  1. I had the 2013 Romaro V type R irons for about half the season last summer. They are very soft irons with a great feel at impact. They are very forgiving. The distance was average in my mind, even though the hybrids are extremely long compared with other JDM hybrids. Great looks. For me the ball was on the high side but that may have had more to do with the Tour AD iron shafts that were installed. Overall they are a very good set of irons, that give the player forgiveness with exceptional feel and looks.
  2. Congrats man!! Twins make life wonderful. My Boy-Girl twins are now 14!! Life is a great with kids! Enjoy
  3. Glad you found gear that works for you. It is a lot of fun trying new things and tinkering with the bag. The Romaro makes an awesome UT.
  4. I have found that at times we are conditioned to stick with one brand across a wedge line up in our bag. What has worked for me is finding the wedge that works for the conditions I play in, and the ones that compliment my other irons. That usually means that I may carry a 52 from one brand and a 56 or 58 from another. This way I can find the bounce that works with the type of shot I may need to pull off. On my recent golf trip, I used the 52 Buchi wedge on a links course as the only wedge I used all day. The bounce on this wedge was ground for conditions that produced tight lies. So again I did not follow the conventional wedge make up, but rather a set-up for the conditions I was playing. Getting the right bounce and balance in the wedge are the two most important factors for me. I think finding the right wedge comes from trying many wedges and finding the ones that work best for you. Once you are comfortable with a particular bounce and degree combo you can have custom grind wedges done to recreate or modify a setup that works. The Buchi wedges I have have very specific grinds and bounce to them per my requirements, and they have worked very well.
  5. Richard thanks. The whole family was glad to get away from the snow and cold.
  6. Craig My home course is slated to open on April 5th. I don't think that will happen given that I have 2feet of snow in my back yard.
  7. Grand cyprus was a lot of fun. My son and I both played very well there and really enjoyed the variety of shots needed on the New Course. Try to get out early as it can back up in the afternoon. We teed off at 8:15 and were done in 3 hours 45 mins. Didn't need driver as the ball would run a lot ,used 3wood off the tee. The ritz is top notch. Great facility. Excellent staff. My son played for free. Course is fun with some nice tight fairways. When we played there was nobody else on the course. A lot of people skip this course due to cost, but it is worth it. If you get a chance play the Waldorf course. Great course. Long from the tips and challenging with all the water in play. It is a Resse Jones course. The weather here in Mass is just crap. Getting away was for sanity sake.
  8. Gents Just returned from several days of golf and sun in Florida. Weather was awesome the family had a great time. We left Massachusetts when the temp was 7 degrees Fahrenheit and landed in Orlando where the temp was 77 degrees. My son and I played 3 rounds over 5 days and had a great time. We played the Waldorf Astoria course, The Grand Cyprus New Course and the Ritz Carlton Course. Just fabulous to be able to play golf in February. Those of you that can play golf all year round are truly lucky. I have posted some pics and the last picture is of our house the day we returned.
  9. I have used the Bag Boy Quad this past season. It folds up very neatly. Extremely easy to move especially in hilly areas. Holds a cart bag without any issue. I used a cart bag for part of the season with it and had no issues..

Hey guys Just had two rounds with these wedges. In Florida at the moment with the family. My son and I have played twice so far. These wedges in short are worth the wait. I was very impressed with the playability of these wedges. In my hands the feel at contact was very soft. Good amount of spin. Very versatile, easy to play the bump and run and also equally easy to fly to the pin and have the ball stick. I know that sounds crazy but that is what i found after these two rounds. The first round was on a lush course with raised greens that required a high arching shot that stopped on a dime. Second round on a links style course that required a bump and run type of play on to the greens. Here is where these wedges were unbelievable, I saved par many times thanks to running the ball up to the pin and having it stop at a "gimme" distance. Very happy so far, will post a more in depth review when I get back home over the weekend.
  13. Art Love the clean surgical look to the putter.

Chris you have me intrigued. Can't wait to find out what you are working on.
  16. 80-85 grams would be perfect.
  17. I would be up for that especially if we can get a heavier weight shaft.
  18. . I have the 101's and Stew is correct they are perfect when it comes to feel. Great look and playability.
  19. Tim Course looks great. My freezing butt is very jealous. Thanks for posting.

I currently have the 2007's they are fantastic irons great feel and look. Slightly more forgiving then the 1007's. Thin top line and forgiveness is a great combo for most of us.
  21. Glad you found something that works. Frank is quite the character and has a great releationship with mr Miura.
