  1. I find the old Zero to be plenty forgiving enough. I'm in less trouble with it than in a long time using other drivers. The new Zero seems more forgiving which has me intrigued
  2. Would a gr77 like that be a good fit in a A-grind classic head, built to 44.75 or so...?
  3. Wow. amazing looking. And yeah, prolly not many around new in shrink plastic..
  4. Ha ha, yeah? It's all good. I haven't even sern the new Zero in the flesh yet, really good looking judging by the pics
  5. Ditto the Waccine...Although slim chance indeed, ha ha
  6. Not arguing, I'd love to get my hands on the new Zero. Just conveying my experience which surprised me too. Was very wary after reading all the "fore right" commentary. And only picked it up because, like you say, the price was right. Made me buy it just to try, in a "what the heck" moment
  7. It's odd I played the original Zero both yesterday and today again and I'm really straight with it, and my classic miss is slice/right. I only feel I'm risking a slice with the original Zero when I really step on it and try to really hit it hard..THEN, if it slices, the banana ball is amazing, more sliced than I thought was possible. Otherwise it goes straight, even got a couple of hooks today, or more like over-draws..Which usually almost never happens to me.
  8. Yeah, I've heard that too now that you mention it
  9. Ahh, that Waccine! Blink and you'll miss it, good catch Stu
  10. These look fantastic with those finish options!

I have noticed that the standard lie angle for Titleist irons is the most upright of all brands as far as I can see, at 62.5 for a 6-iron. Most other brands are around 61, some even 60.5. Something to keep in mind if you think lie angle is important. Like for me, that usually need a more upright lie. People that historically have gamed Titleist might have some experience with this, if they have gotten along well with their "standard" lie.
  12. Pretty pricey paintjob, good to know. I thought they did some sort of extra weight sorting/spining/quality control along the lines what Crazy did with those KBS/Crazy shafts you see sometimes.
  13. Yes, you are correct. Flex/bend profile-wise, the 125s are almost identical to SPBs, only about 5 grams lighter. Anybody that miss the SPBs now that their not being made anymore, should go straight for the 125s.
  14. No, that one a friend of mine still games. The I-65 is black with the trademark "rings" in red
  15. So I have an A-grind Classic head coming and was thinking about shafts..I'm thinking about building a kind of "control" heavy-ish driver at a shorter length with this, since it's a nice heavy weight. Even thought about steel for a minute..I rummaged through some stuff and found a few shafts, Kusala Black 72X, Roddio W7WA X, even a very tipped HOF Sadlowski shaft. AND then I found a GD Tour AD I-65 S...I don't even remember how or where I got it! Checked and found an ancient review here on TSG about this shaft and apparently it's 72g with ultra low torque at 2.2. Could this be a good fit for the A-Grind? Does anybody even remeber this shaft, ha ha?
  16. Please do! I haven't bagged anything more lofted than a 58 for years..I hit that plenty high when i want. lately I have been thinking about a "forgiving" 60+ degrees wedge though. Something biggish and not razor sharp, with some bounce to it I mean..Like the 64/13 here

I really like the look of the 3W. For some odd reason I gravitate towards compact drivers AND friendly large FWs..
  18. If the shaft lives up to the description, they should consider offering shaft only?
  19. I like a heavier feel. I'm a putter novice and just pick up a putter and try it, if the head is nice and heavy feel-wise I get along with it. The typical Anser feels like there is "no" head for me, makes me too fast and even jerky. A heavier Anser style is something to try..I've been using thr Ben Hogan by Betti "baby ben" and the Rife 2-bar blade for many years. I also like the shaft to be at least 34,preferrably 35. Again, thr longer length makes the head feel heavier of course
  20. Really? Could have sworn I saw it for sale head only at least 2 weeks ago. Both light and standard weight versions.
  21. Out for a while already in Japan. Can't offer any feedback though.

That's the conforming version right? What PSI is it, over or under 90mph?
  23. Was it good? I've been to a few different Hooters, the one in Beijjng wasn't very "good" ha ha. The one here in Phuket is pretty good actually. Been there once only though, so don't think I'm some sort of Hooters veteran, ha ha

They are pretty widely available from what I have seen. As for experience I have the Kusala Black 72X, so probably pretty far off from what you are playing. I also have a srixon UT that came with a miyazaki shaft stock that i was thinking about switching out later, but I really like the club with this stock shaft.
