Bridgestone TourStage X-Blade CB Forged Iron 2008 model
With the 1150's they are not a high launch. Med trajectory. I'm sure their are different shafts that could turn them into a higher or lower launch.

New irons and how to protect them-
I actually have a set of irons I bought just to practice with. When I'm going to go to the range and just practice it is usually the set I take. However.. when practicing with my "#1" irons I make sure the ball I am hitting is clean. I also have a very wet rag to wipe the club after every couple of shots. Keeping the sand and dirt off the club face helps keep the wear at a minimum. I also do it (wipe the club) as I like to see the ball mark on the club as it helps me see where I'm striking the ball.... and it helps slow me down so I don't start hitting balls to quickly. Keep an eye on e-bay as used clubs with your specs do come up now and then. Finding a set with your specs and pretty well worn will sell for cheap.

G-Field Wedges Redo
Nice to see people having fun with the game. Wedges look great. Did you hit them before you refinished them?? if so... Do they spin the ball better after refinishing them??

Bridgestone TourStage X-Blade CB Forged Iron 2008 model
I have played about 10-15 rounds with my set. They are shafted with NSPro 1150's. Excellent Irons. Best way I can describe them is "solid" I do prefer my Epon 301's over them. The Epons have an overall better feel and are more workable. I have had a set of 501's... IMO, the TS cb's are probably a bit closer to the 501's than the 301's You can't go wrong with either set. Looking for more forgiveness, I would say the TS cb's or the Epon 501's would be the way to go. Looking for more blade like performance with not quite as much forgiveness then the Epon 301's would be the better fit. If it comes down to wanting a cavity back with the best feel and workability then IMO the Epon 301's are the best.

Question on Gold's Factory putter finish
I have a black ox and a teflon finish. At the end of the round I wipe down the Teflon finish and let dry. Once or twice a month I put a couple of drops of baby oil on my finger tip and smear on the Putter, then wipe off. If you keep this Putter clean and dry the finish will last for years. Mine is about a year old now and could still pass as new. I ALWAYS have a cover on the Putter unless I think there is moisture on the Putter after a "wet" round of Golf. Post some pics of your "baby" when you get it!!!!

2008 Epon 208KGX Wedge w/PICS!
I personally prefer a heavier shaft in my wedges... I'm very partial to the Black Gold Shafts. The 1150 tours are an excellent choice as well. Probably couldn't go wrong with the S400. For a bit lighter shaft the S200 is a good, consistent shaft.

Trying to get Epon's right...may have the answer

Any playing review or impressions of the fourteen new sf306?
First let me say that I have no problem getting a ball in the air... I would consider this a medium launch. I can also hit it low very easily. I think most folks would have a harder time getting this to launch high. This is an excellent 3 wood for someone who likes to hit 3 wood off of the tee.

Sorry for the late replies.. have been out of town... :) Stock shaft. I would say it plays very close to Stiff compared to everything else. If it were to lean one way or the other it would lean toward stiff-reg. This is the best "stock" shaft I have played. Wish I had a 206 to compare it to. I will measure the face.... I am 100% in love with this 3 wood. Look for a measurement later... :) (as soon as the wifey gives me a sec after we get unpacked.)

JDM Utility Wood/Hybrid Recommendation
First thing I would consider is your specs. Standard??? 1-2* flat??? 1-2* upright??? For the more flat lie I would consider Fourteen and PRGR. Standard to upright I would consider Tourstage and Royal Collection. Many many excellent JDM clubs. Most important is to have it fit your specs. You might want to consider the Epon Forged 2008 AF-901 Utility Clubs if you like the look of an Iron type utility. They can also be bent flat or upright to meet your personal specs.

wedge groove life
IMO.. I can't imagine that a wedge would not last at least a full season. (Jan to Jan) I'd be surprised if anyone hits a wedge practicing and playing any more that I do. I play all year, I don't have a winter season. I play at least 3 times a week and hit about 50 to 100 practice shots a week with my wedges. Hope this helps..

Any playing review or impressions of the fourteen new sf306?
I wish I had the PRGR to hit and compare to this one. Played again today and all I can say everybody wanted to know WTF this club was. AWESOME club. Off the tee is almost as long as a driver... Looooong and forgiving, very workable as well.

Well... After hitting at least 30 shots on the Golf course, both off a tee and off of the fairway. This beauty has officially made the #1 bag. Sound - A bit on the tink side... certainly not loud - medium to quiet Feel - I would rate the Epon slightly better here but again very solid. No complaints. Set up/ Look - I like the larger size head. For me it inspires a bit more confidence. I feel like I can't miss with it. Performance - Outstanding - I can tell you it is the longest, most forgiving 3 wood I have ever hit. Very very accurate as well. This 3 wood comes from the factory 2-3*- flatter than most other manufactures. This is perfect for me. At 5'8" and a fairly flat swing I'm able to make better contact. Most of the 3 woods are a bit to upright for me. The only thing wrong with this club so far is I have hit it too far a couple of times.

Does Epon have a 48* Wedge?
I don't think I've seen one... Bend the 208KGX from 50* to 48*, the bounce will end up 8* The older models, X-wedge, Technity, 50* wedges were 6* bounce I believe. Bend one of those to 48* and you will have a 4* bounce.

Golds Factory Stage 4 - 5 Wedges
Stage 4 come "stock" as A wedge 52/8 S wedge 58/12 Considering they are made/ground by Sasaya, I would think you might be able to have the bounce of your choice?!?! I played with them again today and am starting to dial them in.... they really are amazing. The spin is like no other. I was able to back up a few shots today on greens that don't normally let you back up a ball on. I have to keep a ball in my pocket and play when I am going to hit a wedge shot so I don't ruin a ball every time I hit them. I need a ball sponsor.

Golds Factory Stage 4 - 5 Wedges
Still haven't taken out the Stage 5 and played with it.. not sure I will any time soon. BUT, I have been playing the Stage 4 wedges the last few times out and can tell you that these wedges have BY FAR, the sharpest grooves of any wedge on the planet. If there is such a thing as to sharp, these are it. The spin and damage to the golf ball is incredible. I have decided to buy stock in Titleist (balls).... The only wedge, JDM and USDM I haven't hit recently to compare to are the Yamaha's. I would assume the Yamaha's are similar to the Vokey SM's, Epons etc. So... it's settled. The wedge that has the sharpest grooves, the most spin are the Golds Factory Stage 4 wedges.

Epon Blades
Aren't the TB1000's considered Cavity Backs???

Any playing review or impressions of the fourteen new sf306?
Showed up today... Noticeably larger in size. Much deeper face, comparing to an Epon and G-Field. Very clean looking. I must say I really like the look. Played 9 holes with it in a 30mph wind. Left the Driver in the bag and hit it off the tee and a couple of times off the deck on the par 5's. The set up, the size gave me a sense of confidence. I'll review in full after a couple of more rounds... Epon on right, G-Field on left

Epon AF-201 3wd
That's right.... and I have them installed in the Epon Fw's as well. If you like the lighter shaft go with the 55. I found (for me) the 65 to be perfect for the 3 wood. My Driver SS is 100-105 when I get loose :) I would suggest the S flex unless your tempo is extremely/exceptionally smooth.

Low bounce lob wedge
IF.. I was looking for a low bounce 60* wedge, I would find myself an Epon X or Technity 60* wedge they have 6* of bounce.
