Fujikura Motore Speeder VT series.
Yeah, the gold coloured one is pretty blingy. But not overly so because It's a satin gold..I thank you for bringing this shaft up, I remember thinking about trying this because stability is exactly what I look for in a shaft too with my pretty fast and sometimes "violent" swing lol..Then I kind of forgot about the VT. Let me/us know how this plays, I got the A-grind classic head coming, might be a good match with the VT.

Where to eat in Osaka / Kyoto
Vegaman replied to vertigo88's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearYoshida Steakhouse in Gion in Kyoto. Expensive, but I have have never had better beef than there. They only serve Ohmi beef, apparently better than Kobe. I don't know about that, but like I said I have never had anything like it. I'm no expert or anything, I have had teppanyaki at a few Kobe beef places in Japan, like Kagura in Kobe city and a few others I can't remember the name of. But Yoshida really is the best I have had. But pricey. For cheap Kaiten Sushi there is always Musashi on Kawaramachi of course, where the customers WILL be like 90% or even 100% Gaijin because of the Lonely Planet recommendation. It's almost like the western people meeting point in Kyoto..But on the same street, Kawaramachi, 5 min walk further south there is another kaiten place that i can never remeber the name of but if you see the Tourist info office then you just backtrack around 30-40 meters or if you come from Shijo Dori walking north it's just past the same tourist info office. I call it the "Ryoma" kaiten, because immediately outside the entrance there is a sign marking the place where the revolutionary Sakamoto Ryoma actually was shot dead! Yes, that Sakamoto RYOMA that you can see in the background in the Ryoma golf ads! So for a true JDM lover this is the Kaiten place to visit, ha ha! Anyway, this place is more fun than Musashi, more high tech with the touch screen service and a much wider selection of not only sushi coming down the conveyor belt but you can get all kinds of "creative sushi" dishes some of which are downright weird. Osaka, i can admit I have only ever walked down Dotonbori to have Okonomiyaki at several different places..Yeah, pretty lame I know.

Fujikura Motore Speeder VT series.
I had a few hits with the VT 6.0 stiff once, but it's maybe a year ago. From memory it felt pretty stable and stiff for a shaft in the 60 gram range. This was like, Fujikuras most high end offering a few years back, but they never really seemed to take off so to speak. It might have been down to such a simple thing as the graphics, that most people think is terrible. And the price of course, they were/are pretty expensive. They are 80T aren't they? Might be wrong though. I think they look pretty stealthy and good actually..I have seen a gold colour version too, limited i think. Edit: I just checked out the specs on the VT, and even the 6.0 is 2.9 for torque, and the 7.0 is pretty damn low torque at 2.5. So that's like 757 territory.

Well, I'd say that a more casual use of "rough" language is very much an example of cultural differences. For example I am from Sweden and we as swedes are quite shocked at the use of "bad words" among our neighbours the Finns..P***y is commonly used there by young and old when something goes even slightly wrong. And of course we, and many other nationalities, never quite get used to the liberal use of the F word among many americans or brits. No matter how many native english speakers you get to know. I have a hard time imagining that there is a japanese language forum (as an example) where adult japanese golfers use WRX-style language.

Yeah, true

Could it be cultural? I bought a Seiko GPS Solar from a guy locally here in Thailand, and he described it as having a "scratch"..When I went to see him it turns out he was japanese and the "scratch" was completely invisible, we had to walk outside at look at the watch at an angle for me to even be able to maybe see the "blemish/scratch".

thanks tsg
So I guess you are saying these are good? I can admit I have never hit any of the PRGR irons. Kinda fly under the radar, only ever the woods that are talked about.

Shimada K's tour Stiff vs SPB Stiff
As per the topic title, can anybody compare these two. I have used the SPBs in X and liked them a lot. They are gathering dust at the moment though as I have moved to a bit softer shafts. So the SPBs in stiff sounds good, but wonder how the K's Tour would compare? Another reason is the Epon SUS irons with SPBs Stiffs in the BST that caught my eye!

Oddball wedge choice, Kasco DW-113
Yeah, true. They are a pretty leftfield choice, but good. The 52 is really versatile, great for full shots and bump n spinny low kind of pitches

Oddball wedge choice, Kasco DW-113
Yeah, I actually really liked the 52 at least as much as the 58. Must say it again, the satin finish on these is just amazingly smooth with a beautiful luster. The S400s are really good wedge shafts too I feel.Took a bit of a chance on those too

Oddball wedge choice, Kasco DW-113
Yes, that's the idea. I did open it up a few times with good results

Oddball wedge choice, Kasco DW-113
So I just really liked the shape of this the "dolphin" wedge..I decided on a whim to custom order a 52/58 set, S400 shafts, D4&D5 SW, 0.25 over length and blue stripes ferrules. They came today and I took them out for a quick 9 holes. I must say the satin finish on these is the smoothest and most classy I have seen on almost any club. I had a few shots that dug more than I'd like but otherwise great performing wedges with really good spin. A few pitches that I was thinking would roll out on the green just stopped dead. I definitely must get used to the "drop dead" kinda spin, I ended much further from the hole than I expected. On fuller shots the 52 was fantastic from around 100 yards, again that same "drop dead" result, no backspin, just landed and stopped. Very solid feeling, sets up great. The course was pretty empty today so me and my friend dropped a lot of extra balls giving me the chance to try many extra chips and pitches as well as full shots with the DW-113s. Edit: I really don't know how to post photos that aren't rotated. Don't know why this happens, everything attaches as rotated the wrong way.
