ah.. yes, this rings a bell with me. ive reshafted about 10 -15 of my putters this seaon. its such a simple thing to do. i bought a bunch of shimada stepless( a while back , love those shafts , there nothing super " special " about them except they look awsome with the one peice tubing and give the impact a taught feel. i esp like them in deep milled faces. with a red iomic absolute X on it. my fave NS purples had sold out or what was left had jumped so high in price i didnt bother anymore so, for super light im not being funny but the old mamiya frequency filter shafts are STILL as good as anything for magnifing the head impact thru the swing. from memory they come in about 110g , maybe less bunch of yrs back i had most of my putter with these shafts , a whole swag of golds and ive kept them in a fair few , alwas think about changing them untill i play them check these deets on a 360g golds YAMADA CUSTOM mod of mine. Total Weight: 517g Head Weight: 360g Swing Weight: E5.0 Lie Angle: 69° Loft Angle(Sole): 4° Real Loft Angle: 4° Face Angle: 0°open / Shaft Angle: 0°open ( try getting this done any where ) Frequency: 338cpm Shaft: UST Mamiya FF Shaft 34" Grip: Gold's Factory Original(Black) custom yamada for my 12011th bday a laqod of years back. i keep trying to reshaft his with a " modern shaft . but each time i play it i go, why???? in my mind this shud have a muziik dogatti or diamana in it but after asid round on the prac green irealise ite perfect as is. which kind of annoys me bec i do want the best avaialbe in it proves to me that shaft is n0 slouch. my builder tolfd me when they came out these were the most advaned light weight tech on the mkt for a redciulously good pice and did exactly what they do, make the head feel very alive. have to concur , that they do. give one of thoese oldies a try as well , doubt ur going to hate it.

the oldies but for me, the besties... now ive hit a fw or 2 over the season , but i gotta say there isnt a thng of more simplicity, beauty and feel than these . prob not ieal for your higher capper but if ur comfy giving the pill a toink AND like pieces not just for play but for esoteric then .. ALL IN on RC.

wow , thats some reco for the shaft. hmmmm.. i did like the look of this but now i think its very busy.... i cant pass over the oldies from RC and that thump at impact. ive become such a traditionalist when it comes to looks . simplicity takes my eye all day, this is a very different stlye to the ones i have , love t hit this but i dont think i cud game it. RC have made the cream of the crop fwd for so long. theres no possibility of htis NOT being good.

EXACTLY WHAT ID EXPECT from tsg'ers THANks FELLAS. the one i was "recod was the XT but i hated the diamana white, yuk. prob the only diamana shaft ive not like. hmmmmmmmmmm ok i might give that XM a peep, its for a cpl of fwds as ive run out of stingers and the sky is falling!!!! been using kailis of late and i have fallen in love allover again which is no surprise as its kind of the retial verison of the stinger specs wise , looks are killer as well, makes it go longer! had a flutter with quadra and they are very top end ,but i guess when u know a sahft so wel its hard to change . also , a cpl of crazy 8os have been on the go as well, man those things are TAUGHT!, not sure if hteres a better feelign shaft on the planet than the old crazy series. utterly addicitve. not the hghest launch by a long way but ifu never want to be under powred then these are the go.

dont guarantee its gonna be better........ for eg. i rehit the ryoma yesterday d1 3w. thats got a feel of its own. tight lie fairway. that and the modarts,oh and the ORIGINAL egg spoon which i re did and sent back to oz for links are still the most enjyable fws to hit. deeper grass, the RC f series, and cv take my cake. hotter temps here have seen an increase in ball distance for us by a signifacnt degree, back in are the stingers and dia X shafts. the NS protos and mons are also in lay on irons. there really is a difference in summer winter golf. th RC are back i nthe bag form now as well, out go the sleek FWs above.

i wont say much except just bec its new....

if u like the head but just want a bit of relief id jsut give the shaft a bit of a tweek. ive gone back to all time faves this season, not even looked and a new nad best........ the kaili in fairway woods has been aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh awe inspring. so much so i had to put one in an old TP09 9.5* driver head for fun and its been great., bit more workable and mid flight but its gets right out there with the big dogs of later vintage. had it in play yesterdy as well. not a com-laint cud i hear. thats a step down formteh diamana X i play as a rule and u can notice it in impact and felx , but its not "worse" just a bit ..........typical where as the X is uber dynamic. feel is BIG. ives till got all my unicorns but i dunno going back a smidge hasnt been a bad thing waht so ever. prob given me a bit more power towards teh end of the games in fact. for instance.. driver- , 7d,diamana X/stinger to kaili/ilima yes a big diference in feel esp off the middle but much easier to miss a bit and not try nad kill. enjoying them right now but in mid summer (next weeked) ths big guys come back out. fairways- diamana stinger,X, fire express proto crayz black 80 to kaili, muziik dogatti , ali islei in the same heads , i can notice a very discernable difference over all so far thsi season. been good to hone , but now all the big ones back i nthe bag. gotta say the dogatti 6 in a fairway wood has been a very eye opening experiment. super easy to ignite, mid+ flight, quite workable , very veyy nice feel , pretty electric, built that for a a bud but he took an ali islei 60s one instead so i kept it for winter,spring, really liked its perfoamnce and doesn t need to be killed to get it to work. back in bg a tho from thsi week. kamui tp 09 / 7d kamui tp 07 / diamana X 60x jbeam black 435 / stinger 70x astro tour v2 / diamana X 70s getting toasty finally overhere , balls are going noticeably further ,def higher and feel is INSANE npw. premium times mean premium gear. might bust out the NS protos in prgr tr500s again now as well! best score this season yesterday and felt great.

ryoma d1 9.5* diamana ilima 70s 45inch 10.5* Graph des. tour AD pt 6x 45.25 inch 9.5* low. ............. 10.5* jussssssssssssssssssssssssssssst right. wow forgot how low this head launches as a rule. straight, almost no ability to shape it regardless of shaft its punchy low arrow straing hand not that long unless ui ahve a ver yfast swing speed to ge the ball up. to be honest its too lwo for me at about 100mph but. its such an incrediblly easy ot hit stra8 driver it was a spot thant wont be on rain, or on lush grass, im thinking on links at longy or NSW or def melb where on ecan grab a few cheat miles AND be virtually assured to be on the fariway. DEF not for flying trees, its simply for disecting the short stuff. played this head as much as any other since 2009 . i think i ts a love it or no way ,too low, dont suit . which is why so many of these got moved on so early years ago and the d1 maxima got taken up so well, pesoanlyl i didnt like the maxima 1 bit , the d1 was always my go to. 10.5* GD pt6x , well this combo makes a big difference , much easier driver higher launch , more carry, GREAT feel , very electric. MUCH higher flight, abilty to move it about, , i put a gripmaster leather which is heavy and thick on it gives the head a more slingy feel. really feel the movement of the head thru the swing now. much more playable and high ercomneded over the 9.5* i cant play this one anywhere anytime. and will do . its a fabulopus build eventhos at 45.3 its way long for me ussualy, somehow this works without lossimg it all over the place dispersion wise.

i play NSwv125s in most wedges, kind of like that heavier drop feel. the 115s i use is a cpl of sets and i like. they are a bit more workable. ive used to have a few sets with NS 950gh but i find they laucnch super high in a bell arc and kind of FLY too much and dont spin back , funnily enought i use these in LW to get suepr fast head speed ,esp from bunkers and for those shots they work a treat. modus 120s are a very reliable shaft , the faster u hit them the more they skyrocket and really spin,i have them in one set of bolds, WILL NOT be changing them over , for what i seee they are much better option in thse heads than the shimadas in another set they came with. the mack daddy of light ones tho are my set of NS proto STx ( 105) in a set of prgr multi forged low bounce oh my gahhhhhhdd these go CRAZY high and rip back. thesres nothing close that ive hit, hard to go from nswv 125 to 105 tho and be consistent. im alwyas coming up short. yea the 105s are prob as a good a set as u cud want for a light set. jsut dont go back and forwd frm these to wv125s.

Oh yes, i Had a half season with these 2 yrs ago, my very old set i got returned to me from a bud that " borowed " them for about 10 yrs and forgot to return them till he fancied another se of mine, found them abck in my bag and a set of prgrs vanished! Mine were in reg tho, i played them coming back from an arm injury, i wanted a light weight smooth set and thats exactly what i got , i thought they were quite whippy and very high and an absolutley joy to hit , also i remeber thinking they maybe the best feeling steel shaft id hit actually , i had a ball with them but i found they spun like a poli on a campaign trail when my strenght returned . not sure why, prob the combo of the heads with them ( yammy ,09 i think ) another bud had ONE game with them a year ago and wudnt give them back............ again............... i dont htink thats coincidence! Not a bad idea grabbing a cpl of these nobs might hard step a set of Stiffs. Post injury i progressed from these to shimada 3001 > Super peening reds > modus 120s > SP orange > back to NS protos. i tell you what, there are No play similiarities between any of this line up ,each is a totally different style to the last. super peening range is very taught, boardy , rigid and ALL performance thru fligh height. the 3001s are lower longer flatter constant weight , again a bit on the boardy side and not a ton of lateral dispersion. then the protos are a totally different prospect compleltlty, heaver, fuller, sweeter. , very tought to play any thing else other than NS for steel.
