  1. Anyone hit this srixon yet? Any comments on the driver?
  2. 1150gh tours are pretty solid in my wedges
  3. I've been trying out the Srixon urc. Soft off all my clubs, good spin. Same as always the cover gets messup by the 4th hole. But I have the same opinion, Bridgestone and Prov1 are what I play most of the time.
  4. I think its around D2.
  5. Bought the Stock EMB 9* stiff. Played for 3 weeks. Very long but hooking alot. Put a Rombax pink 6x07 stiff cut to 44.5. Vector says a 18 yrd and a almost a degree of difference on launch from the stock GD shaft for me. I stay around 103-105 this club is great. Fantastic medium flight w/around 2500rpm and tons of roll. I really enjoy the smoothness feel of the rombax x series, specially the 7x07s and x. I honestly like the feel of the rombax mated w/the 460zr more than the solid smooth kick of the GDMD7. MD7 wins over ball flight and ball speed. I just prefer the rombax feel. Back on the EMB. Pink rombax is cool to look at... comments all around, and the forgiveness is great.
  6. The Ion finish really looks attractive. I plan on picking up this driver head and placing a F7M2 to see how much spin I get... quick question for all those who have bought Geotech, do Geotech woods come w/a head covers?

Got on the launch monitor w/the EMB before and after the Rombax Was doing 3028rpm at 14.2* launch w/107 ss w/the stock shaft. Ball goes high draw or a hook. Abit whippy for me. Not the roll im looking for, but the forgiveness is all there. W/the Rombax, I get a medium traj at 12.8* but the rpm is a big difference I stay below 2500RPM w/the rombax around 105 ss, which is great for me. Vector says I'll carry about 250get about 40+ yrds of roll @ about 290+ @105ss. The MD7x w/AF101 launches at 13.1* w/a 162.3 average ball speed. I get a more carry w/the MD7 but less roll than my EMB w/the pink rombax. Still the AF101 is much more comfortable at address for me. But the EMB is getting raves from me friends.

I know what you mean, my club fitter commented how visually attractive the carbon ferrules are. He didn't know where they were from but indeed they are rare. I was sad when he told me he couldn't save my EMB carbon ferrule when I swapped the stock shaft out. But its all G, cuz the pink rombax w/the EMB is stunning.

    Does the drivers come w/headcovers?
  10. Sorry bliss, currently the epon 3 wood is in my bag, and I've only had the pleasure to hit Genji's M3hit. I'm also always on the hunt for a M3 hit 3 or 5 wood.
  11. Go w/Epon, or PRGR hit. Epon is all about the feel and quality. I hit my spoon clean 250, best feeling ever. PRGR hit 3 wood for forgiveness, is a second for me because of the ease of use. Both are very expensive, but find a good second hand one and its all G.
  12. Spending that much money, why not go w/Epon and buy the best? EMB = XR, and AF101 =Legacy? I have all 3 of the 4, only the XR isn't in my collection. But I can say the EMB goes straight, and the AF101 is a huge cannon.

    Oh yeah!! Epon FTW

Honestly to me it looks the same.... but my friends say the 101 is smaller than the ZR

I've now hit both, The AF101 is longer for me, feels incredible, and easy to work. EMB is great at going straight. I've been able to hit it twd the toe alittle farther and w/slight draw, and even though its a 9 degree the ball gets in the air nicely. The sound isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Couple of my friends swing at 115-120, they make it sound damned good. Overall, Id buy the AF101
  16. The gold finish won't hold up well if you play alot. They won't hold up in the sand at all. For this reason I bought a second set, for the daily grind. Satin is the most durable I believe.
  17. I agree, the prgr is a has the depth, shape and shade I look for.... its just nice to look at.

You put that in your high bore R? Hehe I picked up a EMB and its good fun, kinda loud but good fun.

I like Fuji rombax x and GD's MD7 series. Fuji 7x07 in my 460ZR and the pink version in my 460GR. I also play MD7 mated to the AF101 head; I'm a happy camper w/this setup. Love the feel. Also, I just p/u a EMB w/stock shaft; I'll prolly end up putting a rombax or MD7 or an 8 in the EMB. I'll try and use the stock shaft couple more rounds. I think it has alot of tourqe for the smoother swinger.
  20. Randy, Randy, might wanna try out the epon KGX wedges, they spin alot for me. Dulled them down and they are still spinning. Tim
  21. I'm most pleased w/the Epon 208 wedges. I'm a wedge guy, and I've tried alot; hands down best wedges I've ever invested in. So good I bought a backup set. They work w/any shaft IMO. Second is the Tour AD MD7 shaft. I mated it w/an AF101. Very smooth, soild piercing bullets, that never stray left.
  22. Thanks guys! I pulled the trigger w/the 46", and I'm sure it'll work. Also ordered me a pink rombax!! gonna sample that bugga in the AF101.
  23. Kudos on that black GR driver!!

I'm gonna buy an EMB, and I'm lookin for input on what you guys choose. Stock is 46" but I don't normally play 46... I'm 5'6 and just wondering what length shaft you guys got in yours...
  25. Same here, 301/1150 5 iron is a great club. It feels like a no other, and it Epon STANDS ALONE on this one. One week amonth I take the woods out of the bag, and play that whole week w/only 5-lw and putter.... (long iron practice) FT. shafter GC is close to my workin place so its a easy and cheap round. It is a standard length GC, however, all the par threes are 220 and under and the only par 5 is a up hill 510 from the back. My epon 5 iron goes a steady 205, and 215 going at it. IMO Its a laser gun that allows you to shape the laser... Seeing, hearing and feeling the shot w/epon irons; is one of those things that just makes you wanna hit another shot exactly like it. (yet you don't wanna hit another, cuz it might not be that perfect) I know many concur, and I have many friends that love them, they just don't have the money to spend on Epons. (one of my friends, just borrowed my af101 and I didn't know about it) LOL
