, i was wondering why the 55g stiff was able to hold my swing, and now i know why...i don't swing that fast......I was under the impression that i swung 108...but I'm probably 95-96mph

TRPX Driver : comparing numbers
i agree with you, the launch angle seems a bit low but i am a fan of the face forward CG with very high launch and low spin ! I think it depends on the courses you play and how deep the rough is and how fast the fairways are ! I would much prefer a 240 yard carry with 10 yards of roll than 225 carry and 30 yards of roll. If the 11 degree will net u another 12 yards of carry, it might be the right way to go....the higher launch may improve accuracy as well but if the courses you play are windy, the 10 deg may be the way to go. In my experiences i have noticed however that as you get more and more practice with a club, the launch gets higher eventually. We tend to it drivers on the thin side when we first get them but when we gain experience, we can hit it on the higher part of the face and this results in a higher launch angle as well.

Epon SUS316 irons?
I wish someone would find a way to make a wear resistant black finish......Even the highly touted black boron finish by miura doesn't last long, but it is a sight to behold when new !!! There must be a way to fuse a black finish into the metal so that it wears black throughout. A Epon with a black finish would be a dream but unfortunately that is not possible, but copper af302s is not too bad a compromise

Member Introduction Thread - Say hello and tell us about yourself!
Hello JDM enthusiasts, today is my 10 year anniversary at TSG and it seems fitting to say hello to everyone and wish them all a Happy Year of the Horse. I started out as a cancer researcher in the chemistry department and that provided the most free time I ever had in my life to play golf. it was basically golf 7 days a week ! For those of you in the medical/science field, you may have figured out that i set out most of my reactions to occur over a 6-8 hour period ! If the reaction only too about 90 hours, I would either slow the reaction down thermally or increase the size of the reaction or haha hinder my reaction and reduce my purity and yield. But I had to have my golf time. During the past 12 years of golf, i have probably played with about 200 or so different sets of irons and about 70 different drivers and if you count shaft configs, well over 350 drivers. It has led me to the conclusion that golf clubs do not actually change that much over a 12 year span. The only thing that has changed is the golf ball. The ProV1X is vastly superior to the Professional 90. It absolutely astonished me that a club test involving a Callaway Big Bertha with stock shaft from 1998 kept pace with the new Callaway Xhot.....The carry difference was 3 yards and overall difference was 6-7 yards. The XHot was actually 1.25" longer in playing length and had a swing speed that was 7mph faster. ( Big Bertha 104mph / Xhot 112mph ) The main difference was the dispersion was much tighter and more predictable with the newer club ! As a scientist this result tells me that clubs do not change much ( big bertha stock shaft was a well known piece of crap that snapped at the hosel quite frequently ), and there is no need to purchase clubs on a monthly or even yearly basis. In conclusion, I have to admit that I have been lying to myself for over a decade telling myself that this club is so much better than that club ! They are all basically the same once you find a club that works for you. Know your swingspeed and then get fitted for the flight you prefer and then leave it alone. I however will keep chasing the mythical unicorn but haha i realize my reviews are mostly crap ! In closing though the Kamui Pro TP-07 nitro has me hitting the longest bombs in my life, and the fact that it is winter is even more amazing. Is it the club ? ( probably not but it sounds and feels amazing ) The length i am getting is probably because i am swinging smoothly with a 55g shaft that is quite soft but yet hits the ball straight !
