Winter training!!
TourSpecGolfer replied to nobmontana's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearFor me they key factors are simple: it must be lifestyle and consistent. without those things it wont last. 1 x per week Yoga 4 x per week stretch/cardio/weights ( only 1hr 30min ) 2 x per week BJJ 5 days a week eat clean & below 2000cal this allows me to have two anything goes meals + drinks per week (usually sat/sun) Tried cross fit, HIT, Tabata, and many extreme diets. I have weight issues. I find the DASH diet ideal for me. I hired a trainer for a year then since dec of last year have been able to sustain this on my own by replacing him with BJJ. Im about to embark on a lot of travel for work and pleasure so keeping this up and planning wisely will be a challenge. I also find if I dont completely exhaust myself working out Im a F'd up person, too much energy with no physical outlet puts me on trigger, jumpy, and overly aggressive. I need this consistent balance for my sanity. I also listen to a boat load of pod casts, when I awake, go to bed, and motivational stuff in the gym.

R9 TP Forged by TSG Club Works
Imo almost any club can feel soft with the right shaft/grip/specs and hitting it center, I've hit black borons that feel hard and hit them that are very soft. These irons inherently feel soft. Mitsubishi OT shafts do a good job at making many clubs feel buttery. --- To Spoon-san, what is black pearl? Soft Black Plated + Polished which is similar to the black nickel finish by Honma or Mizuno Yoro is possible.

R9 TP Forged by TSG Club Works
We took in some homeless used classic Taylormade R9 TP Japan Forged Irons and did our magic removing the TP badge sending them into our Black Boron finishing factory ( in Japan ) then a custom white/yellow paint fill job. These irons are Dark and Evil looking now. We still have these set of heads 5-PW available if anyone is interested.

The HISTORY of Japan ( in a fun way :)

- Metal factory irons
Pretty good irons and wedges, feel is not exactly soft, it's Kyoei forged, fairly compact. We have sold a few and the customers have not provided any feedback so I'm gonna guess they are decent, usually when irons or anything are stellar I get feedback from members who are blown away with smiles on their faces.- Seven Dreamers Dreaming (Again) !
I guess the cats out of the bag! 7D iron shafts will be unveiled at the golf show, I've had them for 2 days now in a special set of irons but those in Japan can go to the Shiba-Koen location and give them a whack by appt only. They retail 100,000 yen each shaft. Fitting can be same as the Matrix/Haute but also customer requests weight/flex/characteristics.- Japan Golf Fair 2016!
Yup coverage will be huge this year from TSG. Keep up with our social media pages as that content flows the quickest. This is a good page to keep tabs on: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/blog/social/ Also I've already seen the full exhibitors list not much to look forward but still should be better than the USPGA show, the best content will come from TSG's exclusive content from the meetings before/after the show.- Golf Training Aids Exclusive to Japan?
Ton's Japan has so many I don't know where to start - Elite Grips One Speed - Royal Collection Iron Doctor - A-Grind has a super short heavy club training device - Epson M Tracer - Royal Collection Tri-One Stick - Woss Power Shake Master - Tabata Tornado Stick - etc.. Ako-san from A-Grind is one of the best designers of training aids making RC millions over the years with his designs, unfortunately not making a dime for himself.- Seven Dreamers Dreaming (Again) !
What a great review! It was actually your questions, concerns and detail oriented replies that are partly of the reason why this shaft turned out the way it did. I like when customers get involved this deeply in the process and push me to understand more it's extra work but I feel comfort when all bases are covered. Then more stress when it ships because I talked these up so much, they cost a pretty penny, and I'd hate for you guys to be disappointed. To my surprise nearly everyone has been impressed so far. If for any reason someone isn't please get in touch with me and I'll see what can be done for you. I think RLL said it but the honeymoon period on these shafts keep going and going strong, I've had mine for almost a year! I haven't gamed another shaft. I've ordered the same combo 4 times with the only changes being the loft/face angle of the same head, that's not normal for me. The L01's are now arriving in owners hands this week and I feel the nerves with crossed fingers that it's worth every penny paid and then some.- Who plays Epon P2s as their gamers? I was just notified yesterday.- A-GRIND UT PROTO
No for me I value accuracy above all, I need this thing closer to the pin on approach shots it's a shaft issue.- Mizuno MP4 Black Satin 5-PW heads $425
I think these are called JILL Twilight Finish, There is no black bead blast finish. Your price is already below 50% of what these originally cost with or without the term Yoro.- A-GRIND UT PROTO
Update: I love this Hybrid! I just need a new shaft to keep it a bit more tame but everything about it, especially looks and feel has my modart's worried.- Seven Dreamers New $10,000 Caddie Bag!
Comes with no goodies! Bag only. I will reserve my design judgement until after viewing it in person. It will have to be pretty insane to justify this price. Another 7D announcement coming soon!- blaSTS FROM THE paSTS....
It's USDM but still very cool: This is a Driver Built in 1999 for the late Payne Stewart... but, obviously, circumstances led to him never picking it up. Tag reads - Great Big Bertha 8.2 Degree. 45 Inch. D3 Swing Weight. Tour Velvet .580. Fenwick Eagle 7.0- Seven Dreamers New $10,000 Caddie Bag!
Seven Dreamers started off by shocking the world with some really expensive shafts, $1200, $1800, $12,000, $15,000 and get this... the $120,000 golf shaft! Despite these shockingly insane prices the Matrix, Haute, and L01 shafts are among the very best in the world if not the best hands down. Now Seven Dreamers is shocking us once again with their all new caddie bag using space grade carbon fiber used in satellites. They use a spine structure called T-System that can withstand a powerful impact protecting all your seven dreamers shafts:) I'm sure it's beautiful and well made using leather I love this design as it's been striped of any unnecessary logo's or markings. Made of Japanese Carbon Fiber and Leather. This bag is very limited after the currency exchange it comes out to about 8,500 usd and you can order one at [email protected]- Who plays Epon P2s as their gamers? Trying to decide P2 or Buchi vs200
We have a P2 customer who ordered MP-5's with the same amount of offset and a copper under layer. Will be good to hear his comparison.- Twilight Hokkaido | Mizuno Yoro Craft MP-5 Irons
Hey guys, Mizuno now offers Copper Under layer with these finishes: Nicr Satin Nicr Mirror Jill Nickel Finish- BALDO COMPETIZIONE 568S IRON

3* closed? how did you measure this?- Seven Dreamers Dreaming (Again) !
Robbie, your 7D shaft is not mated to your swing it's one of M's right? Also we have lots of info/feedback on our customers experiences with these and Distance is for sure the way to go. --- Daves question, many have said AAA limited shaft was most similar, Fujikura EVO II as the lease expensive closest model. nothing substitutes a 7D imo.- Bridgestone J015
This is for Bridgestone fitting shops only. So you need an in person fitting but it's actually just adjusted designs from previous TourStage clubs, I know the 2010/2009? X-CB is the iron, the driver is from TourStage as well. Sexy though.- OB: Italy
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI was there in October and everyone was saying 2015 will be the best harvest in history and theentire Tuscany region is on fire for 2015. Last year there was a horrible harvest due to weather so make sure you don't go 2014's, 2015's weather is best on record when it comes to Chianti and Tuscan wines. Brunello 2010 is beautiful! I always order Conti Costanti Brunello di Montalcino 2010 from Wine.com and I also suggest highly Antinori Tignanello 2012.- OB: Italy
TourSpecGolfer replied to TourSpecGolfer's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech Gearoh yes sir a good brunello and super tuscan rivals anything from Bordeaux & cali the only issue is that Italy doesn't ship out the good stuff. I usually buy from wine.com and the best years and bottles are not on there. Chianti gets a bad rap in the states because there is so much bad and very few good but in Italy I swear the 5 euro jug is better than the $50 bottle in the states. They say 2015 will be the best year in recorded history for the harvest in Italy of course its still another 2+ years before the 2015's are ready then collectors are pre ordering them like theres no tomorrow but if you order directly from the vineyards italian website and pay in euro and ship fedex you will have the good stuff. Going to Italy or going anywhere for that matter just once or twice doesn't give you the full picture making it hard to have an authentic time. I have a theory on this... Hawaii - Locals need to experience living like a full blown tourists in Waikiki, Luau's, nice resorts while Tourists need to experience life as the locals, 4X4 truck, fire on the beach, dog+ fishing from the shore, opihi picking, night tsubo, golfing in tee shirts on a cheap course with your own 12 pack and spam musubi's, hire a uke player to hang out and play music Italy - tourists need to expereince an old old villa where almost everything doesn't work, gotta have a pizza oven and a small coal grill, truffle hunting with dogs and wine, a fire every night, eating, drinking all day long in places where there are zero tourists, hire a mandolin payer or chef to prepare meals. I've got so many off the road places to visit if anyone needs in Tuscany especially, so cheap, so good and so much food. I pitty anyone that chooses the four seasons or a luxury resort over this type of experience, they burn money and never really get to experience it. In both Hawaii and Italy I think it takes a good 5-7 days to slow the mind down then things psychologically can heal or adapt. Japan is a different story, I've lived there 3 years, been there more than 30 times since, I'm actually moving back in just a couple of weeks but I've tried the live like a local thing and it's nice in Okinawa and other places but really I like the hotel/ryokan/resturaunt/city drinking expereince the most. If anyone has suggestions for the authentic "local" experience in Japan let me know. I do like to get a serviced apartment with a kitchen and buy ingredients from Tsukiji and Daimaru's. - Metal factory irons
