  1. He's no joke that guy, we were working on this iron even before the golf show, that is actually a completely different head with a similar backface, we had to start from scratch on it because using that head we could not get the minimal offset done so basically its a new head with the same back face with a totally different shape, no gooseneck at all. Quality is top notch on this one, the satin finish has great feel it's a very dull satin no gloss at all, I have not hit coppers yet we have so few sets I've got mine and been happy with them. These are my gamers for 1.5 years I just didn't mention, I'm sorry but they are only sold 3-PW. I play them with MCI-120's for now.
  2. Introducing the SEVEN X SHINAGAWA Blade! This product is a 3-way collaboration design between SEVEN + SKG Shinagawa + Kitada CNC creating a sexy new muscle back iron with inspiration from the classic Macgregor golf irons. We started by sourcing Japanese S15C billets to produce the blank iron head for this specific design, then after the initial prep grind these heads were sent to Kitada CNC to have the edgy back face milled for consistency in look and weighting perfectly placing the CG depth, height, and location in the perfect spot for each iron, also, the Seven Logo on the back face and neck were CNC milled instead of pressed. After Kitada-San they were sent back to Shinagawa-san for the complete grinding of the heads, extremely limited over two years in the making we are extremely confident in the performance, feel, and quality of SEVEN's latest creation. For those who are not familiar with the brand SEVEN GOLF, it is the house label of TourSpecGolf using only Japanese materials, manufacturing, finishing, parts and assembly it is the forged essence of Japanese Golf Clubs using clean and modern concepts combed with classic influences for the purest player. As with many SEVEN clubs, the custom options are abundant in the above image you see a black boron plated head with red paint fill and on the bottom a smoked copper finish. We also offer smoked copper with more or less chocolate meaning it can have more gold show through at the customers request. Below the Black Mirror finish provides a soft, sticky impact as the ball compresses against the surface; it's a luxurious dark chrome in the light or a black looking finish in the shadows. The grind itself is something we are very proud of we wanted something unique yet still familiar and through countless prototype samples we designed what we feel is the perfect grind for size, shape, and cg locations on the head. The toe's highest peak is pushed out past the score line to a sharp toe look, the offset is near nothing it's just enough making it much more hittable, this is the least amount of offset to maintain the optimal performance of this iron, and we tried zero, but in the end the eye wins and we pushed toward near zero offset and the result is beautiful from all angles. Above photo in black mirror finish, below photo in NiCr brushed satin by using Kyoshin Finishing House in Ichikawa Japan this company is right across the street from Shinagawa-san's factory and only produces finishes for the golf industry we adjusted the finish attributes to enhance the S15C's feel. During the manufacturing process we had a few ways to go when it came to the irons impact vibration, by manipulating the hardness rating and or choosing a different finish the feel varied widely this is also why it took us so long to produce with any blade feel is extremely important you don't want a gushy soft all over the face when what the better player desires is feedback on mis-hits yet a soft cold stick of butter feel dead center almost as if the ball disappears off the face. We accomplished our goal. Please allow me to summarize this | S15C Japan Forged Heads + CNC Milled Back Face & Logos + Shinagawa Grinders + SEVEN design = a club to appeal to the wants and desires of TourSpecGolf's members. Let's not forget custom options, we sell these heads only of course but TSG's clubmakers are second to none, and you can judge this for yourself with our ferrule work, custom spec details, paint work and overall build quality, the SEVEN clubs are offered with the finest options available be it Seven Dreamers Iron shafts, Crazy STP's, Fujikura MCI BLACK, Mitsubishi OT-Series and many more, we highly suggest trying the new XROZ grips made in Japan or one of our other extensive grip offerings. Please visit www.sevengolf.com or see the new SEVEN X Shinagawa MB in the TSG ProShop Please email [email protected] for your custom spec build as well. The SEVEN X SHINAGAWA Blade is Limited to only 15 sets available at the moment.
  3. no it isnt, its like a lighter smoother FW80 basically, trajectory is higher than original but not high.
  4. Ive played both a lot, the new one is softer feeling, smoother, lighter as its in the mid 60's. There is also a new FW80C version even softer. The closest thing to the originally FW80 is the FW50, weights are similar, feel is better, more distance, not as straight or low but still pretty tight.
  5. Here are some: Varit's Ash Craigs Lisong Carls I cant find Needmoregolf's either!
  6. CRZ-435 Limited is now SOLD OUT!
  7. Shuttle is such a good FW, more people need to try it. I installed a FW80 original into it last year and it was a monster, I could go back to this one any day. If you want smaller more pretty with high launch grandista is naturally a high ball depending on shaft of course. Jbeam TiFW is another.
  8. That is correct from Honma in the S-03 there is something on the toe to designate high cor, and yes S-03 can be made high cor in 4-5 stars per customer request. I sold that Honma driver a while back, I now have the S-05 version in 4 Star, will post up soon.
  9. I will do separate posts on each item, had a chance to visit crazy last monday and shoot new pics. The 200pcs limited driver is down to fewer than 25pcs.. release date is end of this month. There is also the AFD made CRZ-460 driver and while I gave it a bad rap earlier I know why I couldn't hit it, 1 was the shaft but 2 it's their new pro level driver, lower, less spin, and way more workable and small dispite being a 460 along with this there is a new pro level fairway wood and utility part of the same line, deeper faced FW & UT with strong trajectories and a firm steely feel at impact. Then there is the Titanium fairway woods which I hit also and it's excellent more my type of club because it's easier, those come late march as well. Toyoshima-san has left Crazy and will be working on a new project with TSG in the future. look forward to my next post about Crazy coming next week I need to do a better job explaining the new Regen FW80 and FW80C & FW50 as well as the full length 80T new Crazy 9 Shaft which has 2 versions. Bottom line is no one today is doing full length 80T other than the Fujikura Plat I believe. The Crazy 9 comes in a lighter spec for smoother swing and a heavy spec for stronger player, It's full length 80T + 46T in the butt and 60T in the tip or vice versa depending on the model profile.
  10. They are conforming, S-03 is only made in conforming, 4-5 star models have endless custom options, Sakata will do whatever you want with these including hand roll a custom shaft with any spec and paint u can imagine on the shaft or the head. this person had the standard 4 star shaft & head which is full gold. i will post pics of my S-05 4 star soon, it isnt gold, I went with all matte black.
  11. There are none.
  12. This one here only 1pcs but we keep a few raw heads available to be done in this exact finish. This is still just the standard Kyuzo.01 putter. SEVEN 1st of 10 Prototypes - 10 hardcore TSG clients bought these and tuned them to the extreme with golds factory. They were the first 10 Seven putters ever made. Craigs got one, I think MPBachman has one and a handfull of others. Then 3pcs of the SEVEN Prototype test samples were made they sport the Kyuzo.01 stamping but GF did various milling designs on them so I could test how SM490A & SUS303 JSS feels with the different mills. Then 3 ultra rare 100% blank 7 putters. I think I sold one to one of the forum members, these had a new horizontal PZ style mill different from GF but done by Kitada-san, zero stamping, one customer put a bunch of #7's in the back cavity, i forgot who it was but these are super rare. Then the Blank Sole Prototypes only 10 or 20 exist I forget. Then the Kyuzo.01 retail we made 40pcs and are down to our last few, these are raw and can be put in any finish you want, this is what you see here done in black mirror.
  13. So somewhere in our conversations the factory didn't understand that we wanted a 3D effect in the cavtiy so this is when we started doing CAD renderings of all sorts to help the CNC team take the project to the next level.
  14. Ok so let's take it a little further, we wanted to do a CB so we reached out to a little factory called Fujimoto Gikoh, makers of believer and many other small brand, this was the third factory we worked with in regards to seven, here is the early first gen proto of the original seven CB. Don't worry it all starts to get a lot prettier after this.
  15. These! The only set of Marus done in Satin, I remember because I had George Takei refinish them for me with his factory contact back in the day. Only issue was they were super duper light weight if I recall. Do they belong to you now Haovictor? They used to be mine! I'm sure they have gone through a lot of hands, anyhow these hold a special place in my heart, if you send them to me I will refinish them free of charge to you just cover shipping!
  16. Like this would be nice but not realistic for the factory. Would this blade be worth it in only black oxide though?
  17. Years back it was known as SEVEN HILLS, Before Rome existed it was basically SEVEN small hills with villages as they each grew they all merged into one city. Recently this name has brought me inspiration... A fun side convo is that Himeji has a lot of clans I like to say, it can be like a high school drama at times, people who used to work together that for some reason or another now won't speak to each other.. I'm talking generations so cmon it's time to get over that, the kids of the parents who had the argument should squash it and shake hands and try to lift Himeji/Ichikawa into the manufacturing power it once was. You will see next week what we are trying to do.
  18. Had to scrap this wedge for the same reason, maybe one day it will come back if we just want to do an iron/wedge in black oxide only. This is why the Maru wedge only came in black oxide. The maru wedge inspired me to make these I always thought it was such a simple and clean shape... Just writing this makes me want to put it back on the table again. A few full sets were made of the blade & wedges but are now in storage collecting.
  19. I can't start from the very beginning because I don't have those prototypes anymore. I wanted to make an MB version of the TourStage Maru Wedge so I contracted a factory in Ichikawa Japan to produce some prototypes This was the raw shape pre grinding, it's an S15C head with a CNC + hand ground back face. Everything was all go with a couple of sets until it came time to finish these, when finishing is done satin or mirror of just about any type they have to hand polish it and because of this bump no finishing house in Japan could get the polishing belt to do a good job due to the corners of the bump. This left me with only 1 option a coating like teflon black or black oxide and I wanted satin so the design was scraped. Perhaps I'll bring it back one day for fun, it was super soft, very forgiving and small, very sharp and edgy.
  20. What is SEVEN? To put it bluntly, it's a brand that I created strictly as a hobby if it becomes something greater if not no big deal. I don't want to put a bunch of fancy words around it or made up terms for very basic technologies; I just want to be able to share with you guys what we do, who makes it and how it's made... That is what would make me happiest so let's do it. I have gone back and fourth on how to position the brand, pricing, shop accounts, etc.. We started off with a small handful of accounts mostly in Asia but to create a system that benefits everyone from manufacturer to brand to shop to customer the prices have to be silly high, I don't want to make an overpriced product unless my costs justify a higher sticker price in manufacturing or quantity.... Sorry resellers And because we buy at manufacturing costs selling directly to the consumer we can bring the price down. I want you guys to understand something, though, I'm only interested and able to produce in very small quantities 10pcs here, 5pcs there 20pcs at other times If I produce hundreds of pcs then we are no longer flexible, and we can't start fun new maniac projects because we would then be stuck with stock. So I pay far more than other brands because I'm producing super small amounts and that's ok because we have the unique advantage of selling directly to the customer where other brands rely on a distributor system and have to cut a ton of people in. Factories build my stuff at their leisure. I'm also a major pain in the ass to deal with so call me Mr. Mendokusai (pain in the butt), but we compensate them well for their best work, we want the person that makes them make good $$$ from us, and we want to make their names known globally. In this post I'm going to answer questions and show you how things have progressed we can talk makers, we can talk the who's and wheres and then next week expect big announcements from us. I may change my mind on things; I may change it all or adjust the brands positioning I have no idea but lets just participate in something that's real for once. One more thing. Every club is made in Japan; Materials, Finish, Paint, shaft labels, ok not the putter head covers but you get it, and many brands outsource the parts then assemble in Japan just to say those words. Let the party begin...
  21. Here is the BeZeal Top Line ( sorry for my error! )
  22. I'm tired of writing Kyuzo.01 so I'm calling them K1's from now on. Here's a standard K1 with Black Mirror Finish, I used to call this finish something else but then member Spoon used the term Black Mirror in a forum thread and I think this describes them better. Technical Term - Soft Black 100% Polished Known as - Black Mirror aka - Twilight
  23. SX Flex Crazy STP 100 w/ 2 X Soft Step and reduced Tipping could be the bee's kneez. I don't see how any shaft is more straight and accurate, not even 7D. It's the patented carbon stepped tech that Crazy sprung a lot of cash for. This week monday we went to crazy and tested all sorts of STP shafts and the issue was 85 is only avail in stiff then 100SX and 115X but keep in mind these all play stiff to flex with low traj even in 85! So what we came up with is less tip cut and soft step 1X or 2X this helped immensely in getting a higher launch and softer feel, I think the STP's are the best if you want straight, accurate, consistent shots. just takes some fine tuning in build details to get it done right.
  24. After more range time with this shaft I stand corrected, it's performance is very close to the 2015 model just the feel has been much improved. I needed to test it in the ZY-11 to get a good idea and after doing so it is indeed a better feeling experience than the 2015 model yet with same tight dispersion + mid trajectory.
  25. Your right! I selected the same photo off my desktop, that is not the Bezeal top line in the Bezeal post its the 9005G. will update that shortly. opps!
