TSG Club Works Finishes Now Available!

I like this quote here: "When is rust not rust, when is it a patina? When you go to sell it." Both rust and patina are an oxide of iron but yes I do understand the difference in look, rust is orange and crusty looking, patina many consider to be a more brown uniform look. IMO it's a patina, I will try to advance the rusting process by getting it wet and leaving it outside. -

Yes much worse than the Yururi Raws. These rust sitting on a table with even the smallest amount of humidity in the air. -

Each will change the feel at impact differently, it's gonna take time for people to try different things and report to the forums, one thing is each of these are all golf specific finishes at golf specific refinishers, we are not using automotive refinishers etc.. dis fo golf. -
TSG Club Works Finishes Now Available!

Thanks guys, they are not perfect but they are the best aftermarket finishes I know of anywhere. The best finishes durability wise are Chrome and Satin and both are beautiful. Copper Satin - While sexy is not suggested it will rust quickly and easily. Copper Mirror - looks great after wear and rusts slower than the copper satin. (if you like wear) Soft Black - will wear, my favorite looking finish. Teflon Satin - should wear, this finish looks amazing. Satin Boron - still testing. I really like Soft Black and Satin Boron, we will post pics in the future as they wear, each finish should provide a distinct feel from one another. After we redo your custom color paint fill and assembly we spray with sword oil and wrap each head and neck and grip in shrink wrap to avoid wear. It's 75-100per head + shipping for us to remove very light dings, strip the finish, refinish, new paint fill, and send back. If there is a significant defect in finish TSG refinishes the head again on our dime before sending it to you. These are not 100% perfect finishes, but they are golf specific and amongst the best found anywhere in the world. Not every iron can be refinished (well), it's often based on design and material. -
Glad to announce that TSG now offers a pretty extensive range of refinishing options 100% done in Japan. We also offer custom build assembly, exotic paint fill, upgrade ferrules, upgrade grips, and removal of small dings and dents. The prices are fair considering the work and transport to complete a set properly. We only use the best finishing factories found in Japan. If you have a set of irons needing a refresh or just like to tweak your gear you can email me at [email protected] for a quote. At this point It's all custom quote until we list prices later. The one that fits you best. They are both cool, they are both made well. I can see how both can fit you. No complaints from the TP-V yet, naturally the FEX out longer we hear many reviews. If your concern is the FEX is made of better materials but the TPV is newer or maybe a better design I understand that, my first thoughts as well and my best guess is the fex has a bit better materials while the TPV relies more on design.. but then again all that matters is how it melds with your swing. After your shaft arrives keep it sorta long, if needed tip & shorten, experiment and learn it really well, adjust your tempo and strength etc. to see what works best.

A full length 80T shaft is very difficult to make feel good, yes boardy is a good word for it. Also keep in mind that not all carbon is the same, I can find 40T that is quadruple the price of 80T now days from China.

RIP TourStage... Bridgestone has taken over as the global brand unifying all labels and regions as one. While I can understand the logic and business reasoning in this move I am really wondering will the focus become more marketing based rather than material, manufacturing, and technology based? This is the last known release by TourStage, The X-Drive GR Blue, it's really the same as the standard GR just a limited edition model with only 1000 pieces made. It's got blue graphics a custom blue PT-6 shaft and matching blue grip + cover. Only produced in one loft of 9.5 and no other options. This is the most used driver among TourStage sponsored professional golfers before the brand phased out, in fact most of the JLPGA players are still using it even with access to the latest Bridgestone gear. It's made mostly of 6AL-4V titanium and it's best tech is what they call the power slit which is a softer area on the top crown torward the face that flexes and expands causing a launch effect which creates a higher more powerful launch. Just because it says GR don't think it's for the mid capper, + handicap players love this club, teamed with the Tour AD PT-6 it produces a very strong trajectory, the PT-6 has a stiffer butt section and softer tip to produce higher launching less ballooning drives.

2014 Gold's Factory Live Free or Die Putter
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
the "Live Free or Die" Putter which takes the spot of the "Independence" putter. So what is this putter exactly? Based on the Gold's Factory GF00A model it's head weight as seen in the pictures is 363 grams, the weight get's a bump with help from two 17mm tungsten ingots located on the sole, 71.5* lie and an optimal loft of 5* for this design. The face features Master Sasaya's very own Next Gen PZ milling and it's rolls beautifully, it feels sublime, and the overall weight and simplicity makes this putter the total package. Now let's get into the history of it's markings... Live Free or Die - From Wiki: The phrase comes from a toast written by General John Stark, New Hampshire's most famous soldier of the American Revolutionary War, on July 31, 1809. Poor health forced Stark to decline an invitation to an anniversary reunion of the Battle of Bennington. Instead, he sent his toast by letter: "Live free or die: Death is not the worst of evils." Stark may not have been the original author of the phrase. Vivre Libre ou Mourir ("Live free or die") was a popular motto of the French Revolution. Dont Tread on Me - From Wiki: The Gadsden flag is a historical American flag with a yellow field depicting a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned below the rattlesnake are the words "Don't tread on me". The flag is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden (1724–1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. Est 1776 - From Wiki: This year is celebrated in the United States as the official beginning of its nationhood, with the Declaration of Independence issued on July 4. -
N.S Pro Modus3 System3 Tour 125 Shafts
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The 130 while slightly heavier has a get up faster and rounder more arc'd in trajectory The 120 has a slightly more penetrating trajectory with more roll than the 130, lighter, friendlier. The 125 I've not hit but it should be like the C-Taper in this family. lower trajectory, ideal weight, in between the 120 & 130 as far as trajectory goes. Just my guess for now, would love to have all 3 in the same head on the LM. -

+ 1 on Modart for me as well, distance control, accuracy, ease of use and ability to make good contact with makes it my top choice. Ryoma for flat out forgiveness and big distance but making clean contact is more difficult than modart imo.
