  1. I like the blue. When will the Jedi be moving this one on to plus 1
  2. Mine's only 105 - 108. I'm actually thinking of a tip soft shaft for my 510, 8.5. The loft is probably a little to strong for me and the shaft is a Mitsubishi Rayon X flex (TP-85MT). The shaft is a little bit stiff for my swing speed, however with a big swing I can really bomb it. I guess we are all different, and matching the shaft to our head and swing speed, I believe to be critical. BTW yoou have a great set of clubs.
  3. ckay, what is your swing speed with he driver??
  4. I don't know how they finished the wedge, but it does look kind of snazzi.
  5. Is someone able to tell me the difference between the two?? ie playing chracteristics etc The tp-6 and tp-7 are significatly more expensive than the x-con. Can some explain the difference in performance between the tps and the x-cons.
  6. The shape of these drivers is just superb.
  7. Man, what do you play off?? A little more personal how old are you? This is a great set of clubs, I suspect for a very good golfer!! I particularly like the grinding you have done on the 56. Could you give us a bit of a review on the Ozik shaft. What you like about it and what it has done for your game. Overall very impressive.
  8. Blader-X what's your swing speed with the driver?
  9. That dog is a classic. I would be very interested to see what it looked like on a carry bag.
  10. I've had some discussions via pm with acrazygolfer about the benefits and characteristics of the NS Pro and the Tour Concept. I will now open the discussion to the board, for those of you who have played both as to what you liked and what you didn't about the two.
  11. Seems to be a common thread through the thread. We are all old and don't play as much as we should. Youth is definetly wasted on the young. When I was 17...... ......played EVERY DAY including Christmas and expected to nuke the 1 iron. (4 iron is the least lofted in the bag now and that's looking shakie)
  12. I don't know either, but everything else has been fantastic. I'm sure it will be worth the wait!!

There is a silver lining to every cloud....... .....poor weather....... .......more time to drink some Guiness

What does the 7 wood replace?? The Ping camoflage bag looks pretty snazzi.
  15. Dave, I've recently holidayed in Whistler and enjoyed the snow, however I guess you would be a bit sad with that magnificent set of clubs sitting there begging to be used. The studio handmades appear to be a slightly larger head than the G-Field NC!s, maybe just my imagination, however could you comment? (slightly bigger I would see as a benefit). Well done and thanks for posting. PS What wedges are you using??
  16. ........so Chris, that said, what is YOUR favourite. (I'm not scratch, but know my lie's, lofts, lengths, swing weights the lot) Particularly fussy about 4* increment through out the irons.
  17. My MP11s are a classic. I still think they are about as good as anything Mizuno has ever produced. My nomination for future classic is interesting, however I like the Scratch AR-1s. Cavity blade, but stylish in my view, and can be ground however you like and their not too busy when you look at them from the back CLASSIC!!
  18. Man, you assolutely, positively need to review the TBC grind....that's just wild, and I want my wedge done too!!!
  19. Good to see a fellow Aussie on the site. Those Tourstage irons are a classic. I look forward to your report from the show.

This is a very well thought out bag, particularly the irons. I haven't seen those Traditional irons in the flesh, however they do look very good. I also like the combination of the cavities in the long irons and blades in the shorter irons. So far as the wedges are concerned, they look like a work of art, particularly the 60*. If you could take a few more photos from different angles that would be great.
  21. I don't know exactly why, but the Srixons look appealing. Could we get a photo from address?
  22. Phillip Alexander replied to plus1's post in a topic in Japanese Golf Clubs
Hey plus 1, could you take a photo of the 3 Gauge clubs at address side by side and say the Scratch. As I explained in another post I saw the G-Field NC1s at the Ladies Aussie Open on the weekend. Beautiful clubs, just a little too small in the head for me. I'm actually starting to move towards the mid sized models.
  23. Guys, I was out watching the Australian ladies women's open. Couldn't help but look in most of the bags, and in particular the Japanese players bags. Finally got to see a set of G-Field NC1s in the flesh. These clubs are simply beautiful. The interesting thing for me was the head size is just a tad smaller than my current MP 11s. .....now I know everybody else on the site plays off scratch or better, and certainly 30 years ago Jack could nuke his 1 iron, however at 47 years of age I'm thinking mid sized could be a good option. Certainly there are many beautiful mid sized irons on the site, however they may have taken a bit of a back seat to the players clubs. Just my 2 cents worth.
