i am nuts for illegal Stuff
I have the Stage 4 Golds Factory Wedges... They absolutely eat the Golf Ball. I think if you weren't careful you could cut your finger running it across the grooves. When I play them I keep another (used) ball in my pocket and set down to hit with the wedges to keep from ruining a good ball.

Did you know that you are required to post a review after you get them and had a chance to hit them Looking forward to the review... It has been my opinion for some time that for the money the Epon wedges are the best wedges on the planet.

Master Sasaya's PZ Insert Alternative
Re Loft: I had wondered the same thing. But, IMO don't change it. I'm glad I didn't. Trust the Master. I have a Bett with the FIT grooves also. Very nice Putter. Very interested in your opinion after you've had a chance to roll the Golds and the Betty side by side. For me, nothing has come close to knocking the Golds out of the bag. Feel wise or Performance wise. Another thing for me that seems to make a big difference, is the way the Golds sets up... just something a little bit different.. IMO it just sets up better.

Master Sasaya's PZ Insert Alternative
C, I made a post a while back that says something to the fact that you will not be buying any more Putters once you get one made for you, to your specs, with the PZ insert or now the PZ milled face, by the Master.

Master Sasaya's PZ Insert Alternative
Chris is the one to have the exact answer, but... You can send your Putter back to the Master and have whatever you want to have done, added/done to the Putter. I don't believe any of the Masters Putters require periodic milling unless you are using the Putter to the point of needing refinishing. I have played no less than 80+ rounds with my gamer, practiced extensively, and it is still in excellent condition. Granted I take care of my Putter, it is very durable. This is the one club that if you get done right, (and I have) that you will be the most happy with. Worth every dime spent and then some. Can you tell I love my Golds Putters???????????

Fourteen: 550 or 770?
I haven't had the pleasure of hitting the 770's. I know they are very, very similar in size and shape. aj has hit them both I believe. aj??? or anyone else?

Exotic Wedges!
First off... WELCOME!!!!! How far is Gocchin from you??? Getting properly fit is #1 IMO. The Lie in particular. Are you a digger or a sweeper? What are the course conditions of the courses you play the most, hard/soft sand, hard/soft fairways, deep/light rough, etc. Many other factors... but I agree it's hard to make a decision with out hitting the club. So... we need to know everything about your playing conditions, swing and game to try and help.

Master Sasaya's PZ Insert Alternative
Don't look back... You will have no regrets.... get ready for the best Putter on the Planet... I don't know why but I think the insert looks better and is going to have the best feel of the two Putters... I like the look of the little screws...
-
Shafts that let you feel.
I'm still stuck on the Black Golds. Medium ball flight, NO ballooning. I get great feel from the club head. not the shaft. I think what I like the most is the consistency. When I'm swinging a good smooth tempo swing it seems the ball travels the same distance every time.

Master Sasaya's PZ Insert Alternative
I kind of thought it was just a matter of time before this happened. and I thought I was thru buying Putters.... looks like the drawing board is going to be busy again... Sadly, I have to know if one is going to feel better than the other. Actually can't imagine it could be much better but only one way to find out!!!!

US versus Japanese putters

Gold's Factory Update 11/2007
Pretty obvious that the Master... IS.. the Master IMO, Sasaya-san is the best Putter Maker in the World.

US versus Japanese putters
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait to see pictures. Do you have to wait for the ice to melt or do you have a place you can try it out when it arrives??

Favorite Wedge?
C, Probably why the graphite shaft works better in a wedge for you than it does for me. I'm much more a sweeper than a digger. As the weather gets colder and the ground gets harder I find myself trying not to "dig at the ball." Come summer time this is not the case... The graphite shaft would tend to smooth out the shock better than steel? We are truly blessed with all the different options available to us!!!!!!!!

Favorite Wedge?
I have so many favorite wedges... For the money I think the Epon wedges rule. I love the X-wedges but think the most underrated wedges are the Technity's. The big ticket wedges, I like the Chikara's. I have found I can take almost any of the top wedges and make them perform. For me, the shaft doesn't seem to be as important to make the wedge perform. More related to the feel of the wedge. But... my Tourstage wedge with the graphite shaft is the one wedge I don't really care for. Doesn't seem to be consistent or feel right/good... to me. Guess I should put it in the BST....

epon460 vs. fourteen jc707 : how am I supposed to choose?
I have played most drivers... except the Fourteen. With the right shaft you can't go wrong with the Epon Driver. I was killing it today... the colder temps (50*) didn't seem to bother it at all...

Gold's Factory Update 08/2007
I was actually just checking out the grooves on my Golds PZ insert Putter. Looks brand new still with absolutely no sign of wear. I have practiced and played with this Putter extensively. If I had to guess I'd say I've hit 3-4000 Putts??? Just a guess of course but probably not to far off. Scroll down to the bottom of this page http://forum.tourspecgolf.com/index.ph...=24160&st=0 and you can see the Betty I thought might knock the Golds out of the bag... no way, no contest. The Golds is just simply the finest Putter I have ever Putt with. Remember, the Master will make you a Custom Putter.. I don't think length and certainly not head weight, is going to be and issue. Good Luck
