ive recently reinstated both hthe syard t388 driver ( diamana x 70s ) and the xv 3w. im swapping the shfts over for a bit more than versatility that just a driver alt. the 3 wood goes form an aliislei 83s which was incredblie from a tee but asking abit much to be properly effective off the ground to somehting a little lighter, maybe a 70s 0r a 60s x of some kind. takes a while but u realise the folly of moving pieces u love eventually. and i def do not buy into the garbage that todays clubs are better than 10 yrs ago, its just rubbish. TM spend a trillopn bucks a year making the best e ver longest ever dirver 4 timesa seaon, when in fact the tec hthat goes into these heads in a vacuum on a swing robot is effectively.................................... wait for it. 1 yard longer per year , at best!!

right.. this thing above ,the syard was unbeatable. it beat out the prgr egg, i think bec the shaft at 83g is prob a tougher ask for me now, i cant get it ignite anymore so im changing that over to a 65x. get some weight off it but keep the taughtness, the shape of the egg is absolutely custom built for confidence in the puff which there was insane amounts, the slope rating skyrocekted most games, but the distance loss/ flight height was a bit too much to justify when the syard was spot on prety much every drive. As much as the heads are important, obv they are , the shafts maketh the club i firmly beleive and the diamana X shaftis perfect for waht i want. i played the qudra tp-x bimatrix , diamana aliislei and the tour ad pt 6x but none of them were a lick on the X, the tp-x is by far te best feeling, its got just a hint of kick whihc means it goes longer, that i have no doubt about and on a perfect day with no wind id take this one (astro tour10.5*) , u can feel the difference in kick, my mate used it on sat , used to be aq college golfer way back when and he jsut went wahts this ? love it . he plays the mizuno.diamanablack 60x and thought the astro tour was longer , no doubt. nice to hear.... the alislei has the smoothest silky tink feel it resonates in the fingers long after impact, i shafted a ton of clubs with this a while back, a few fariway woods, cpl of drivers beci just loved its feel, most of them stayed on the links at home but the X shaft has taken that role now and i jsut cant see me changing . The pt -x was prob the nect tightest but it just lacks feel, this is all about peformance, im going to re shaft this in a jbeam 435 and leave it back at home. that , works. the s-yard tho , i just cant forget how good this is a a build, its not heavy its not light, it looks like u can hit it anywhere but trying to hook it takes intestinal fortitude, the best shots i put on it consistatnly were a small cut fade/ its jsut does it with aplomb, teed it low to hit bullet like stingers from the top of te course , teed it high with the wind over the right shoulder and drew it , it really is PROB. my most versatile driver. , its a one stop shop head , IF u like, like i do, to try different things, its not the best autonmotron head one swing one thought, but it is a head for thinking. if ur not a pro.

Syard T388 10.5*/ diamana x 70s 45inch built this as a links buster (again) had it witha stinger but such low launch in the wet i wasnt getting the most out ofit, in normal dry conds its as good a build as there is but with the X shaft i have created a one stop shop. my links drivers are the taylor made tp09/bimatrix100x 44inch. prgr egg 7 9* / diamana aliislei 83s 44 inch jbeam 435 9.5*/ diamana stnger 71x roycoll 10.5* / waccine 83s each of these are great....., so long as its hard fast as it usually is and i grab a bunch of cheat miles on the roll out. But nit now, there aint none its wetter than an otters pocket so i need some arc. Hence this older esque classic, well broke that out today for the first time in yonks and absolutley kiled it with it.. not quite as high as iwas looking for Truth be told but the balance of carry , STRAIGHTand abilty to hit the ball 3 feet off the ground And high massive cuts is outstanding. the confidence with this is superb, the overall playabilty is extreme. I have no issues with gulp cut rightinto the creeks anymore. Iloved it. itslike using a rescue wood! feel is perfect ,nice crisp thwackand geat feel in the fingers.nothing at all not to like. Best aspect is unlike ur normal driver whre its bomb/ gouge this is a placement tool, swingaway full throttle and u get what u put in, take abit off and hit low bullet stingers, ,te it high and go ful aerial attack. similar outcome to the roycol but insteadof being short fat this is long elongated. absolulty not coming out of the links bag anytime soon!

its taking a bit ot time to get the distance wired , im long.., long a lot, its nothing like my usual gamers. I took my 2ball odyssey exo out a cpl of weeks back, put a new gripmaster fat round on it and have been so good with it, that is totally dffernt to the forged protype, they are nothing alike at impact. exo pings off, the face , the forged is soft and mushy. im long with exo / short with protype. ihad issues ponying up for the EXO but when i gamed if on day 1 and 2 over a weekend and i made EVERYTHING with it , all my buyer remorse fears were quickly gone . its weird , when i dont like the feel of somehting i wont play it much regardless of how good it is , its a legacy of lving in the belly of the beast where JDM EVERYTHING is avaialble to me every day but i will say in matches now for consequence i game the EXO. its funnny, bec i dont like that i dont like it but i do when theres cash, as much as i dont l ike to admit its prob my best putter for comp, its suits my stroke perfectly, this is what im hoping the easpade can replicate but in a steel head, its close but i need to tweek it a bit, get it more upright

oh u puit some STMs on these.. what are ur htoughts ? ive just re done a cpl of sets on mine with them. i LOVE these on wedges..... have 2 sets with them on, VERY taccy to me, easy to put on and quite firm feel i find..

The last 3 weeks has been all Benocks in play , i had this one out with a reshafted enzo with NS purple and super stroke wrist lok on sat also had a deep milled jbeam zy. if u cud ask to see 2 differnt feels in putters, it might be hard to beat these as examples. the jbeam is SO soft and mellow and sweet, with this its ALL about speed. im alwaya short with it, furstratingly so, they jsut dont drop, i guess IF i played one putter ( which wil never happen) then id get used to the butter feel and id make more for sure, but when ur going from one to the other things get messed up., luckily i no longer play for consequence so it dont matter. The Benocks, both of them are SO dense, so immediate so direct its unlike anyhting else ive got. nothing at al like a micro milled sus303 or GSS nothing what so ever, the face is unique. its utterly unique and takes time to get wired especially distance wise consistantly with it. the best example i can give is if u like to " pop " balls and stop at impact ala Brandt Snedeker kind of stroke ,then this is a wonderfull feel, thers nothing that goes off the face that ive hit quite like it. i can and do putt like this so for me this suits .If i go full small back and fast thru then this is hard for me to keep on the str8 and narrow distance wise, im kind of long, a LOT. but short back pop and stop this is the best ive seen by a mile. even the smaller compact, enzo has the same result but i can get a more contempora swing motion on it , this one is all about direction.ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i love this shape head and when im putting well i KILL these, same as with L shapes. but when im not on i struggle a lot, the ENZO has been a love grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr for me. the changing of shaft/grip was a HUMONGOUS game chager tho. i lengthened it to 38 inch and stood straight up with the new wirst lok and was knocking em dead all day but none fell. "NONE SHALL PASS............. said Bencok and the black knight!" but they were mostly pick em ups all day. im going to tinker a little more with the shaft length on both , ill prob cut the easpade to 33 and put a wrist lok on it and keep the wrist lok on the enzo and and shorten that to 36 or even og crazy and go to 33 from 38 to see how that plays. somwehre in the middle here is the answer im sure, but one thing , right now, this wrist lok grips had all my attention nad is going on a LOT of putter. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm , getting hard to take these out now.

can do shaft as well , yes, but not assembled, shipping is insane.
-
kind of mid but look sleek on the grass. play better of firner gras than lush. fast short fairways and these things rock!
-
ive not seen the kamui pro 12.5* but as u see with the new ones u have , they are kind of o nthe sleeker side than full. as soon as s isee a FW on a tee i think hook. so i need a big fat face. like the RC s, they are so fgood... the MFD is MILES bigger than the original eggspoon there is no similarity what so ever. the other one i beglected is the prgr nabla tour form about 6 yrs ago, that thing is a hamme ras well. left that in oz for my links. love t hat head,
-
good snare!!! they have been built by a pro builder. the specs on shaft are only done by the best guys as a custom build for someone . with these heads, they MAY look a little bit closed at address, particularly the 17.5 but they are not, its a bit like the jbeam 435 look to some., the 17.5 is very strong for a higher loft , very very good for slightly flatter grass than fluffy. yea GOOD pick up!
-
yup ,resahfted the17.5* tpx fairway 2 weeks ago with a crazy black 8.2, what a difference that made. thing is a missile now
-
very different clubs whish is why i also didnt put the original egg spoon in here. both the egga and ryoma for my play are fairway woods only. the thougth of putting one of those on a tee and the possibility of skyhook , is immenent on every tee for me . both the ryoma and egg ive yet to best for consistant distance form the fairway and doubt i ever will. but not for me for a driver alt. the ones above are much better suited for me.
-
well, i love it,, with the jbeam 435 , astro tour and this i pretty much have all bases covered ahh actually throw in the epon 101 or callaway erc3 adn theres no wortlds left to conquer............, the kamui tpx has a different kind of feel to the tp07. that is a muted thump ( DIAMANA X 60X ) dull but loudish where say thebeam 435 is dull but quiet. THE TP07 seems to sit on the face more and the tpx repels it , the tpx has a tingier sound like the epon /erc but not as pronounced. great great head, if u like a slightyl longer elongated head to a pure full roudned head. i play the 7d tpx and the tp07 diaman x in unison at times , in fact that s exaclty what ive got in the bag for this weekend. so i can do a proper current thought review on them on monday.
-
if u mean the head i put my 7d shaft in and have kepti it there over the other 20+ heads i have.. well yes... quite a lot actually . its my " game day" driver. esp if u like just a hint of a draw look at address or dont mnind shaping the ball ever so slightly. its worth the best shaft u have quite plainly.
