please Chris tell us about the upcoming gauge jpn GFT-1
TourSpecGolfer replied to sunshine8's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The GFT is a new series including 2 drivers, a new fairway wood and a utility wood. The drivers will be 420 and 460cc heads with adjustable screws. same style screws srixon uses. There will only be a wrench and extra available screws for tour players. the GFT fairway wood is steel not titanium. All of these will have every shaft option under the sun available installed. -

Scratch 3X Black Tour Blades w/ SCRATCH script!
TourSpecGolfer replied to FairwayFred's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Holy Smokes! The shape is unreal and I bet they feel very soft at impact as does most of your product. I suggest you order more of those heads with that stamping. Do you have any extra wedge heads like that sitting around? If so lets do me 2 wedges in that picker grind you mentioned to me. same finish silver paintfill. -
Here are my suggestions: Srixon W505 X-Drive 435...coming december Callaway X-18 Taylormade R7XR Tourstage ViQ 450 Chris- Is the W505 square or, as I fear, a little shut? Jeff Its shut .5 but could be ordered square. Although I have ordered a couple square and they have arived .5 closed

Thats great to hear deman! I love Axiv shafts also. found extra carry and overall distance added to my drives. Chris, Any experience with the 6064M with Nike Ignite+ DFI 9.5* Thanks. Not in a DFI, I have had it in the ERC HOT, R7XR, W505,PRGR TR-X, Cleveland Comp and R7. For me the best results were with the TR-X and some lead tape. It had a wicked strong kick and the flight had a double launch to it :surprize: up, up, then at its peak another spin upward. Axivs are awesome shafts if you can find a flex or tipping that suits your swing properly.

Which conforming import drivers are the best?
TourSpecGolfer replied to matt411's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Matt I am going to take a guess that you want a square face driver that plays to a true loft with a 400+cc head that feels unreal solid and is USGA conforming... :smile2:....am I right? X-Drive 435cc due out December 20th with a bunch of amazing shaft options. **Important** remember it will play true to loft and you probobly havent had many drivers that do being that almost every driver put out in the U.S and Asia are jacked up. I will be going for the 10.5 XD435 with Diamana red M63. How awesome is that a 10.5 true loft square face driver, although .5 closed is better for my driving accuracy. -
Good review robbie, some shafts just work for some and not for others. A lot of these guys will spill a killer review to justify for the amount they spent on that shaft. I would pay 1k in a heartbeat to get 20 yards more and straighter all day, but it looks like It may not be the shaft for me being that your a slightly better player than I. I am curious to as what you liked about the 771 vs the Axiv. Also drop me a PM, I would like to sell you a Diamana Red at a very low price so we can hear your comparison on that.

That is not true, Diamana has been around in Japan quite a while before it hit the U.S. These shafts are made and were designed in Japan for all golfers in general.
-
It is non conforming. face angle is .5 closed it features a carbon crown where the X460 does not. I have these for cheap with just about any shaft if you need one.

Only played one round with it yesterday, and it could be the first date/honeymoon syndrome but my first impression is that this shaft kicks major butt! I noticed it has a different trajectory than the blue version, It doesnt balloon as much, It gets up quicker and keeps raising then levels out where the blue goes up a bit slower and keeps shootin up. Another way to explain it is in steel terms. The NS950 goes up and up and is fairly easy to balloon but the NS1150 flattens out at its peak yet still gets up quick. Im really liking this shaft, its giving me a few more yards carry and it is very easy to hit. The customers who pre-ordered these should have got them today or yesterday, there were quite a few so guys please chime in as soon as you have had your initial tests. I have only a couple M63 & M73's in stiff left so if you guys want them jump on it quick there will be a short delay after the initial run is sold out.

I play my first round with it today and will let you know.

IMO The only REAL tour Tourstage Irons are made for Japanese players, with adjusted offset, topline, sole and different shapes at the players request. The others are retail models played by a pro. Sometimes the tour van will put serial #s on it to track free equipment so players dont take advantage. What I call the real Tourstage tour sets are made in Japan instead of Endo. I see on ebay and other forums all kinds of sets said to be tour bridgestone and sometimes tourstage. If the only thing that makes it tour is a stamping or serial # or the fact that a tour player used it, I wouldnt pay much attention to it. If it is different in design, finish, or technology then there is somthing worth looking into. If a tour player uses a retail set, it magically becomes tour issue. That could be hooters tour, cleveland tour, spanos tour, or any tour for that matter. We should offer a service where people send their retail sets in, we have a tour player hit it for a round and bingo! you got yourself a tour set of clubs.

Oh My GOD!!!.....A New XXIO Driver!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
  Chris this may be a really silly question, however why do the high end manufacturers persist with closed faces, when the high end consumer, in most cases, want them dead square? XXIO is for slower swingers while Srixon is for the better player. That being said, I will still get me the XXIO and perhaps ask joe if he can adjust the face angle to .5 closed. I think I can also special orders these square but dont quote me on that. Srixon allows me that option. -
Oh My GOD!!!.....A New XXIO Driver!
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
This club will not be out until april 2006. The 432 version is conforming while the 460 is high C.O.R. This I must try. I just hope I can find one with not too closed of a face. -
My guess was XXIO was going to shut down due to no new releases since 2004, and now I see this... What I learned today is XXIO only puts out new clubs once every 2 years! There will be new irons, fairway woods, drivers, wedges and putters. Here are first pics of the new driver there will be 2 versions the 432cc and 460cc spec.
-
Its a solid driver and IMO better than anything released by Bridgestone currently. It has a square face and plays true to loft, it is USGA conforming, and at impact feels awesome. I would suggest waiting for the 435cc version coming december. You can pre order it in the catalog now to insure you get the first batch.

hey X-R, Take your new GAS1 Forged wedges to the range and dull out the grooves for 1 large bucket, after you get a little more play and a tad of rust they will provide the happy medium of spin for you. Brand new out of the wraps these will destroy balls.

I MUST use the new drool smiley for this one:

Aloha all! Would a Fuji 661 TS be good for a hybrid???
TourSpecGolfer replied to alohano's topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Is the 200I a driving iron or wood type? both ways I would actually suggest NS850 or 950. the 661 could be good, I would suggest tipping it for a tighter dispersion. If not we all know its great in a driver! -
