Fourteen: 550 or 770?
The 770's fall in between the 1000's and 550's according to Fourteen. The TC-550's would be a good step from the ViQ Forged. They would be similar in performance, long and straight, perhaps a touch smaller and similar offset. The 770's will have less offset be a little smaller than the 550's and be thinner topline and sole. One thing you can be sure about with all the Fourteen forged is the soft feel. If you want more workability then the 770's are your pick. If you want easier to hit and straight... then the 550's are the one.

Graphite Design Iron Shafts
What's the point of going to any shaft R? Curiousity the urge to try something new... or just for the sake of change. I just believe that Carlo has had some experience with the lightweight graphite already in irons so trying the tour ad's would be of minimal adjustment for C.

Callaway
Great info Henry thanks for sharing! As a person who practically has a second home in Japan and a Japanese born and raised wife I know exactly what you are talking about when it comes to the different markets. Japan has the market to support basically anything. When it comes to golf, price is not the issue, quality and choice is. There are 3 almost 4 times the amount of golfers in the US compared to Japan but their equipment market is virtually the SAME size, meaning that, 1 Japanese golfer will spend equivalent to 3-4 golfers in the US. You've probably heard of all the fads in Japan like fashion, video games, electronics... it's no different with those markets as well. The Japanese can be fanatical about anything they love. Heck I have been collecting anime and jpop and idol goods for well over a decade... and I've nearly been married that long as well (thank you to my cute idol wife who understands), crazy obsessions and otaku habits are hard to lose and are also very expensive.

Graphite Design Iron Shafts
The Black G's are pretty much black like Shingo's below. Since you're coming from Beres irons with ARMRQ graphite... I think the Tour AD75 would be an amazing match for you C.

New wedges for 2008
D, a slightly different shape, also for the new AF wedge, the grooves are much close to right angles for crazy spin. The CG is also moved closer to the hosel for a lower trajectory stable shot rather than going for max height.

Shafts that let you feel.
S, we will talk before you pick up any shafts....

forged 8620 steel?
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think 8620 is cast as are most Crew's wedges. They may used the term forged (like honma does with their form forged cast irons). As for multiple forging, this is common to make an iron stronger and softer, a lot of irons are at least two times forged, Srixon uses a method that involves 6 times.

Taylormade R7 TP Forged Irons w/ PICS!
They will not be as forgiving but when struck well they will feel considerably better. The TP forged will be more compact with less offset than the US r7 TP's.

Golf Digest DRIVER No.1 Shootout 2007
Definitely technology has changed! Beres is still considered nice for prestige and quality, but it's no longer one of the longer ones. (^_^) One thing I did think of though, even though the test did not take into account the swing styles of players, we actually can make some good observations based on the results and the individual players and their swing speeds. Even though the Yamaha won overall, it was not the best driver for every tester. Each tester had their own best three... I swing around the lady pro's speed (^_^) which is why I was paying more attention to her results specifically. Yamaha has their own proprietary shaft, the Yamaha DX-507D a double kick point shaft that kicks at the midpoint and butt, for a mid and high kick.

Golf Digest DRIVER No.1 Shootout 2007
Well for the final testers 10 shots probably could suffice considering they are all pro level players and great driver strikers. For me I'd probably need 50 shots but with two off the testers being of the Japanese pro tour, 10 would probably be not bad. Yeah it would be very tough to take into account the swing style of testers... even in the early rounds its possible many drivers were eliminated just because they didn't fit the initial testers swing. Still a good overall read for a general golf magazine. (^_^)

Miura vs Miura Giken
Same company, same Miura Katushiro, completely different lineup. The Japanese lineup is far broader and refreshed far more often. Some of the US models in the past have been hand me downs of older Japanese models.

Blade suggestions
The new Miura MB-5003's in Japan are getting rave rave reviews. Touted as Miura's best feeling and most forgiving blade ever. Top reviewers in Japan are going ga ga over this blade. It is selling very very well. Nobody is even looking at the older models now since this one came out! We've already moved quite a few sets of them here and the buyers are players from low handicappers even up to mid handicappers who have always dreamed of buying a pure muscle back! Tourspecgolfer should be posting pictures of his tonight.

A look inside Bettinardi Golf
Just imagine having a floor like that in your house, you'd take your putter everywhere and just putt around the house.... no full swings with wedges though as you wouldn't want to take a divot out of that floor!
