  1. This woman, everyone has tried to hire her and her best friend ( a man ) not married to eachother just long time friends from work, these two stay together and do their best work together. The company that has landed this duo is lucky as money alone could not acquire them, all the top shaft brands have tried but bottom line is if you have these two as part of your team your making damn good shafts no matter what. They are responsible for the best years of so many shaft companies it's ridiculous. The PGA Tour Players and most JPGA tour players know nothing of them, the executives at the U.S subsidiary's of the world's best shaft companies are not privy to this history, this stuff runs deep and part of the DNA of JDM land. While much of Japan drives me up the wall at the same time so much more mystify's me, the culture has created their greatness as well as their downfalls but that goes for everyone on this tiny planet no matter where we lay. How does the old man sweeping the gutter get up at 3am press his clothes, wear white gloves keeping them spotless throughout the day yet doing a job that 2 younger men could not do... no idea. I'm just a spectator to it all.
  2. There are so many women in every brand that get zero credit even though they are the final set of eyes and hands to touch your clubs, we talk about Japanese tolerance yet we don't give enough credit to the lovely ladies that make sure it lands in our hands that way.
  3. We will highlight a woman known as the Jewel of the shaft industry, from her hands countless major victories have been achieved a 30+ year veteran of the trade who is without a doubt the best at what she does.. as well as a cute little old lady
  4. TourSpecGolfer replied to Haovictor's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
The people I know at GD Japan dont even know about this. It should be coming from Japan first not being sold in China so approach this one carefully. This is also a generic shaft adapter used just to swap shafts. My guess is its for display use, ive seen Tour AD and NSPro irons in the past.
  5. Most non conformig drivers can still handle some pretty high speeds but i wouldnt suggest over 100mph just to be safe. Ryoma caps the conforming models at 50ms or 111mph and non conforming at around100mph. I still suggest no more than 95mph on the ST Maxima and dont let your fast swinging buddy to hit your ST.
  6. Similar to the Ryoma U its the longest UT Ive ever hit also F3 provided the player can make clean contact and has the proper shaft. TSG gets a lot of feedback from members via our automated review emails and just through converstion with customers, hands down for swingers around 100 and below Ryoma products produce the best distance and for guys like yourself who have the ability to buy and try everything so many end again and again with the ST Maxima, they all keep looking of course but its proven to be futile after a Ryoma w/7D my job gets next to impossible helping them find something longer.
  7. The Ryoma Special Tune is the longest driver in its segment, the factories and industry insiders know this and have known since the D1, one of the main reasons besides the design is because its on the limit of tolorence for breakage hence why there is an issue with cracked heads. Ryoma's and especially the special tunes have the thinnest bodies and faces in golf. The designer Tanimoto-san is from the medical device industry he operates to a different tune than the rest of the Japan Golf Industry.
  8. a non conforming inner rebound spring that at the moment of impact releases forward for a more powerful reflection off the club face, this spring makes this club non conforming in a new way usually non conforming is judged by the face COR related to thinness but Kamui Works has introduced this new method for even more distance advantage to the player. These are custom handmade heads so the options on these are many yes you can order this conforming but it will not have the inner spring. Like the previous KM-200 they pump air into the head to further increase rebound along with grooves on both the inside and outside of the face to create better forgiveness on the heel and toe side, as you can see there is a cut in the rear moving the cg forward and low for a low spin mid/high trajectory.
  9. T-MB to my surprise felt spongy and kinda soft to me, I was expecting firm and hollow which it wasnt for me.
  10. I have other prototypes using the exact same mold as the yonex ezones but found those to be just decent in feel and forgiveness. We used a larger head mold for this particular design and now its much softer and more forgiving. keep in mind this is just a one off here fellas, insipiration was the Yonex Ezone as you can see in the milled channel.
  11. Better carbon basically which allows you to rely less on timing to square the club face, smaller bad shots and more straightness. Jump to 5 stars and honma will do whatever you want, custom handroll you whatever shaft and any spec, profile, color u need. same with the head they basically put it together from scratch at your request with their full factory capabilities at your request.
  12. He dont have them yet, nor do I we are still working on the final product. Its been over a year already on this one.
  13. It's got offset just very little also strong lofts don't go against minimal offset. strong lofts means more distance but also a lower trajectory on a blade with a slightly lower CG than other blades as planned it averages it out. Most important was by strengthening the lofts it allowed us to add a set matching AW because we used the #3 mold to produce the #4 and so fourth.
  14. Yes just gotta snap some pics of it, got one here ready to go. they are available now via email.
  15. Special thanks to member Chiromikey for collaborating with us on this design! It's a very cool concept iron, the set in these photos are one of a kind. The concept is a strong lofted MB with a PW at 44* This is awesome because it also allows us to use the same mold PW and bend it into a 50* AW the benefit of this is another approach club part of the same set that has the same feel and appearance as the rest of your irons for improved consistency and flow. S15C Forged, Hand Grind + CNC Milled center channel. Full story in the blog w/photos right here! #4 #8 #AW
  16. This Proto is the prototype of the royal decoration which is why it plays soft. Most Crazy shafts play to flex or stiffer it just depends on the shaft profile you select.
  17. I'm not a fan of this brand, sure the drivers are pretty good but god do they miss the mark in so many ways with nearly every other product they offer, often the looks are gaudy, cheap, overdone and the quality just isn't there. their staff at the show didn't know anything about their own products and as I'm taking the photos I was thinking what am I doing here? then I download the pics to my computer and damn somehow these shots came out pretty good. We do have some customers that love the driver and great I'm glad it works but it's just hard for us to stand behind a brand that produces one good product then makes a dozen mistakes in the rest of their line up... ok rant over. enjoy the pics!
  18. Yup Zodia OZ is another monster, super long, not so high thought but forgiving and mid is what I got from it.
  19. Full write up in the blog but this new brands first offerings already put them near the top in wedge making. The company makes it's wedges in Himeji but what also makes it unique is they send the heads to Tsubame Sanjo to a world class polishing company, the same factory that polished the original iPod's screens for apple. It's called the SPY-1 Wedge, I love that Orion stamp on the back face! Two models Type-S & Type-G today I'm talking about the Type-G, later this week I will highlight the Type-S. This Type-G is unique because like the SDJ Limited 115 Prototype they are targeting a new trend the group that likes the visual effect of a straight leading edge instead of a round one, CGS Orion takes it a step further by giving the Type-G model no trailing edge so it's all about a straight edge floating leading edge that sits square to the target instead of opening it up. Do not think for a second that better players want a killed trailing edge, it's very much a personal preference some people play their wedges without opening them and value you straight setup for a better look over a rounded leading edge and a face that rocks open... So which one are you? or have you not tried the non rocking straight face before?
  20. Pay no attention to this one hutch, It ran for a grand and I'm sold out.
  21. Yup photos show a thin neck, I've played this putter and didn't notice it will have to take another look. Best part of made to order and handmade is request a thicker neck. Weight is usually distributed evenly across the top line, sole thickness usually horizontally or just a smidgen vertical.
  22. We can do any head weight as they are made to order but the heavier you go the thicker the shape becomes which I wouldnt mind at all, a chunky 360g version would also be cool. or send to golds like hutchys rad ping years back. logo or not is fine with me.
  23. I love L's on fast firm greens but on soft hairy greens especially long putts they are worthless to me.
  24. Very different in feel compared to original CB. There was orig CB in S15C and then SS400 but made by different factory. those were pretty soft equally on the face, a little harsh on the toe because they were thin CBs. Totally different feel on the new MB, different metal supplier, the grind and shinagawa and the fact it's an MB makes it a lot more pure, more disappearing ball feel center, yet firmer outside vs CB, I think the MB is much better balanced. Also there is the newest 2016 CB which is more mid sized to go against the ONOFF Kuro's. those are softer all over the club face imo. Everyone gets different results/feels, so much depends on how you strike it center and the shaft.
  25. You can borrow my irons for a month while I'm in up north but they have MCI 120 Stiff's.
