  1. Why not the matching Tourstage Type T 17*.
  2. Yeah, I saw that. Nice review. I may have to try some. Been using the Srixon Z-Star for a couple of years and really like it. Yellow, too. Durable as all get-out.
  3. Can't wait for mine! Looks great...can it look great from just the bottom?
  4. Thought I'd throw this out for the Epon fanboys to jump up and down and say "Epon does!" w/o having played them yet. haha...just a little election day ribbing to lighten the mood (for me at least!)

The ones in my pic. Miura raw ground by Joe Kwok. Fantastic in every way (except for rusting!). Had him make 2 sets, one with 52* and 58*, the other with 51, 56, and 61. He sculpted them square like the baby blades. A perfect transition from the square baby blade PW. No big bulbous toe. Lots of heel and toe relief, blunted leading edge, and spin like crazy. Way more than my newer Miura C and Y-grind wedges. Worst were Epon wedges from a few years ago. Just too bulky to work for me.
  6. Never hit an OnOff iron before, but that's a great looking club. Maybe a tad less offset would be better? For me, anyways...
  7. Dang, dude, if I could get my SS up about 5 or 10 mph, I'd NEVER buy anything new! Just sit around and wait for you to get bored. haha..usually doesn't take very long.

Correct forum. These are the North American version of the small blades. JDM version is the Miuraism SB-01. Different stamping. Slightly different grind.
  9. Good write-up. Didn't you have a GD BB in one of those that you thought was a good fit? I've got a Yam Tour 10* with the GD BB 6-s that's the straightest driver I've hit. Not insanely long, but long enough. And can go high or low, left or right. With GREAT feel. Interested to see if they can improve on it for 2103.
  10. I think you should stick with what works for you and what you like. If you've played c-tapers and like the feel and traj of them, stick with them. Takes out a variable when getting/trying new clubs. If your new clubs or demo's are going too high, you know it's not the shaft and maybe adjust your lofts or get something else.
  11. hahaha...well I put in a search for "images". none here, no linkie here!
  12. I've got a set of Miura baby blades and Yururi flat backs (not black). Both have minimal offset, to my eye the Miura less. The Miura has a better grind as it's a little less sharp. The Yururi is softer, the Miura more dense and solid, feels better to me. Some prefer ultimate softness. I also had some Tournament blades, didn't get on with them at all. As far as the Miuraisms, one of their JDM lines that they say is their best forging, best metal, blah, blah: The SB-01 is the same size and shape as the baby blades here with a little different grind for the Asian market. The SB-02 is the shape of the SB-01 (and baby blade) but a little larger. Would LOVE to hit that one. Maybe the best of all worlds IMO; looks, shape, size. Almost pulled the trigger on a set of those but ouch, that price! The MB5003 is the size and shape of the Tourney Blade, but with the Asian market grind. This is all per Ari's post showing all the sizes and shapes of the Miura lines. You really oughtta check that one out. The spin welded hosel is a controversial subject. They say it creates a more consistent hosel. Critics argue they do it cuz it's cheaper. Maybe it could be both? More expense and time or whatever it takes doesn't always mean better. To me it's a non-issue. There's also the issue of who really makes them? For a traditional iron, which you said you were looking for, you can't beat the baby blades from Miura. They look great, flat-out perform, and the best feel I've experienced. Tried a bunch of other blades and cb's and can't get them out of the bag.
  13. Ahhhhh...a Yamaha blade. Glad I put my order in. Just hope it's not offset or with a bulby toe! Googled "Yamaha 2013 golf clubs" and got a million pics of their 2013 motorcycle lineup. Why do WE have to wait??!! C'mon, Yam.
  14. I'll be getting one of each. Can't pass these up. LOVE the V202 Tour driver and 2012 Tour irons. Miura-san is gonna be jealous.

The only thing you need now is that new-in-the-shop white and red Crazy bag with the skull. That would look awesome with that set in it!
  16. GREAT-looking head.
  17. Not sure what he did. But the same guy shafted up Tommy Armour III's TaylorMade irons with these shafts so he'd better know what he's doing. Hopefully it was just cuz it was cold, 40-50 degrees colder than it' been since May.
  18. So I took them out yesterday and hit them with the 110's cut to stiff flex. Felt really boardy compared to my Miura 1957 LE's with KBS Tours in stiff. Could have been that it's been in the 90's and yesterday it was about 53* and windy. But after I went and chipped a little bit I went back to the range with my Miuras and they still felt really good. Gonna take them out Tues or Wed when it warms back up and see what happens then. Neither heads nor shafts felt particularly good, hopefully just cuz of weather.
  19. It's not in your bag, lemme put it in mine!
  20. That's FANTASTIC looking!!!
  21. I've got the Miura KM-007 and Odyssey #9 that's here in the TSG shop with the new face. Gotta tell you, the Odyssey's been in the bag a lot lately. The feel is way better than any Odyssey I'd tried before and rolls it great. Soft but not mushy, and with good feedback. The Miura is dead solid like their irons, a little less forgiving than the Odyssey. Sad to say, I hit the Baby Blades better than the Miura putter.
  22. Thx for the info, guys. Gonna shaft up these Yururi Prototypes with the Aerotech 110's. Getting some Yururi Chili wedges from tsg to go with this set. 51*/9 and 57*/14. Satin finish, thin sole. Hope they're anywhere near as good as the wedges in my avatar that I've used for 3 years. They're starting to look not so good. But nuthin else has been able to kick 'em out. Will let you know how the irons and wedges work out if anyone's interested.
  23. Are the heads lighter than normal or something? Normal 5-iron length is 37.75" Might be interested if normal weight. Don't need it that long.
  24. IDK, I kinda like the loft instead of iron number. Like with wedges, I say I hit my 52, not my gap wedge. With iron manufacturers lofts all over the board, to me it make sense to put lofts on hybrids and wedges.

I was looking at some Yururi heads in a shop the other day and may get them. What's the word on Steelfiber shafts? I was thinking of these shafts. Been struggling with arthritis (and a torn ligament in my left wrist) and tendonitis in a finger or two. Have had surgery on two fingers already for trigger finger. Anyway, maybe these would be a little easier on the joints? Tommy Armour III was in the shop and had these in his TM TP irons. Said they play great. Lots of guys on tour are using them as well he said. He had the 110's IIRC. Probably what I'd get. Any feedback on these? Thanks for any info...
