  1. Good input. Actually a good question if framed that way. But I think you are making more of a statement.…Have you had both in hand.? This means you are calling whoever made the original statement a liar? I’m fine with that if it’s a statement based on true fact. Just the same as the original review, I'm fine with that if the author has had both in hand. Trying to describe offset is difficult. Would minimal offset have been a better term? This is the problem I mentioned. There are actually full reviews on kyoei in the shop, blog and Insta. Chris is good at what he wants to promote on his various outlets as mentioned….. But, bingo…. No reviews you have critics, lots of reviews, critics just the same.... You can’t keep everyone happy all of the time. Hence this forum, to discuss and debate. Those discussions and debates should be based on questions and answers! Not statements without substance, not as you say to the eye of a picture as everyone can see. That is a bit like your offset point. Wishy washy at best….Has anyone here gamed or had both of these Irons in hand? I have no comment on them as I have owned neither. I could discuss aesthetics and materials based on the pictures and reviews. I wouldn’t mind trying kyoei at some point. They definitely look well made.
  2. Purchase Epon. (Endo) ! Put Tario in as GM Its swapped hands a few times over the last few years. Great brand. Poor direction. TSG is similar. Great Brand. Average direction. If I had to write a report it would start with. Has potential, not lacking in ability. Easily distracted.!
  3. You mean the quacks. Just close your eyes mate and visualise.
  4. Thanks Nobs. It does sound good. Look good. Feel good. Isn't the old saying.....If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck...? Might have to pull the trigger.
  5. Hey Nobs. 115 are good mate. How’s that Cally 3w…First time for ages I have looked at a US brand 3w and really liked how it sits/looks at address. I have a max q fairway shaft I was thinking of sticking in one and giving a go.
  6. Nothing mate....Sounds like you have it all worked out.
  7. Sounds like fun mate. Nothing better than a good time with your kids. Yes she just picked up a trailer to go tramping around the UK. Something I did many moons ago. The UK has some great spots from honey pot lane to pirates of Penzance. I never did GC only Tenariffe and Ibiza. I lived in Spain for a while, great for my golf game. Marbella has some special courses. I’m from Hexham and played Slaley Hall a few times. Another great course.!
  8. I’m gaming the CBI 80 limited. Around 110 in X. They are based on the stiff flex at 100g…..The best graphite shaft I have used.!….These love a punch type attack of the ball. Hands forward. Give it to the ball. These are a swing my swing jam in at the ball type shaft. If you think you are a modus 125, rifle 6.5. Shimada tour. These are the graphite for you. I’m gaming the previous version of the current model in the pro shop with the 14 limited. Strong lofts but I have no problem with that. 14 heads are a unusual type soft, we usually judge everything by Epon frozen butter. My opinion of these is Benock putter type soft. Very distinctive. Addictive. With these shafts? First time I will game and iron for more than 6 months. 🦆
  9. Mate I remember everything. Sure you were looking at the 101 at some point. Not sure you are doing yourself justice with that. I still love using my 4.6. HVe you used one lately.? Fark it’s such an addictive driver.
  10. Either way, lots to say about why and how. But this is not the forum for that. How was the night Ian? Few beers and euro. Lol. What was that euro show we used to get on Chanel 4. f**king funny! My oldest daughter is in the UK. Just got her first trailer. Loving life.
  11. Maybe you didn’t pick them up. 😊 Have to say though… These older irons are pretty darnn close to the current offering.!
  12. You had a set of KP-101 way back Ian if I remember rightly. Thinking of picking a set up or already have.? They look nice. Forgiving. Could be a bit bouncy in dry conditions with the wide sole. Unless the leading edge has be killed.
  13. Bottom line is we are all missing the reviews and pics.
  14. I wonder if it translates the same to how may other languages TSG sells to ? I guess you cant please everybody everywhere all the time. Especially if the the original version of the website is Japanese based? Or written by someone who is Japanese, then translated to all the other languages in the world. Is this a Japanese based website for Japanese based gear? That is an outrage...lol
  15. Everything limited but the glue on this set…inc the Ferrules that came with the heads.🤓
  16. In play today up against the 22 Corsa with modus 115. Only used the 5 Iron in the Corsa so not a full test of those. 1st thoughts on the Fourteen with Crazy CBI in X 110g range are positive. Playability wise the shafts sit IMO in between Shimada tour lite and the Shimada tour. Feel is better. Timing will take a few rounds adjustments. But a great matchup all the same. 14 heads are very easy to use..looks at address are minimum offset with nice top line. Sort of narrow in the neck of the face, look a touch longer heel to toe a bit like the Epon SUS. Feel on these is great. They are a really well balanced head, the lofts have only added around 5m extra on each club comparing with a CB…... Corsa will be getting listed in the BST. 14/Crazy just gets the nod for 22 set.
  17. I also found the Zodia a touch firm in the irons. Dense but clicky noise which related to the feel.
  18. It was like any economy. New buyers passed on to used buyers. The good thing was you knew if you purchased new from TSG you always had a buyer at around 25% less if sold quick enough. I was always a bit of both and still am. Only difference is my forum for selling has changed along with my options for buying. Non the less. This forums reviews and nice pics did make me get hot on certain items. They did there job. Tario did well out of the forum I would say given the good margins TSG have on most gear. I would say the shop/site sells plenty globally. It’s got quite a large audience with limited JDM retailers to compete 🌏 This forum is/was a microcosm in the TSG global sales portfolio wholesale and retail.! Having said that as already mentioned, there is a market for a self sustaining manager who likes using all the gear and writing reviews. 🤔 A Mark Crossfield type for JDM.?
