  1. Yeah, seems it's about time I get/hit one of these
  2. This is really interesting stuff, have held the Ray several times and always thought it looked really excellent. Never pulled the trigger though, even when stumbling across some truly great deals and head-shaft combos..
  3. I also have the original head lying around..What shaft you think would be suitable? Something heavy and short is my idea. I haven't bothered so far mainly because I, oddly you could say, hit the 415 Zero almost worryingly good. Like I'm expecting everything to go pear shaped every time I take it to the course This new AG looks cleaner though, a definite upgrade it seems
  4. What's the loft in the Brassy?Edit: That's ok, saw it in the pro shop.
  5. That is excellent news, might have to get one of these to try out.
  6. The 501s are essentially for people that enjoy the look, feel and playability of a blade, but with a touch more forgiveness thrown in. The Kuros are mid size CBs or slightly less with tungsten tech to add forgiveness and launch. They are provably as forgiving as the AP2s and the S55s. But MUCH better looking in my opinion. The Honma 727Vn is more compact, more like a blade players CB again, a bit like the 501s but a more modern design perhaps. Very compact, very little offset, but more forgiving than a true MB
  7. Compared to the 501s the Kuros could almost be called chunky. Of course that's only in comparison to the 501s since those look almost exactly like a MB blade looking down. So looks-wise they are pretty different, and yes will be be way more forgiving. If you get used to how they look I guess few things are better. If you want to keep the more sleek look with a bit more forgiveness than the 501s you need to look at other stuff, like the Honma 727Vn or along those lines. Maybe the Seven Cavity Blade, A-Grind CB, fourteen tc-888 etc
  8. I agree. That lion majestically gazing from the hill...A bit cheezy?
  9. I've been wondering this too, thanks Riduffer
  10. If the shaft lives up to the description, then a fitter is of course obsolete since there is only the one shaft flex that works for "all" swingspeeds. If you can get only the shaft, put it in your favourite head and swing away. I like this idea a lot, it's like going back in time to when players just got shafts in their club heads, nobody knew what "flex" or even "weight" was. It was like "well, it's steel, I know that much"
  11. Hu? Not following you now. Some sort of classic joke I don't know about?
  12. I think they are non-conforming because they aren't "round"? The surface must be smooth/uniform. I think I have read years ago something about a shaft being oval and thus having lower wind resistance, also making it non-conforming
  13. Will you keep them over-length?
  14. Yeah, a bit odd. with only 358 made, can they break even considering design, making a mold etc? And how about the RB247 iron, only 50 sets made. Must have been a huge loss?
  15. I have never hit an OnOff driver. I don't know why really, they always made good looking driver heads with high quality shafts as stock. I remember almost "impulse-buying" a Labospec 420 on looks alone once
  16. Agree with this. A simple "sold" is all that needs to be added. Leave the rest as it was.
  17. So the 302 3-pw is not for sale, only for trade, right?
  18. Yeah, beautiful stuff. Do report back on how they play, including wedges
