  1. hoping so. if it works as well in real as it did at the fitting, ill be a happy camper
  2. Ive got a cpl of Benocks, ive picked up different shapes over the years bec i like the design options ,i like the shape and LOVE the feel, i mean LOVE it, they have such a distinctive feel , its very addictive, nothing else feels quite like it , so one of them always seems to get a bag spot , even just to practice with before the match. As good as they are tho, i tend to muck about with them more than " game for consequence" bec the ones i have dont REALLY suit my stroke as well as id like , bec i didnt get them customed i got them 2nd hand , dont get me wrong i play them well enough nothing bad and there is no way they sit idle long ,i simply dont play them in comp much , nor for money bec. to keep those precious brown and white emperors heads in the sky rocket where they belong i prefer others. There is a caveat to my dliema however , the Easpade S-type, the one that i was fitted for at Benock acpl of yrs back which blew all the others out of the water for consistency both for speed and direction ( and it wasnt really close) but i didnt end up getting it prob due to as much to KKKKKorona biting and it has a head only a mother cud love , or so i thought ! WELL time it seems, is a fickle master and all i can say is it must have been divine puttervention bec last week im on the prac green putting , when an old acquaintence ive not played with in a long while pops over for a hello and pulls out a Bencok Easpade S type , MY PUTTER , immedialy i asked for a hit and naturaly , LOVED IT , turns out hes has been " struggling with it " , it simply wasnt working for him so he had an eye on changing shape and was considering this ones future. THAT dear friends is all i needed, it was my queue to strike , i made him an offer ,he cudnt refuse................! first game with it in a cpl of days
  3. addeds a cpl of new/old builds to the bags recently, none of which will be of any interest to pretty much eveyone bec they dont say TM on them but for those that like spice................ i have had 2 heads that ive been pondering what to do with for a cpl of seasons, the original shaft pairing didnt work out as well as id thought , but i KNOW the heads are super so ive switched the shafts about in them for much better results. first: the astro tour v2, this had a diamana stinger 71x in it but it was simply toolow to play most course and esp in summer when its moist , there was zero movement laterally so it had some use on super fast dry grass but it was a bridge too far most games , its a LONG driver head that is playable by us minions so i took that shaft and re deployed it to kamui pro 10* at 45.5 inch and that has been a reveleation! good lord that thing goes and goes and goes...... its a bomber but at 45.5 inch it can get a tad whippy if my timing is out and can move laterally a ways, on a good still day i take this out and give it some welly on the long par 5s andi odnthink ive got a longer combo, and boy does it feel GOOD! its not my dailly driver nor was it built to be, its Mjollnir. esp for htting big massive draws. SO much fun. but i digress...........back to the said new guys. the astro tour has now a fubuki alpha 70s in it and it trasformed this head into one of my better drivers. its not an iron rod , its got sole life and can be moved ever so slightly it jsut works , i was pretty shocked by how much difference there was but now its one of my go tos if i need reliability and a mid flight with bite and run. when they cut the fairways short and its a long course then this gets the bag spot. seriously chuffed by how good a aset up this is and how " nice" the shaft is. specs are 45.125 x 321 x d1 headshapse is deep but with an elongated oval face that looks like it wants to be hit over left field alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll day but is in fact a pretty straight shooter, or rather a head that can be hit whwere uwant it, its more of a point shoot driver and i dont try and get fancy with it its best served hitting straight, and for the most part ive not missed a fairway with it yet . give this ALL thumbs up for longer straighter , thinner tracks. not what id take out when theres a ton of dog legs bec the next one is for that! 11.5* callaway erc 3 / graphite design pt6x. 323 x 45 x d3 right this is quite different, the head is 203g its 11* but laucnhes like 9.5 its got a HUGE face the frames a ball quite unlike mnost, and the feel is insane,,,, equal of the epon 101 , in fact u wudnt know which one was whcih in a blind test. endo japan forged head form 2006. 450cc ALL face. the extra loft of it makes this a very differnt kettle of fish from the 9.5* head which is a pretty straight shooter. the 11* makes tree tops..................... almost dissappear...it makes open fields over jungle seem probalbe and new areas of fariwats to explore, in fact the hardest thing i find with this, is htting it straighter. when u look down at the face and its pointed skywards all sorts on manufactured shots spring to mind. its for the explorer.................. Long been afanof the GD pt model as well, love the looks of the blue on black hoops and the tighness of the impact , mid launching shaft that just does as it shud with no real bias, ND best thingit does NOT ballon. the extra weght keeps the ball to a high but straigh arc. its not a mega distance head ive found it to be a brilliant driver for hitting all carry manufactred drives on bendy tracks. i have the RC cv pro which does similar job, both are excellent, not sure which is better ttoally differnt head shape tho. very differnt drivers for very differnt roles on very different tracks. this one is for short , all carry is at a premium courses that have lots of bends. the feel of it is quite something to boot! just bec its older , dant mean is dead!
  4. ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yes they are worth gaming..................... !
  5. yea.., pondering what to do with is as the difference is enormous with this head. thump is a great shaft, got a 5w back homne with that its perfect , so is the GD hy as well.. yea i gotta swap it over. what u reckon about this, ive got a diamaan blue 73s in a 7w that is exactly the same length as the DI, cud swap that in maybe ?
  6. Ive been building again... this time driver alts, new course i play demands WAY waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more control than distance, bomb gouge dont work here unless i fancy goughing out of streams and 100 foot drops into the water table or bear traps . no thank you. course is only a 6000 ish yard snaking, dogleggy all carry ,frustration bu oh so beautiful red pine laden track so a driver isnt really what is best served on all but 4-5 holes , this thing can be MONSTER frustrating, its about " the greens " and getting into the good part of the green, if im errant on the drive its a 1/2>1.5 shot drop every time, no way theres a simply pop out nad get a par. if i hit , < 10/14 faiways here im toast So it was time to re emply and build a few accuracy/ distance clubs from the tee. heres what i came up with and have reinstaed dug out a cpl of old faves as well, pherrrr time dont weary good quality! the kasco fd 12.8* with GD p9003x and diamana stinger has been incredible its about 20 yards less than my driver ( when i get it ) but i very very rarely miss with this head , the fellas call it the aluminium bat, or the jpn sasquatch, TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINK.. but where the ball goes is quite heartening. its prob the best there is, prob is.. the shafts launch on the lower sie so when i need height on certain holes the alterantes to " the " alterante................., prgr egg MFD 15* with matrix tp7hd proto in jet black, cadero grip. just this doent move it has no idea of the word " draw" i think somoene cud use it as a laser pointer for straightedness. there is no arc. gamed it on sat at a tourny track and was so impressed byt its lack of movement, it just toinks dead straight with a bit of tee height adjustment i can get this over the tallest trees. its fantabulous that head, and ive found is semi hittable off the deck, not ideal but as long as theres some grass to hit down on, its doable but not ideal. fourteen ut 716 16* di, this thing i have in 21* with a diamana stinger in it and for long par 3s is my go to, it can and does get hit off the ground but its forte is from a tee, repalced the stock shaft ( which makes it much beter of deck) with the diamana and yea , best off the tee , the head shape is for wood preference palyers over iron shape, its clearly longer than the honma tw ut 21* which i think ill loose when im dead but it max's out at 200 for me so the 21* ut gets me prob another 15 yards over the honma , not enough to use from a tee of par4s so, in cometh the 16* version with an NS 105s steel , this was all about arrowness for short par 4s and that is what this is lights out for , its LOW,, even teeing it higher from a tee doesnt really make it soar its a links buster, hit run of for a high tee hitting to low fairway in the wind so it wont balloon , its excellent BUT^ it actually it feels toilet the steel and this head dont gowell for feel but the perfomance does, i hate the feel love the results, but im laothe to fix what aint broke performance wise, i hit this on links and its been a godsend. royal collection jp104 14* with diaman kaili 73s, oh my god ths is without doubt the best feeling fw ive ever hit. tiny pear shaped head, at address it looks like i can hit anythign in any direction at any height i want ,its a wizard wand, the view is one hting but the deliery is another, as a rule its like an arrow . not really hittable from the deck but from a tee where i want to shape shots this head is perfect, quite reminiscent of the cray fw head , short , compact, but with an elongate head as opposed to the crazy fat face. prob my fave wood of all woods. callaway erc3 11* driver with GDpt6x 44.5 inch the shaft keeps the head honest, taught super electric feel in hands, pay with tee hieght for shot selection, i can tee it very low and get a really nice worm burner stinger kind of drive or heigher than usual to get huge soaring bombs with back spin, its NOT about distance this thing, its about maxing carry and is my wet weather driver. quality build , parts are the top end, adds a bit more varience thant the epon 101 but is euqally great feel. if its wet.................. this gets the bag. onoff 10* type s with GD9003x 43.5 inch. yup a 43.5 inch driver with gripmaster leather for the wet. is it as good as the erc3 ? no way but it gives a sense of more comfort at address , again not about distance, its no slouch , its get there but its lot long, whenb i first built it i was mislead by the leenght of it , played a few on no wid days and its about the same as the kasco. bit more airtime on this and the swing weight at csomehting prob isnt ideal for me, but as long as i dont try nad kill it its excellent, this is more for shaping i can make this do anyhting , not my best feel club but for a reilable tee club this is tough to top. royal collection cv 13* with diamana blue (new version) cut to 4w length . LOW. LOW LOWLOLWLOWLOW.. this is LOW its almost liek it a gravity trap. and it will not move laterally what so ever in any direction ...........ever. its 100% from a tee wud rather try hit a 6* driver from the grass than this, and i need to tee it low, and not when its wet, its a dry grass ,wind beater hit run a MILE, doenst eve nsee mto matter which way the wind goes its the same, quite amazing esp as its the the same legnth as long driving iron, very specific club but on tis day ill accdept so substitute, so one track pony, i send it back to use on links only. solid contacts 2w 12* with diamana X 70x/diaman stinger 70s , quality,, absolute quality.... for movement in the air both laterally and height, exact same distance as the kasco , complete opposite feel sound. have been using this for centuries so it doesnt get the love it shud nad deserves , its a bit longer than i need and gets into bunkers more than the kasco does. where as the kasco is a cpl of yard movement laterallty this gets more, much prefer this head shape and is bascially max carry. if its wet id take this out , if its dry id take the kasco , head shape is the ONLY factor on this vs the kasco. i do prefer to play this cpl of snaps of my faves......,

    these are heads only now
  8. excellent, quite stiff, i found a wee bit boardy but also sort of damp , hard to expalin.. they wont fly all over the place thats for sure. played them cpl of times in wind and had no probsm thye look awsome as well. yea , im not an expert on cabon but id certainly have no issue saying they perferom very well. i kind of preferd the diamana fubukis originally found they flew higher and were a bit smoother but they got hammered in wind the mcis didnt. instead he filled him full of lead.............................,
  9. i dont mind a little bit of offset esp in CBs , the EPON CBs have a bit and it suits the head, im fidgety as a rule about offset but this doesnt worry me at all. the only issue i have ,which ive alwyas had with irons from EPON is they feel so damn soft and at compression i dont feel the ball as much as id like ! i feel like im hitting a great ball most of the time , which is great as a rule, golf sposed to be fun for gorrrsakes, but if im trying to improve i get a slightyl diluted feeling of excellence when its clearly a pure shot . the HONMAS in particular give me instant feedback without shuttering my elbow if imiss it and an insane dopamine rush when i get one ........, its complete feedback where ive hit it. they are dense soft , i just love those heads. fact is tho ............ the masdas im hitting the best AT the meoment so im playing these again .
  10. just in case theres one out there......,
  11. 2022 season up and running and its been awsome! 8 weeks in now ,no damn injuries from snow season to contend with,KKKKK-korona all but gone, courses are packed and expensive again! There may be more than some difficulties getting T- times but when uve been hitting balls on tracks as long as i have here, thankfully i still get some leeway. Its alllllllllllllllllllllll about the zen. Once again..... like every spring , ive scoured the shops looking for " something newer/better than what i have " , unlike most tho, i dont presume bec it was released 3 mins ago its gotta be better!! " its technology,, its better!!!" phaaaaaa, what crap! Once again, not ONE newer OEM piece have i seen that can knock whats in my bags , out. not wedges, not drivers, not fairway woods , certianly not any OEM irons....................... , but is EPON an OEM ?????? bec. the latest EPON af tours MB will be bagged soon, i had the CB which i liked ,a lot, i thought they were fantastic , so good in fact, my bud gamed em one day ,nicked em off me and ive not seen them again in my bag bugger wont relinquish them! I will grab a set of the MB instead of the cbs this seaossn for sure and shaft them up with maybe the NS anniversay 115s i think, i have a cpl of sets of these and really quite like the look and play of them , they may launch a little too high in epon heads tho, that is my only concern ,bit tough to test one out randomly when i know 100% the shimada 3001 or Ns super peening orange will be lights out in them .. oh yes id take any of those as a set up any day thanks! Speaking of which, the EPON heads have a non insignifcant redesign to them to the originals, less offset , smaller more comapct frame and a slightly differnt swoosh in the muscle. they look a bit more PLAYYYY-AHHHH than the originals which suits my eye nicely, not sure id ever give up the originals but can/ wud add the latest MB set to the stable , maybe not over a cpl of my more fancied sets , as it is im still gaming and cant see whn ill stop gaming the YAMAHA 2010 tours with crazy cbi80 ltd S, PRGR tr500/NS sp red s , PRGR idbl NS 2g18s protos when i facny as CB set but its been the MASDA mb NS stx and HONMA 727m NS 125s that im serisly hitting well. If i do get the EPONS, how do u make the call to play them over these ???????? post KKKKkorna problems to consider! So 2022 wood wise is all about the KAMUI PRO 10* tp09 with seven dreamers . my god that thing has jumped above all my old faves, FINALLY got it wired properly , the feel of it is insane, it launches ANY way i want, low screaming cuts or HIGH bomb draws , discovered its all about the tee height, its not as stiff as a cpl of my other j-beam beasts which i use when it blows but as an all rounder its just ahhhhhhhhhhhh..i cant get it out of the bag. This and the diamana X 60x astro tour 10* have had all the game time so far. FAIRWAY woods, well i spent the back half of last year rebuilding all my old shafts with a flurry of royal collection heads and its been a dream, had 12 shafts in the bin,so i traded a heap of unused irons and drivers for these and cant stop hitting on range with them. what i can say without fear of remorse is the crazy fw80 shaft is peerless when it comes to a stiff shaft that is electric in feel, completley automatic in its ability to do as its told , and IMPOSSIBLE to lose left........ utterly impossible, every thing has a hint of fade to it and it launches low, in the wind my 16* bbd is without equal its NOT a bomber its THE control club of clubs , i dont even take another fw in th wind , theres no point. its equally great for ma tee if required as it is from the grass its not the best in normal conds when i need a wood to launch high and sit on short par 5s, that role is taken by the 17* p104 with quadra tpx65s , in fact this FW has become my most versatile , its so easy to ingnite, doesn need to be monstered to work and i can make it move both ways when needed its a really ' nice" fw shaft , a total all rounder. Utility has been back and forawrd with the HONMA tw-u original, (it beat out the newer more compact version bec of head shape ,i hit it more like a wood than an iron.) and the royal collection cvxer 21* i cant shake these 2. if its blowy ill take out the honma, if its nice, then the RC gets it, both at impact are insaely good. wedges- ive taken all and sundry out but my "game day" are a mix. i love the PRGR tr multi-forged 52* from 2004 * , its onset i can get into the ball with compression and zip it about, its fantastic from 50 yard FWay bunkers and it zips all over the place and /or the honma 48* with NS 120s , launches HIGHER and plays more like a 50-52 than a 48*, i love its shape esp on tighter lies, if the grass is thin this gets bagged. 56* that goes to the yamaha raw black as a rule with an NS sp orange s, i cant get more spin with a wedge than with this , its not overly versatile , its a bit more point shoot with some sharp leading edge to grab spin but i can rely on it when im actually counting shots. The 60* is the fourteen mt-28 , period . When i play a " set of wedges " the PRGR nabla black 52/56 in the wet have beaten out the bolds , smaller more comapct head shape , or the Toursatge raw black pear shaped 52/56/60 when dry are THE most versatile wedges i think that ive ever seen , yea by by a long long way actually , think i enjoy playing these more than any, esp when im just mucking about, i can make these heads do anything i can think of, problem is , in comp, when i try to get snappy i often come a cropper..........the other set i love are the fourteen 53/58 protos, when im hitting wedges well(which is NOT right now!!!) i play these quite a bit more with my MB irons than anything esle, but i gotta be hitting it good! putters- ive rebuilt a cplf the golds and HM with longer shafts and thicker grips which has made a difference. the Gripmaster round has been excellent. the extra 1-2 inch has made a big difference to my stroke as well, much more upright and pendulum at impact and less handsy. Game time on 10+ stimps tho, its the ODYSSEY 2 ball exo that makes the least mistakes. the cost of it has been payed back twice already in nassau. balls- bridgestones and toursatge x-01s (still!!!!) something so mentally confident whne i hit these over all else, only other balls i like are the green/yellow srixon and RS spin PRGR form yokohama, but the B/S is way my fave. p/s good distance ball is the PREGR egg, that thing feels like a super ball. all wrapped up in these little rippers, the diamana ive been tryign to get hold of for over 5yrs finally convinced old mate to let me have one ! long live 2022!
  12. well..., if u like woods more than irons for utes this thing is one of a kind . off a tee its without peer. shaft it properly maximise its potential. on short links i dont leave home withou one,

    SOLD

62* / 6* 1 game old, ltd. ed. confroming grooves. molydbenum /nickel forged . pro level wedge. spin is absolutely insanely prepsoterous.
  14. nobs thats baically the only thing i want it for.. as a tool for going ok, my 5/6/7 irons go this far, with those shafs t i think it cud be a GREAT tool. i use more than 1,234,566,789 sets of irons per season as u know, and im quite often wrong with my distance sat .to sudnday when i swap sets on the same course. which does my head in! so a check to measure carry i think cud help a lot. i dont have access to trackman so cant use that. thinking is, if i miss one less green short on the par 3s , that can make a decent impact to my score.
  15. $125 each. 18* tour edge exotics 21* adams shipped from jpn.
