What's the truth about Y cutters and Box Grooves?
They're probably excellent, but aren't they going for $325 a piece??? :-D It's still the Indian not the arrow, right? Personally, I'd rather have to sink a 10 footer than a 5 footer, and pocket the $225 .

General BS Thread
HipCheck replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearMan Al, I think I bought everything at Golfsmith last year. I guess I could use some rainwear, because the stuff I have now is more like body armor. My golf may continue for 1 or 2 rounds this year. I've played maybe twice in 4 weeks. Used to always play the day after Thanksgiving, but since my Father-In-Law passed 3 years ago, it's just not the same, unfortunately. Last round was a good one. Cold day, windy. Fought my way to an 85, but more importantly beat my friend who's a 4-capper (7 strokes better than me) 2 up in matchplay. That gave me a 3-2-2 mark to beat him for the season. I can't seem to eliminate those blowup holes. I had pars & birdies, but had 3 doubles and a triple. Hence, the bag situation. This year I've added the Nak driver, which is perfect for my swing, so that's set. I even have a backup, for some reason!? I've just about given up on FW woods, b/c I can't hit them with any consistency off the deck, which is most helpful to me. I love the TourStage FUT 19° soooo much that I just added a 16°, thanks to Roots & Relics in Honolulu of all places! I am OK w/my wedges too. My Vokey is great and my Cally will soon be replaced w/a Zodia. But irons....oh boy. I've tried Hogans, Miuras, Srixons and KZGs this year. These are by far the worst part of my game. I did a little demo the other day and tried EVERYTHING!!! What felt best? Ping G2s with R flex steel shafts. :tired: Oh man, I've got some thinking to do! :-D

please review gauge m2 center shaft
I had one. Very nice looking. Great finish. REALLY small clubhead, made especially small with the metal ingots in the face. Nice feel, but small sweetspot. I did sink a lot of putts with it, but I flat out didn't putt as well as I do w/my normal putter, so I wound up trading it away.

Tourstage F/UT U3 16* with NSPro 95 S-flex Steel shaft
Most underrated utility out there. I have a 19° and have a 16° on the way. Can be hit from any lie and is the BEST chipping club! Scary easy to use.

Is Cross Handed Dead?
I've been putting left hand low since I started playing six years ago. Using a conventional grip just feels odd. It took me a while to get any sort of feel putting conventionally this season when my putter wasn't working. My grip for left hand low is an overlap with my left pinkie and part of my ring finger on top of my right hand. It's just the grip that has developed over time. Two points: 1) I do the same thing gripwise 2) Your avatar is freaking me out :-D

Akira Rescue club
The FUTs are the best. I just ordered my second one. No reason to hit long irons, or even fairway woods for that matter, when you can just smack these out of any lie --- sand, tee, rough or fairway. Awesome club.

Is Cross Handed Dead?
Depending if you sink the putts or not, that will tell you your answer. I putt left hand low the majority of the time. It's very comfortable for me now, and it squares the shoulders. However, it's pretty easy to switch back to the traditional style, which I do from time to time on really, really fast greens and on some short putts. Sounds weird, but sometimes on short ones, I like to imitate Mickelson's stroke, w/an open stance. It just works. I can't use a belly putter, b/c my belly's always changing!

General BS Thread
HipCheck replied to AKFLY's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearLet me guess --- bad power sander ! Everything! The list: - Dented dryer on delivery - Broke railing on delivery - Items in stock couldn't be found - Trying to force delivery for a broken treadmill - Trying to force delivery for a broken stove - Broken propane tank They suck! Need I go on? :) Man, that was a long time ago. Since then, Sears has.... - Delivered a broken refrigerator which spoiled all our food - Claimed we were at an incorrect address (Woodland Ave instead of Rd) and refused to pickup the refrigerator they delivered 3 days earlier - Refused to reimburse us for the spoiled food - Delivered my other appliances 6 freakin' hours after the time they said they would - Refused to connect my gas range because the shutoff valve was "too far" from the hookup - Then the delivery driver says "hey, I could lose my job so don't mention this...I could hook up your range for a good tip" Worst damn company ever. I'd firebomb that place....if I knew how.

long iron troubles
With my TourStage FUT utilities, I have no reason to hit a 3 or 4 iron. They can be hit from ANYWHERE and chip like no club I've ever had. No reason to hit long irons anymore.

BO SOX World Series Champs!!!
HipCheck replied to DoubleAA's post in a topic in Out of Bounds: Lifestyle, Luxury, Autos, Hobbies, High Tech GearI tell you, I am a lifelong Yankee fan. I've followed them every year for 30 years or so. I saw Bucky Dent's home run. I've watched the Red Sox collapse in 1986. I saw Aaron Boone's homerun and the Red Sox comeback of 2004. All that being said, now that the Sox have FINALLY won a World Series, the thing that makes me upset, is that that asshole Ben Affleck is happy! :wah:
