A-GRIND R1 CB in the House!
Yup, dense but I can really feel the ball on the face. I love the smoove MCI's to death, but have been wanting to try these OT's. Could always swap out one of my MCI sets, but going with gut on trying something new first... Wedge is deadly accurate with NS Pro WV in it. Got the Modus 3 in the 50. . Hoping for similar feel from the irons. Similar but different... Am sure you know what I mean... <g>

A-GRIND R1 CB in the House!
Just picked up a set and I'm going to shaft them with OT's that I'm waiting for now. To say that I've fallen hard for the 56-onset wedge is an understatement. The thing has been working magic for me around the greens. Just received the 50-deg, too, this morning and look forward to putting it in play tomorrow.

Also comparison of Basileus with 7D would be appreciated.

A-Grind Fairway Woods!
I recently took an old 7 out to see if it might handle one Par3 on my course for which I can't seem to find the right club. It's between my two hybrids. XV-5wd is a little too long. But the 7 always seems to balloon on me eventually... I end up saying hmmmmmm as well...

Anyone knows what shoes Danny Willett is wearing today?
RLL33 replied to Staxxx's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI like the look, too. He's a Callaway guy, so they might be a new line from them. I don't see them on their website... but it's weird with Cally, sometimes their shoes show up in stores before you see them online...

SEVEN 64* Wedge
Well, I love the shape, and the fact that you've gone 64*, but... I can't play non-conforming... ;=[

SEVEN 64* Wedge
Can I ask though, Chris, why the decision to go non-conforming?

A-Grind Utility Wood Images
Hey, Aussie. I think I posted a review some time back (in another thread). I really like the hybrid. I use it for distances in between my HB3 and my 6-iron. It also gets the ball up higher in the air than my HB3, with a very soft landing. It's especially good out of rough and special situations where I want to choke down or something, but still want some distance off a punch shot. Ball really flies off the face with a nice pop. I have it shafted with a Hiskei Custom 60 hybrid which most would find too light, but which I love.

Fantastic session at 7D
Thanks, nob! Sounds exquisite in the detail. And the focus area of the swing arc really makes sense to me in light of the way my swing feels when I get my best shots off with both of the shafts they made for me. Very cool -- these guys are good! And P.S., with regard to the pre-arrival "waiting period" you're in now, props to Chris for nursing me through mine............ <g> I'd suggest many more distractions like Disneyland... ;=]

Fantastic session at 7D
Congrats, nob! Sounds like another happy 7D camper! Look forward to hearing the follow ups, too. In the meantime, would also love to hear more detail about the fitting experience. How long were you there? What was the routine in terms of hitting, trying different heads and shafts? Or do they work off of results they get with some kind of baseline shaft? Would enjoy pictures or video some day, too (if they'd allow...). I envy you guys for the in-person experience, hope to make the trip some day myself. Still VERY happy with the results from just the questionnaire, but would be curious to see if an in-person fitting further refined a choice for me. cheers, --RL

Steel v graphite for blades?
The HB3 is my go-to club for second shots. Plays like the ultimate 3-iron, except that it's easy to launch. And no ballooning or hybrid hooking with this baby. It's just pure. The A-Grind is a great utility for me to have in the bag. Terrific out of rough and any other difficult situation. Ball pops off head with wonderful speed and sound. Easy to work choke down shots with it, too, which I've never found in a hybrid before.

Chuck, I got the OnOff's here on the BST from a mate down under. He had them refinished in the copper. Here are some pics that I finally got to snap yesterday of the whole bag.
