  1. Having gone through the online fitting, the anticipation, seeing the quality product/box/case after and hitting it and seeing/feeling/experiencing exactly what I was looking for, I think this is a spectacular deal for what you get and the quality product you receive. Most other high-end shafts approach this vicinity in price (think the Matrix TP7HD, etc) and for a tad more, they don't just send you a shaft that beats those in material but is fitted for you. I am still in my honeymoon phase with mine but we are getting along great ;) I was previously playing an Epon Zero with a Crazy LY01 6.9 shaft (my backup now). Its long and very anti-left. On holes that I needed a small fade to a power fade, I was great. On holes that needed opposite movement, not so great. The Zero also had a good penetrating trajectory but in anything but drier fairways was going to get stuck. I wanted something higher, more workability (left and right) with a default shot of a small draw. Answered a handful of questions, hoped and got exactly what I was looking for.
  2. Epon Zero sold, thanks N!
  3. Early honeymoon feedback: The Modart D head is spectacular (that I know - feels great, forgiving, long). The shaft is also equally amazing. I am coming from an Epon Zero (anti-left, really anti-left). My normal shot with the Zero is a medium fade but I have a very tough time hitting anything from a small draw to a big one with it. The Seven Dreamers has a nice kick to hit, higher trajectory (which I wanted), can work it left and right, and my normal shot with this head is a small draw (which I wanted). So far, so good. Hit some of my longest driving range drives with it today (again, need to take it on the course and it is in the honeymoon phase). Excited!
  4. Not sure. If you are interested I can take it somewhere to get measured. I bought brand new and unaltered from a local authentic Epon dealer and didn't alter myself, so it should be factory standard.
  5. 130s and Crazy Utility shaft sold!!!! Thanks R and S!
  6. Modart D + Seven Dreamers + Own Seven Dreamers Driver Bag!?! (Might need to name him edward Craig ;)
  7. Thanks everyone!!!! Nippon Modus3 Tour 120s sold...
  8. *** Not looking for trades *** RARE Epon Zen Putter. Mint condition, never used in a round, rolled some on carpet. Comes with headcover and Epon box (box is a little damaged from shipping). Putter is perfect, hard to find in this condition - $old net (shipping not included)
  9. Well, at least you have a nickname for the set now ;) I am sure these will play great but if not, given they are not personalized, they might be a lot easier to offload to us other TSGers ;) I am eager to hear the comparison to the 316s...
  10. Well, went to a "big box" store today and grabbed the new Callaway Apex Pro irons to test out the KBS Tour-V shaft. I grabbed the Titleist MB with the KBS Tour shaft and brought in my newly shafted SUS-316s with the Tour 130s (stiff). The 130s are too heavy for my liking, so they will probably go within days. The launch monitor was crap, so spin numbers had to just be relative (i.e. with the KBS Tour and Tour 130s, my 6i swing speed of 80 lead to backspin of around 4800 - too low to be realistic). They launched around 14.5-15.5* respectively. The Tour-V dropped my spin to <4k rpm (again, all relative as their LM was unrealistic). The feel was very similar to the KBS Tour but you can feel the tighter tip/mid section. Not sure if I am ready to jump on it, but I did like it more than the regular version. The 130s, despite being heavier actually held their own (highest launch but similar spin to the KBS Tour). Next up, the Nippon Proto STs. I have the C-Taper Lites in my Personals and do like those, though the Personals with the weak lofts and C-Taper Lite spin lead to about a full club length lost in distance compared to the 316s (if not 1.5 clubs).
  11. Wow, beautiful. Good lord those are gorgeous. Can't wait to read the write-up!
  12. Heck, why not, a 64 fits my wedge gap and I have never tried one before. Might as well throw my hat in the ring, will get one as well if they are willing to go there :)

Craig, any verdict yet, do you have it in your hands or still eagerly waiting ;)?
  14. sbeaz, does the KBS Tour-V feel very similar to the regular KBS Tour? Same flight, just a little more mid-stiff to knock down the spin?
  15. Chris, any comparison to the custom wedges you have gamed (feel, grind, etc) to the Suda-san custom wedges?
  16. Very smart move. The stiffs are definitely stiff...
  17. Wow.... Wow.... Such a piece of art
  18. Exactly :) The C-Taper Lites have such a better feel to them, just too bad they spin that much more. The regular C-Tapers will make your teeth rattle on mis*its :)
  19. I agree with chiromikey. The C-Taper Lites add spin for me and balloon more. Be aware, the C-Tapers have a VERY unique feel to them. I believe the Adams Idea CMB irons have the C-Tapers as the stock shafts, so might be worth just grabbing a demo off a shelf at a big box store and giving it a swing on a LM to see if the shaft feels right to you? 20. When I played regular C-Tapers, they DEFINITELY brought down the flight and it was absolutely less spin and more penetrating (for my game, I need a little height in my irons). The C-Taper Lites feel better (IMO) but they do spin more and are less penetrating in the wind (so far - only 1.5 weeks with them).
  21. I also could just go for the 1150ghs which I hear are great.
  22. I have the C-Taper Lites in my Personals (for about 1.5 weeks now). I love the feel and trajectory, but they spin a tad more than I would like and unfortunately (for me) are not great wind shafts. I am not removing them though until I find something better. The KBS Tour V is definitely interesting and on my list to try, same with the SPO as it seems to have similar weight and characteristics of the Tour, maybe a little more mid stiff? I was able to grab an uncut set of Prototype STs last night, so will give those a try. The weight though on them concern me a tad (sub 110g)?
  23. What are the bend profiles on the ST protos? Are they similar to the Tour 120s or more traditional (i.e. think butt stiff, tip softer but not as boardy/heavy as the 130s)? Sorry, new to all of this Nippon Proto game ;) I am looking for something that isn't as tip stiff as the Tour 120s, not as heavy or overall stiff as the 130s, similar to KBS Tours but a little tighter but still a smooth shaft that spins a little less.
  24. I like the round and clean look. That offset though would kill it for me. I wonder if someone can get some comparison photos next to the 302 or older Personals sometime to compare size and offset, etc.

Such a great fairway wood and seller here. Good price too. GLWS!
