  1. That's a good question. My first thought was, of course they will but after thinking about it for a couple of minutes I'm thinking it may be just the opposite. If the 302's aren't a real improvement and or people don't like the looks as well they may hold their value quite well. I guess only time will tell.
  2. I don't have access to them (Epon) anymore. My guess is I'll pick up a set second hand as they become available. There a a lot of great clubs out there. I'm not having any problem finding plenty of them to hit. Heck, I might just settle on a set of clubs and play them for a full season. Quite honestly I couldn't be any happier with my WITB right now. I am going to pick up a set of the Forged R9 TP's when they are released. BUT, my favorite set and the irons I probably play my best Golf with and enjoy the most are my Copper "idrive" custom 301 Epons. I just want to keep them like new and have around for a long time. (I know, stupid, I should just play them and forget about it) But I play alot and could wear them out in a year or two easily.
  3. Being the ho that I am I thought I'd like to try the 302 and 502's to see what they were like, etc. I don't have that opportunity now. If it wasn't for prior knowledge (through TSG) of the clubs I wouldn't even know they existed. I was adding up how much money I've spent on Epon clubs over the last couple of years. If I posted the total people would call BS. Looks like I'm going to be able to retire a couple of years earlier now... :)
  4. My first thought was that it's the real deal. I don't know for a fact if it is or isn't. I was checking out the sellers prior sales and he has sold plenty of Betty's that seem to be the real deal. xxio, I'm curious, why do you think this is a fake?? Again, I'm not disputing anything. If it's fake I would have been taken...

    oops
  6. Size and shape/Looks: For me, they are the perfect shape. The size of most blades, with a thin top line and sole. From address you would think you are playing a blade. You do not see the "cavity" back. The finish is fantastic. Nice smoke color that is holding up very nicely. Not to dark or light. Mine are shafted with the KBS black nickle shafts and do they look good. Possibly the best looking (IMO) set I've seen. Feel: Not what I am used to. I am a blade/players CB player. I love feedback for hitting both good and bad shots. They do not feel as soft as most blade/players CB's. Much more difficult to feel the ball coming off of the club. I think "muted' would be the best way I could describe it. This was possibly the most difficult thing for me to get used to. Don't get me wrong, they are as solid or even more solid feeling as any club. But to tell where you hit the ball a lot of times requires a look at the club face to see the ball mark. Forgiveness: This is where they shine the brightest. They are by far, the most forgiving club for their size I have ever hit. Shots hit out toward the toe seem to go as far as a ball hit in the sweet spot. Even shots hit high up on the club face carry very well. Overall they are extremely forgiving. Quality: I don't think it could be any better. My personal thoughts: Excellent grind for most conditions and players. If you are a digger you will really like the grind. If you like to pick the ball and play on very hard fairways they might have a bit too much bounce for you. They play best when you go after the ball, aggressive swings seem to be better than timid swings. If you are looking for a smaller head with all the forgiveness you can get you can't go wrong here. If you are a feel player and strike the ball extremely well and don't care about forgiveness I would probably look elsewhere. Am I glad I bought these? Yes, but I will admit that it took me longer to "dial" these in than most other sets that I have played with. I wish I would have put some range time in first before heading out right to the course with them. I struggled with them right out of the gate. Now, they are working quite nicely, Thank You!!!

Square. I have to say I forgot to ask Goodsie what it ended up at. It was built to for a 100mph swing. I have a guy I play with that swings a nice smooth 110mph. He had no problems with the shaft and was hitting it dead straight.

Here it is. :) Kamui Loft: 11* Kamui Face Angle: Square 0* Kamui Lie Angle: 58* Kamui Head Weight: 201g Kamui Finish: Metallic Black Pearl I asked if they could get the lie angle to 57* even though it wasn't an option. It turned out closer to 57* than 58* I ordered head only as I already had the Griffin Proto. Goodsie installed the shaft which he pure/flo'd. Swing weight came out at D3 at 45" length. At this moment I don't think I would change anything if I were to start over.

Just got off of the Golf course. Round 6 and I have this thing DIALED. Didn't miss a fairway today, my confidence in this club is just overwhelming. EVERYBODY I've played with has hit this club and absolutely loved it. One of the guys in the group today thought he was going to play it as if it were in his bag... after the third hole I had to tell him that I love 'em and all but you need to get your own!!! I am in love with this driver and shaft combination. For the money, compared to anything else out there this is the way to go. Custom lie, loft, face angle, weight, finish, hand made and I promise you it just screams quality. The sound is perfect, the feel and results are even better. Can you tell I Love this thing???? This is a must have if you're looking for a Driver.

Played 5 rounds with it now. No range time. I love it. Took about 9 holes to dial in. What nobody is saying that I've noticed as much as anything is how forgiving it is.
  12. I have a couple of rounds in with the Proto's now. If you're a digger you'll love the 58*. I've only hit a couple of full shots and you will not dig with this club. Most of the shots I hit were the very delicate short sided no green to work with shots. The club opens up and lifts the ball and sets it down perfectly. Saved myself a least 2-3 shots yesterday. The grind is extremely versatile. Playing again this afternoon, plan on hitting a shag bag before the round. I'll get a review up tonight.
  13. Any update? I'd sure like a pair of these....
  14. Had this shaft installed in my Kamui. I must admit that I'm very happy with it. I can swing easy or step on it and get great results either way. For the most part the ball wants to go straight but can still be worked to go left or right. The ball flight is perfect and although I haven't had it on a launch monitor you can tell it is a lower spin shaft. Very happy with this shaft. If I had to discribe it in one word it would be "smooth". I think I'm really liking this lighter weight shaft thing....
  15. I've had the DP2010 - 50* in the bag for about 2 weeks now, the 54 and 58* Proto's will be here in a couple of days. The 50 is a 51 I had bent when I originally ordered it. No need to wait and play this wedge any longer to tell you this isn't leaving the bag anytime soon. This wedge is money. I can't wait to get my hands on the Proto's. I'll review the wedges in detail after I get the DP2010 proto's and have a chance to hit them. Goodsie says the Proto's look great. I have a feeling you're going to really like these. Looking forward to our game!!
  16. Here's my point and I'll let it die. Any Golf Brand on the Planet could go out of business tomorrow. Oh well, you'll buy from someone else. If a product you like is no longer available to you, oh well you'll be disappointed and you'll buy something else. To make a product and not make it availble to you is stupid. I do not and will not have a club fitter any where near me to be fit and buy EPON. Quite frankly if not for TSG I would have never heard of and certainly not bought an EPON product. Quoting "IMHO, the praise have been overblown.. EPON are good but not hugely superior to other products" If you read that you're saying they are superior, just not HUGELY superior, but superior none the less... Who doesn't want to buy the best if it is available to them?? I have no problem buying other brands, I already do. I buy just about every other brand there is. EPON will just not be one of them anymore. Oh well... Now, I'm off to hit my new Sky Dream Jump Irons. :)
  17. I bought mine "heads only" and had Goodsie install KBS black nickle shafts. They look fantastic!!! No problems with the irons and Goodsie did not mention any problems installing the shafts.

  19. I've had these in the bag the last couple of rounds. Just wondereing if anyone else might be playing these and what they think of them. I'll have my review at the end of this coming week after I've played 4-5 more rounds with them.
  20. Marty, I have to say that I really don't agree with you. TSG serves far more people and reaches much further than losing "one account" in Japan. Even in Japan Epon is not that well known and no where near as big a player compared to Taylormade, Titleist, Mizuno, XXIO, Tourstage to name just a few. Epon never even makes it into the shootouts conducted in Japan. Check out the top 5 survey gocchin posted that was done in Japan. Epon is not on any list. They would fare much much worse outside of Japan. Outside of Japan Epon is known because of TSG. IMO the majority of their dealers exist because of interest generated by people that have seen the brand here at TSG. Without TSG generating interest people are not going to look for or know anything about this brand. Setting up KNOWLEDGABLE dealers is going to be a very slow and difficult process. Nobody anywhere near me is going to carry them. Their exposure is and more importantly sales, are going to suffer greatly. Hey their choice to shoot themselves in the foot.
  21. Marty, Maybe, maybe 1 out of a million will go to Japan for a fitting. Even if it's not about money it's about time.... If I was wasn't so pissed off last night I might have been able to post what you've said here because it is spot on. Another spot on reply. Epon is going to disappear. I'm willing to bet money their sales, outside of Japan are going to drop. Clubs and accessories. Without TSG I would have never heard of and obviously bought an Epon product. I could go buy a new car with the money I've spent on their clubs. I've been bugging Chris for a new Driver, would have ordered at least one new set of irons, probably the 302's. Not going to happen now. .
  22. So does this mean "Goodsie" can sign up and be a retailer/fitter/builder??
  23. Bad move for Epon. MANY OF US KNOW OUR SPECS Ordering with our specs through TSG has always been an excellent experience. At this point Epon has lost a good customer. I also realize that Me not buying their eq. isn't going to make much of a difference to them. Bad move Epon
  24. I have had the PPM's in play for about the last 5 rounds. I have tried (and have) to put them through all the lie's and situations you run into on the course. Out of the rough: they simply excell. The ball comes out easier and cleaner from the tall grass compared to any other iron I've hit. Actually, lets just get right to the chase. These are the best blades I have ever played and have knocked the AFTours out of the bag. Still love the AFTours but these are just more playable. There isn't a more solid, better feeling or performing blade. You guys have 48 hours to snatch the set on ebay or I'm going to. They are just that good. Obviously... this is just my opinion...
  25. Unfortunely, they "went under". A couple of places had some remaining stock but it is getting very hard to find. Sad because they were very popular from their woods down to their Putters. IMO, most all of their clubs were very good. You really couldn't go wrong with any of them.
