  1. Obviously Kobyoshi hasn't returned to Epon....... The blades look like a set of PRGR blades I picked up a few years back. I was looking for the least forgiving, smallest blade with reg flex graphite shafts to practice with/hit off of mats with. CT-510 I believe. Trust me when I tell you they are not forgiving. I'm not convinced they have a sweet spot!!

No, they are not. But now that you mention it neither one jacks up the ball when flushed. I have a set of Gold's Factory CB's I take out now and then, I make sure I play used balls as they just destroy a golf ball.

As I know longer play Blades I figure it's time to send these to a new home. Set #1 RARE "Pro Preference Model" (Himeji?) 100 sets made in Chrome This is set 002/100 100% Factory Original 3-PW KBS Tour - Stiff Golf Pride Tour Velvet Chords Excellent Condition - No bag chatter. These were designed and built as if they were Epon. It was the Epon top brass that were responsible for design and manufacture. "Japan Forged" **EDIT** Guess you never know who's story to believe but have just been told by Chris, tourspecgolfer, that : "they are made by Shinagawa in Himeji for a guy who used to distribute Epon." .Heck... makes them even more valuable. :) My apologies for any confusion and mis information. . These irons are for the better ball striker. They were not designed to be forgiving but to be the best performing Blades ever with added playability. They are simply a Blade players dream. $1,200 plus actual shipping costs - will need your shipping addy to figure shipping costs That is half of what they sold for new. Imagine combining the feel of the AFTours and the Miura MB5003's. Performing even better. I have the wedges that match the set but at this moment they are not for sale.... that could change. Comparison Pic is with the Epon AF-302 Set #2 Miura MB-5002 - MG Special Edition 5-PW + A wedge + 56* SW-F100 / 8 Clubs Fuji Speeder 801 Graphite shafts "R" Golf Pride Dual Durometer Grips Set is in Excellent condition $600 plus actual shipping As always, any questions, please ask
  4. Same here. I will say this makes perfect sense for Bridgestone. Absorbing TS will make them a full line golf company. Should also help them with costs in all departments by streamlining and consolidating. I think it will also bring the newest tech faster to the Bridgestone eq. I think this is a good and very smart move by Bstone, It's a tough market out there. This is going to make them a bigger, better player.

While I agree with most everything said.....the ProV1, for me, is still the best ball. But.. and no flaming please... I recently put the TM Gloire ball in play. Might be the longest of them all. There's something about the feel of this ball that is very addicting. You just want to hit it again and again. Driver, irons, wedges and Putter. Soft yet firm. No click. The downside is it isn't as durable as I'd like. Full wedge shots will scuff them up.

All I know is I could play that bag and love it. Ever need a Golf partner I'd make a special trip. :)
  7. 170g head weight.... wow, add a 43 or 54g shaft... wow to say this is going to be light is an understatement.

Just come home safe. Nice bag. I don't think there's to many of us that wouldn't get along just fine with that one.
  9. Anyone looking for a great players CB with tons of forgiveness and excellent feel should be all over these.
  10. While I like different graphics... if this was an iron it would certainly be deemed way to busy. Personally I kinda like it but I think the purist would throw up on himself. Also agree the GR series gets zero love and is probably as good as any for the masses.

Just looking at the divots you take make my elbows and wrists hurt.

8 irons - $500 shipped?? Seriously?? Nobody is paying attention. Having played the Yamaha Tour irons every year since 2007..... IMO these are the best of the best. Tho I have to admit I thought these were the 2010's, not that it makes any difference.
  13. $600 shipped isn't a good price - it's a really good price. They're worth more than that if they were heads only. Someone is going to get a really good set of irons. IMO these are as good if not better than the 302's.
  14. Being as distance is something you need not worry about I'm thinking something that feels absolutely amazing, sits square, and is just incredibly forgiving....throw in quality materials and manufacturing.... something you can pick up very reasonable... no flaming allowed but....... pick up a used Epon EM-S and enjoy playing out of the fairway after you wipe the grin off your face because it felt better than Roxanne did the night before.

    *** SOLD *** PRGR Egg 3 FW 15*
  17. Must be mental for me... as I can't make this driver perform.
  18. Reminds me of when I got my first set of Epon Technity Irons There was a triangular hard foil sticker that didn't sit well in the cavity. After playing with it I could tell it was going to peel off. So I did. Underneath etched into the cavity it said Pro Ones (I think, I can't remember now) Peeled them all off... remember being a bit upset.... looked much better without the sticker. These were labeled AF-301's the following year, no stickers.
  19. Reading this.... makes me think that the correct "flex" is very important. While I completely agree tempo is critical it also makes me think it's about matching SS as well. When I swing a bit easier (I-10's) I seem to lose the ball to the right as you've mentioned. When I swing harder (still in tempo as I strive to do this) my ball seems to play much straighter. As I've always kinda thought, the correct flex is very very important and the window for error (SS) is much smaller. "When breezy, swing easy" or at least don't swing any harder. :)
  20. If the OEM reps were standing in line to pay me to play their clubs I'd take PRGR's money first, then Epon followed closely by Tourstage as much as I despise TM I'd play a TM JDM bag if the price was right........
  21. PRGR ID-BL's Exactly what you're looking for.
  22. Looks like Roger had a hand in designing these.............
  23. I didn't care for the original (2011) version or the 2013's. Just felt chunky to me. Never got the feel and performance everybody else got. The 358's are a huge improvement in my book. Really like the finish/plating/color Quality is outstanding and noticeable Playability is about as good as it gets. The only thing I'm still trying to get used to is the square top line. For me, if they would have just rounded it off even a little bit these would be the perfect set of irons.

While it may not impact actual performance of a wedge, I do believe looks are important. Confidence is very important and looking down at something that looks good to you does make a difference.
  25. The Labo F358 5 wood (little brother of the TS358 3 wood) is so good it has kicked out any and all 3 woods right out of the bag.
