NEW EGG FW FIRST IMPRESSIONS
The Fubuki is a good shaft matches well with the head. Overall combo may be a tad light but I am still working on that. The M43 that I have in the UT is good but that combo also feels light. the Fubuki is worth the upgrade. The XV is a great FW, stock shaft was very good.

NEW EGG FW FIRST IMPRESSIONS
Chris I found the New Egg to be easier to hit then the 2nd Gen Egg from both surfaces the turf and Tee box. The New Egg for me is comparable in distance to the F3. Both from the fairway are giving me around 220-230 yards with a full swing. I found the Egg easier to hit. This is a subjective statement but for me the Egg gives me the flight and distance I am looking for. The XV is a great FW. Very easy to hit good sound and feel. When I compared the two side by side I found that the Egg was more useful in the bag as I would use it from the fairway/long grass and tee box whenever I needed to. The XV from the Tee box is a mini driver great distance and nice flat ball flight. However I never felt the same confidence form the turf with it. So instead of going for it on the longer par 5's I would lay up. No such problem with the Egg, if it is in range I go for it on the par 5's and most times it works great. The three of them the F3, New Egg and XV are all great FW's you couldn't go wrong with any of them, what it came down to was personal feel and confidence. I would suggest that you try the three of them if you are unsure of which to go for. However if you are in love with the T388 driver then your will find the XV to fit nicely in your bag as it could easily be a mini T388.

NEW EGG FW FIRST IMPRESSIONS
I wrote about that above. The new egg replaced both the XV and F3 FW's from my bag.

P-Tune PG313 w/ Waccine Compo GR77 DR-S
The Ptune head is a very nice performing head but definitely not the best looking head in the world. I will reshaft mine with the Messenger shaft in the spring to see if I can get the smooth and easy feel I have with the TPRX D and Messenger shaft now.

distance 3 woods....
Over the past 12 months I have had the 2nd Gen Egg, Syard XV FW, Ryoma F3 FW and the New Egg 15 FW, in my bag at one time or another. Distance wise the XV and New Egg were champs for me. As far as ease of use, both eggs and the XV were very good. From the turf the new egg gives me the most confidence as it is very forgiving and makes solid contact almost every time. The XV is good from the turf but excels from the tee box especially on those short par 4's. The Ryoma is a nice looking club but the others listed bested it in every category in my case. The New Egg is the only one still in the bag. When it came down to it I found that the new egg worked in all the situations I needed it to without compromise. A few weeks ago I used it instead of my driver off all the par 4 and 5's. The damn thing performed very well, great distance low ball flight. The XV I did end up letting go to another member here, but I may end up regretting that move, since it was a very nice club.

Anyone playing the NEW PRGR EGG I+?
Art I have the new Egg UT in the 21 degree head with the M43 shaft. I didn't have the old version of this UT, however I do have and use the Romaro UT 18. The Egg is very nice good solid sound at impact nice and crisp. Distance wise it is long. Ball flight is mid, played this week in a strong headwind, the Egg UT was a life saver on the longer par 4's as the wind did not effect distance the ball just cut through it. The Romaro is my favorite UT that I have ever played, it is long and very forgiving, ridiculously easy to hit. The Egg I feel maybe on par with it. I think if I had gotten the lower loft version it would easily be as long as the Romaro. The Egg UT complements the new Egg FW which I have in a 15 degree head. PM me if you want more specifics.

The head feels better then pretty good. In my humble opinion it feels awesome. So whatever it is made up of doesn't matter because it plays well.

PRGR 2013 EGG UTILITIES initial review
I also put into play this week the 21 degree Egg Ut. After two rounds of play I am very pleased in the results. Extremely easy to hit. The ball travels on a mid trajectory with easy. Hitting out of the rough was no problem with only minimal distance loss. This club is as forgiving as the Romaro UT that I love and rely on heavily. I did not have the previous version of the Egg UT so can not comment on the differences, but can say this is one good Utility.

The myth of " BEST EVER or LONGEST EVER"?
Saying your new gear is the longest ever or the best ever is a fleeting statement, because just around the corner is the next longest and best ever. We all look for the next great thing to make the game easier and more fun, those of us in the JDM world also love the gear we are tinkers and enjoy collecting and trying new things. So we continue to search for the HOLY GRAIL and love every moment of it.

Thanks. That is an insert added into the putter to serve as a spacer to the back weight and offer some visual cues to the ball and your line.

S-yard GT-S irons....any reviews??
I have a set of these with Modus Stiff shafts. Play them from time to time. Set overall is, good ball flight with this setup is slightly on the high side. They play long compared to the VG3 and Romaro V's. Very nice statin finish. Slight offset and thicker topline then most players irons. These are best for the handicapper not ready for blades but doesn't want the full offest and thickness of game improvement irons. Overall I do like these irons.

Member Introduction Thread - Say hello and tell us about yourself!
Gents I was born in India and moved to Toronto when I was 6years old. After graduating from the University of Toronto, I moved to Ohio to go to Dental School and then settled in Mass. Live about 30 mins north of Boston with my wife and 3 kids. Came into golf about 20 years ago and was crazy about the sport right away. Worked hard to get down to a single digit index. But as luck would have I injured my left knee in a freak golf accident about 5 years ago. After my knee was put back together, I had lost my swing. The game became very difficult and at times thought about quitting. My son(13 years old) who is an avid golfer kept me going. Even though I am a double digit player now I really enjoy the game again. JDM equipment is for the golf enthusiast in me, You get high quality clubs that live up to my high standards. It is scary how addicted you can get to all the wonderful JDM gear there is. I am very happy to have found TSG and all it's members.

Official TRPX Drivers and Shafts Review Thread
Hi Mob That was the Killington Grand Resort Course. It is on the property with the hotel. There are several other courses in the area to play but this one is the nicest. This time of year is the best since most of the trees have changed color. Course is very nice not too many amenities but the golf is good. Mountain Golf is always a challenge but fun.

Your dream set of Kobayashi Irons.....
That's too bad. They really do put out good products. Goes to the old thought that a good product is killed by poor management .

Arthur Honestly between playing well and the course looking like it did I may have been in heaven. Couldn't ask for any better. My son and I beat the pants off the guys we were paired with each day. Gotta love it.

Official TRPX Drivers and Shafts Review Thread
The course was beautiful, couldn't believe the colors. The Shaft is very smooth. My issue usually is when I over swing I push the ball left, with this combo I haven't seen that, if anything the ball plays a cut, starting down the left side cutting back to the middle. If I take a smooth easy swing the ball goes dead straight. The T.388 with the stock shaft was very straight for me. The shaft felt heavy and stout even though it was the SR. The Messenger shaft is much smoother shaft that seems to be very automatic in delivering the club head back to square. I am considering putting it into the ptune head that I have to see how it would preform. To early to make this statement fact but this maybe the easiest to hit shaft I have every tried.
