All yours! I've got my Tour Del Mar 3.5, 350g., 34.5", 3XB SSS... He says all yours but behind the scenes hes asking..lol :laugh: :spit: It should be about 1200.00 shipped or a tad less, The teflon finish is up in the air but tottaly possible, I am not sure how the black would look with millings, What do you guys think? I could have several sets in black with milling about 2 weeks after release. They are not an actual satin finish, not sure what they are really but the story behind it is the black ones are double baked which makes the finish way more durable but makes the forged head feel harder almost vokey like. The satin looking finish will rust pretty quick yet a little vinigar and oil will take it right off, it feels much much softer than the black. Many GAS1's are on the JPGA tour now and getting great results, its a great design and gauge also has a satin Studio wedge that has a very cool head shape and grind, I will post pics of the proto later this week.

I will be ordering a few with no milling marks and several in black teflon IF the samples look good that way. It will be up on ebay with no reserve next week :spit: Im not sure how different the G-Field Irons will be, they will be the same platform just a different look, logo, and price. The release should be december 04. The J.A.T style head has no name on it the sole says gauge design, yellow and white paintfill has been added with a mid size yellow Ion grip and it looks amazing, very soft feel due to the mill marks, only a handfull are hand made the others will look exactly the same but done by machine. I will have more pics when I pay my HUGE tab to U.S customs and they release it to me :wah: I also just put a Z-COM TW84 into my GAF1 5 wood and its a gem, not sure if its longer than the HK80 combo but it sure is straighter.

Here is another pic of the MB Topline. on the left is the proto CB on the right proto MB. The offset is less than the CB's and I may get flamed for this answer but myself and many of the JPN manufacturers sorta think that the U.S high end niche buyer has no clue what they are looking for. Yes I am talking about the majority of TSG'rs and BSG'rs and for several reasons. If you take a look at what us club ho's want it makes no sense to play the majority of the stuff we buy, We are looking at the PGA tour players and mimicking their specs when in reality many of the pro's don't know much about their own equipment. We all know technology on Irons is pretty much maxed out, its steel on a shaft basically and if you look at the amount of players on the JPGA using big offset thick top line irons its a tad bit shocking when compared to the U.S tour, I hear so many asking for 1-2 degree open faces, offset requests down to the point etc and often think to myself, do they really think it will improve their skills or ball striking, distance control etc. because there is a huge chance these type of specs will hurt your game more than anything unless your a good amateur or pro. I don't know how we all got to the assumptions that no offset and a tiny top line is better and very often i hear members say things like " to much offset for me, I couldn't stand looking at it " or "The top line is too thick, I could never hit it". We are the only ones besides pro's who act this way. The club maniacs in Japan don't talk like that they just play what works best and I honestly doubt no offset and a tiny top line works best for the majority of our members here. On that note many of us don't even need stiff flex or low torque heavy shafts. Everyone has a preference and thats great but if we look at precentages, it makes no sense to build an Iron that only scratch hcp's and better SHOULD be playing. One big trend in Japan now is very forgiving blades like the Fourteens, MP33's, Gold's Factory, On OFF, PRGR and now the new GD MB's, they have a lower center of gravity and better sole design for the average golfer. The progression makes the long irons look similar to driving irons keeping the C.O.G lower getting the ball up easier ( not necessarily higher as many of us would think ) These blades offer something that has some give rather than take. A club is a club, we still gotta make contact and get it in the hole and IMHO a vast majority of us are not absolutely clear about what we like. I see that we all think no offset and a paper thin top line is cool because the pro's play them and that is not the best reason for a selection. I am an average golfer, I learned an open face doesn't work well for my swing, I learned a tipped Reg flex that loads easy is what I should play, I learned 80g FW shafts improve my ball contact, I learned a 33" putter and 70 degree lie angle is best for me even if im 6ft tall, I learned a tiny grip helps me on faster greens, I learned 340 - 350g heads are best for making putts even if the stroke don't feel as clean as a 360 - 370g heads, I learned offset makes me more comfortable and a super thin top line makes me nervous and less confident. I used to buy Tour Issue open face drivers with 70 - 90g S - X flex shafts tipped, No offset Irons with tiny top lines, wedges with a huge killed trailing edge etc etc and then I woke up and thought to myself why am I playing this stuff when its obvious I would do much better without the Tour/Pro spec equipment. If you remain completely honest with yourself and select your clubs by they way they perform rather than how " PRO " they setup I think we would all save a few strokes and learn more about our swings at a faster rate.

I play the custom MP-27s now but prior to this had some GD Irons, The GD Irons were easier to hit with a very different feel, softer than the MP-27s which does not neccesarly mean better, they both just have their own characteristics. I am playing the MP27s now with good results they may not be as forgiving but the MP's are very straight and accurate for me. Any way you go you will be a happy man, if you go custom mizunos people will stare down your clubs more often. I also just hit the new 2005 GD Blade and it dont look that pretty but it performs like a CB tottaly, super forgiving :surprize: IMO more forgiving than the MP-27s even for an MB. I will be posting pics by the end of the day.

The model to replace the V series ( V36 & V40 ) is the ViQ series. The V series irons were famous for turbo rubber and the Driver for being one of the first adjustable tungsten weight drivers, about a year before TM. Good club .5 closed but nor the ViQ or V36 had that beautiful head shape I was looking for. X-Drive is for the low single digit to scratch player ViQ is for the average player semi game improvement Beam series is the affordable mega game improvement and Access is for the ultra rich honma loving type player Hope this helps some.

On OFF has a fancy prestigious style here in japan, My uncle is sponsored by On OFF and let me hit his 375cc conforming driver. It felt hotter than the average face. On OFF makes some good equipment but not much for the better player except the blades. Just last month they released some great looking wedges.

On the Horizon, we have the Fourteen Type 1 coming out that looks very player, It was the same version Maru and Els used last year for a short period. I suggest the TM driving Iron cause its ball flight in S300 and how its the easiest to hit driving Iron I have ever laid my hands on. X-Club is good too, a handful still use them on the JPGA, usually older guys but I'm not sure if i consider it an Iron, it felt woodsy when i hit it, could it be a utility wood? :-D

What do you guys think about having the B/S/T posts in the scrolling latest posts block, If bumps are fair game that is all we will see. :) There will be image hosting for B/S/T products as well as a block on the right ( home page ) showing the B/S/T featured product pics. Featured products are the B/S/T listings from our paying TSG'ers of the up coming members area. As soon as the contest is over expect many many changes to your community.

I'm experimenting with keeping all the forums on the most recent posts box in the main page including the B/S/T. If this is the case we will need to clean up the TSG B/S/T to avoid misuse of it. I'm asking the members for fair suggestions about what should and shouldn't be allowed in the B/S/T so that we can make some easy to follow rules that will create a more healthy selling environment. The most important rules IMO are: no bumping and delete your thread when the item is sold. Do you guys consider a reply of PM sent a bump? Lets get together and make some rules before the certified seller form is set up and lets make the TSG B/S/T a friendly and fun method of selling items. I am open to all suggestions in this thread.

I found the NS Pro 850's to be my savior. If the head is heavy go with this shaft, it is a great combo for touch and feel around the greens.

I think there is a little to much attention to where the club is made or forged, China makes great forgings as does the U.S.A and Japan and to ask someone to compare the forging, I suggest a scientist over me. to compare the feel is so subjective because its all about the shaft, grip, and vibration up the shaft that the forged head gives off. IMO 1018 is too soft and that 1020 or 25 would be optimal, If you like hard go cast or SS303. Just last week I thought mizuno Irons were forged near Cambodia somewhere and recently found out they were forged and assembled in Japan, that didn't change the way they performed one bit. What I don't want is to turn the " Made in Japan" thing into a Tour Issue or Prototype semi deceptive selling point.

They are out in Japan for quite a while, at 250.00 but the U.S should be 160.00 in a month or so.

I am not able to special order offset or topline or custom grinds, let me just make that clear before i get a dozen PM's asking for no offset Irons.

Sorry to bum you guys but Ishihara isn't a forgery, Mr Ishihara is hand grind specialist and the forged heads are purchased from himeji. I am talking to ARIC extensively on his best of the best set and I found out in my research that many of the MOZ wedges have grandpa grinds, I'm talking some wedges with 13* and 16* bounce like the 515's. Also tour feedback is the steel is way to soft at 1018 and my buddies on the J-tour claim the wedges feel great and perform well but don't last half a season with the amount they practice. That shouldn't be a problem for you guys you only keep wedges for 3 weeks anyway :spit: I highly reccomend Mizuno wedges over Zodia, MOZ, Hiro and just about anything else, perhaps a tie with the maru or X-wedges.

Id like to make it clear I do not carry U.S Tourstage products. Only Japanese gear.
