  1. Man, those are clean!! 100% clean. Are those steel shafts in the Woods?
  2. I think the R9 officially went on sale this last Tuesday? If it wasn't Tuesday it was Wednesday, anyway I'm thinking there are some pretty upset people reading this right now.... it's like the guy who buys the newest latest and greatest computer and they have a new one that's even better for sale before he even gets it home. If I owned one of these I'd end up in a straight jacket by the time I moved this thing around trying to figure the perfect setting.. only to have my swing be just a hair different the next day and wonder if it was in the optimal position... I'm going crazy just thinking about it.
  3. He hasn't been able to wipe the grin off of his face long enough to take any. I'll get on him tonight...
  4. IMO, If you are hitting the ball well they both feel fantastic. The Gold's have a slightly more clicky feel. When hit flush I'm not sure one feels better than the other. The sound off of the epons is more muted. Again the difference is so slight. I'm not sure the shaft isn't the most important factor in deciding between the two. I'd take the Gold's hands down over the Fusions any day... are the Fusions really forgiving? No offense but they look.... well lets just say they're not my style. :) I guess I should go and hit them before being so judgmental. I also played the J's and Af301's. I'm going to say that you can't tell the difference between them. I couldn't. Sweet covers, let me know if you find a set. Pick one up for me.
  5. Which headcover? The sock? I have played both, alot. Forgiveness I would give to the Gold's. It is not much difference. But the Gold's CB's, IMO, are slightly more forgiving.
  6. I'm in love with the 2009 X-drive. Similar sound, slightly more dull. No katank or tink at all. Looks better at address, actually Perfect!!!!
  7. That's a tough one. I can't think of one that is for the most part the same. The one's that come the closest what comes to mind is: Epon Technity or Af101 Titleist D2 R7
  8. As xchangmanx said, and I agree 100%, the TS 901 is a gem. To save yourself a bunch of money unless you do want a new Driver, I would put in a Whiteboard in Stiff flex. Noticeably lower launch, lower spin.

I have about 7 rounds in with mine now. I also have a couple other sets of Irons that I've been wanting to take out and hit also. It might be a while before they get the chance because these clubs are so sweet I don't see them coming out of the bag anytime soon. Even for the sake of experimenting. It will happen, just not anytime soon. I'm enjoying the amazing feel and consistency these Irons produce. I'll add that I'm hitting the ball very well. If I was needing some forgiveness I'd be playing something else. They are for the good ball striker.
  10. I haven't played the Fusion irons, seen them. Overall size seemed comparable. The Gold's cavity backs are very blade like in size and appearance (at address) but much more forgiving. Mine had S200 shafts in them when I got them. I played about 5 rounds with them before sending them off to goodsie to have them reshafted with the KBS Tours. It was love at first swing and they stayed in the bag and would still be there if I wasn't such a ho and can't stop trying different clubs. They are very clean looking and have a fantastic blade like feel. The cavity backs are a much closer match than the blades compared to the Fusions.
  11. I've been begging for a Gold's Factory Bag of any kind for almost a year now. New or used. Still no luck.

What is it that would make the Webb Putter better? If it's a great Putter why does he want to trade you? Your Gold's can be customized a thousand different ways... I guess I find it hard to believe that you would be trading for something that is going to be better than what you have. An answer style is an answer style...
  13. At address they look very similar but the 308 is larger. Perimeter is close but it is slightly deeper. I have read a lot of reviews of both Fourteen FW's and have yet to find a review that wasn't positive. I even found the stock shaft to be quite good as well.
  14. The 206 and 308 FW's are excellent. The lie is 1-2* more flat than most which is another reason they work better for me. Head size is slightly larger as well. Very easy to hit. I have not hit the 707 or the 808.
  15. I struggle with this, can't seem to make my mind up and go back and forth with a large contributing factor being the Golf Course. Long course where I'm hitting middle irons to the Green I usually carry my PW-47*, 56 & 60* Shorter courses where I know I'm going to have a bunch of approach shots 100yds and in I throw the 52* in the bag and drop the 18 or19* depending on which clubs I have in the bag. And then there's the club ho in me that loves to experiment.
  16. I do. Switched out from Black Golds. Fantastic combo. Like Gocchin said, order them the Factory with the KB's.
  17. Please post a review!! I have a friend I am trying to push into a set of these and he is waiting to see how they perform. He really wants a forgiving iron (Mizuno) that hits it a mile when missing the sweet spot... which he often does... Thanks

Well... my 24 year old son will have a set of lefty AF 301's here in a couple of weeks. They are being built with KBS Tours. This will be his first JDM set. He is REALLY excited to get them and do a review of them after he has had a chance to game them a few rounds. He has had several different sets over the last few years but his favs are his Titleist 690.cb's w/ project X shafts. He hits the ball very, very well. If I had his ball striking or if he had my Putting, one of us would be on Tour. It's going to be fun and interesting to see if they knock the 690's out of the bag. Nothing else has been able to and he's hit most of the USDM offerings over the last couple of years. I have a feeling the 690's will be for sale soon.
  19. GD P9003X = .335 And I would agree on that being the shaft that should serve you best.
  20. I think your 1st look would be the new Tourstage 2009 X-Wedge 101 Seems to fit all of your criteria. 2nd choice might be the new Yamaha Inpress 2009 model. I'd start with the Tourstage. You can't beat the quality and they are reasonably priced. Good Luck, let us know what you end up with.
  21. October is a long ways away. I could wear a new club out by then.

I have a set of the 901's also. A couple of responses up, Goodsie has his thoughts as they (701's) are firmly in his bag at the moment.
  23. I would bet the Farm this is a Factory job.

I just got thru telling him it wasn't going to be until the end of the year. I have a feeling he will be one of the first to have a set of Lefty AF 301's w/KBS Tours - X flex
  25. Do you think that will include Lie adjustments on the FW's? Great news all the way around tho!!
