My first attempt. Lighting sucks, it actually turned out better than I thought. I'm ready to do the rest of the set now. Santinized on the left...

So... let me get this right. There is nothing applied to the club? It's all about roughing up (gently/barely) and smoothing the surface?
  4. I saw those on his website... I was hoping that was what he was up to. Being able to order custom grinds and finishes will make this a hard set to pass up. Do we know the metal used? S20/25? Custom stampings would be cool also.
  5. I was reading somewhere that they will only be offered with KBS Tour shafts? More info please. Clubs available? 3-PW? wedges? Price?? 100 of the black and 100 of the satin or 100 total? I would think 100 total sets will not last long...
  6. So... that Putter for sale yet???? I know someone who might be interested...

There was a discussion here recently that led one to believe that the hosel may need to be drilled out to achieve the .355 taper fit. They are (irons) .355 taper fit shafts... your club maker may have to help achieve that spec.
  8. Ohhhhh Nooooooooooo My son is a Lefty and has been waiting for Epon to offer Lefties. I told him a year or so ago if they ever offered Lefty irons I would get him a set for his Birthday. I just figured I was going to be safe...
  9. Your pictures look so much better than the ones in the catalog, it's amazing. I must say I really like the look of these. The cavity back looks like it creates a nice "frame" for the ball. It would also seem it would give a little more support if the ball was hit toward the toe. Very nice.
  10. Sure, I can tell you about it.... They are completely worthless and don't Putt well at all.... so you should just send it to me so you don't have to worry about it. Well... actually Gocchin will have some information about this Putter. I know I tried to get one from Gold's about a year a go. They were sold out and I was told their would not be any more made. They are as much of a Collectors piece as anything.
  11. Looking at the face of the Driver has me feeling sorry for the Golf balls that are going to be pounded by it. Great look at set up.
  12. 1st off, Welcome The Miura 202's are a closer match to the Epon 301's, the Miura 301 is a bit more perimeter weight oriented. I would assume they (Epons) are slightly less forgiving, playing a bit more as a players cavity back. If you're striking the ball well and want a bit more playability you would love the Epon 301's, especially if you like the looks. Not sure you could say one is hands down better than the other one. It's which ever one sets up and looks the way you want/like, and suits your game best. Wish I could give you a comparison from hitting both, but I have not hit the Miura's.
  13. Nosiness forgiven. Yes, it is the 901. Graphite Design EV-7s I am a huge fan of GD and after studying the swing profile of the shaft I felt like that it would be the best fit for me of the stock shafts offered. The SW is D2 which is also my preference. I'm also starting to think that a lot of the JDM manufactures know which shafts perform best in their clubs. As of late I have had great success with some of the stock shaft offerings. The Graphite shafts for the Drivers and FW's in particular.
  14. I can promise you this, The Driver looks unbelievable in Person. It is gorgeous. At address it has the best look of any Driver I have ever had my hands on. Unfortunately I am still about 2 months from being able to hit it and give any feedback but, if the look and set up are any indication of how it is going to perform we have a winner here.
  15. I would have to agree It comes down to your involvement in the game. Most rookies most likely don't know what SW is. People that are in to the game are very aware of their SW

Epon AF 901 Utility Iron 19* Let me know, shaft doesn't matter. Would prefer it was in pretty good shape.
  17. My thoughts are out of that group the Tourstage might just be the best club for you. The stock shaft in R flex should be an excellent club for you assuming that the shafts in your irons are the correct flex for you now.
  18. Your Driver Swing Speed? Do you normally launch the ball high, low? What kind of ball flight do you want this club to produce?
  19. I would suggest a Fairway Wood Set up. Yamaha 2009 Inpres X D-fw - 5 wood 19* Fourteen 2008 SF308 FW - 5 wood 18* Their are so many more to look at but either of these will be much easier to hit than your Titleist. They will have larger heads that will inspire confidence much like your 3 wood does. Good Luck
  20. Couple of questions... do you prefer the hybrid look over an over sized driving iron look? Perhaps a FW instead? Do you get along with your 3 wood?
  21. The wedge you have pictured is not the stock Technity wedge. I believe Carl ground that wedge for Chris just before he started making his own wedges. If I remember correctly it was one of the last wedges he ground before his prototypes arrived. I picked up the wedge from Chris knowing it was pretty much one of a kind. Yes, they do come out of the sand easily. Open up the blade just a little more? Swing just a little easier?? First time I've heard someone say their club gets the ball out of the sand to easily. :)
  22. STILL one of my favorite wedges. The one pictured above is a special "Chikara" grind. That club resides in my "extra special wedges bag." :)
  23. Tatsuro, I'm betting that this set you reviewed had the KBTour shafts in them. If so, what did you think of the shaft? If not, what shafts were they? Thanks
  24. T Would it be worth trying to contact them to see if they can/would bend a FW 2-3* flat? I know someone who would but 2 of them.... :)
  25. Best JDM Driver in 2008. Epon EMB I'm startin to lose my hearing so the sound doesn't bother me, however it did startle me when I hit it for the first time. Forgiving, long and just fun to play. Best JDM Iron of 2008. Epon AF 301's I've enjoyed every shot. They are on their way back to me having just been re shafted with KBS Tours. I love the feel, look and versatility. Best JDM Wedge of 2008. Gold's Factory Once you get past the price they are the best overall wedge. They are easy to dial in and they spin the ball better than any other wedge on the Planet. Best JDM Shaft of 2008. For the Driver, their were a couple I did not get to try that I wanted to, but I got along very well with the Roddio. I like the feel and performance and confidence I get with it Best Course you played on in 2008 Wolf Creek in Mesquite NV., hands down. Challenging. Scenery. Different. Everyone needs to go play this course if the chance comes along. Best shot you made in 2008. Cut the corner on the Par 5, #18 at Southgate GC. Had a 170 yard downhill shot in. Flushed a 6 iron and watched it hit the front of the green trickle toward the hole and disappear!!!! Why????????? My 1st and probably my only Double Eagle/Albatross. Best Pro player in 2008. Still, Tiger Woods with Padraig Harrington making a strong bid to change that. Tiger is still the Man to beat when he is on the Golf Course. And if you guys would have asked for the best JDM Putter... (drum roll) Gold's Factory The Master rules making Custom Putters.
