Blemish in my bag. Need to eradicate the blemish, with your help!
From what I read of your swing speed and from your list, I would think the Kamui Pro will be ok for you. I would also try the new JBeam 435R and the Maxima as well.

Old School Gold's Factory Wedges - just refinished
Nice but does the face have the same high gloss finish? Glare will be a major concern if so.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I play the newer NW110 in my PW and 52, the older K's wedge shaft in my 54 and the NW120 which is the same as the Bold Shimada stock shaft but not DCR finish in my 60 and none of them have that imbalance. Played these same shafts in my Miuras as well and no imbalance.

Number 7 Crazy 460
wmclarenf1 replied to Craig's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearWhile this is a bomber for you, it was average for me. I tried this with a LY01 Hot Black as well and while it felt quite nice (the head), it wasn;t that long for me even when I felt I nutted it. It flies straight though..

Even with the Hot Black? That's rather opposite from my experience with it. In a RomaRo HX Black 460 10* head, it helped bring down ball flight a bit and there was tons of roll from my perspective. Not the best feeling of the Crazy shafts for me though.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I think that best sums it. Its something that one could get used to quite easily as well I think. I decided to stay with my DWDs.

Utility shaft?
Tom, Another possibility is to get a Quadra 4AX SOF long iron shaft. The Quadra iron shafts feel great and perform very well. Weights of 50+ grams to 100+ grams for you to choose from.

My thoughts too Jimboi. I don't know if I get 20 yards more roll but I do get quite a bit more than the D1.

Launch Monitor Results with Tatsuro
Chris, Is the data for the different drivers collected on the same day? If not, and if Tatsuro has the time and legs, it would be more ideal if all were hit on the same day. That way, its the "same swing" on that day hitting all the drivers. Just a thought.

Number 8 Ryoma
wmclarenf1 replied to Craig's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearAs you know, this too is my fairway finder Craig! I play the normal D1 though. My first attempt at this was a V-Spec 9.5 with LY02 SR.. the exact same setup as yours. When I was swinging well, it was great but when not, I could not generate enough spin and the ball just drops. Went to a D1 10.5 with a TJ46 6.2 and for me, it's a match made in heaven. a fairway machine. I found more distance as well, and roll, with this than the AF101 GD DI which it replaced but against my 435, it gives up maybe 10 to 15 meters but again, longer than the AF 101 for me and some of the of newer drivers. So yes, as your fellow TSGer said, "its not short, its just not long". Try the Maxima when you can Craig. If you;re comfortable with the V-Spec in 9.5, get a 9.5 in the Maxima head definitely. For me, loft for loft, the Maxima launches a tad higher than the D1and for me with a slower mid 90s swing speed, I need more launch. Playing a charity tourney tomorrow... My Okamoto will be in the bag.

Was thinking the same. I was also hoping to see some irons more along the Bold lines with higher CG placement and weight management.

I can confirm for me, the Maxima is longer than the D1. It has also kept up with my 435 in occasion. Just can be a tad wild but that could be down to the Roddio M6 in it for now.

I wonlt be surprised if this becomes one of the hottest heads this season. Am I expecting it to give 15 more yards over any of my drivers? No! I'm just hoping with the TJ46 I have coming in, it'll replace the D1 as my safety driver when I'm going through a bad driving path but close the gap with the 435 I have. I now have maybe a 10 meter gap between my D1 and 435 but fairways hit with the D1 is so much more. If its longer than the 435, even better.

For what its worth, I tried a CB46 in my Type D and I found it was not enough spin. Ryoma heads can spin low and just like too much spin, too little spin isn't good as well. If you're aksing if there will be a difference in the different heads, from Ryoma's microsite, it doesn't seem like there is a difference in the face material this time. G wil be a lighter head and play to a longer finished length whic if you can handle the added length consistently, may give you longer drives. The IP or black finish on Type V will I think result in a harder feel and the head is also the heaviest of the 3 hence making it more for faster swingers.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
If there is any, its really very very negligible and my eye is very sensitive to offset.

The Honeymoon is Over!!! Reviewing the Jbeam 435
Congrats again Robb. If you want to try different combos, best you get another head and leave this alone.

Have you tried your BOLD Wedge?
I went ok with the bold but if indeed a learning curve is needed, that seems to be becoming a trait of S-yard. Not sure that is good if true.
